An entire year had passed since the incident. Her brain had been heavily damaged and thus had to be replaced by an alternative. The four year old blonde sat on her bed, staring blankly at the bags beside it. She was meant to leave the hospital soon, but she had no idea where to go.

Just as she was lamenting on those thoughts, the door opened to reveal a five year old boy. Recognizing his black and white hair, she gave him a smile as he came to her side. The two met under this very same roof many months ago, both being victims of the same accident. The only difference was that he had been adopted and she had not.

While they were chatting, a middle-aged man came in. He gave her a smile as he addressed her. "Evangeline, how would you like to live in the Kaidou Mansion?"

Shock was present on both of the children's expressions before realization dawned on them. They exchanged grins. "Yes!"
