Kaidou Jin:

Right now, we are riding the Duck Shuttle to a place called Mass Driver. It has all the equipment we need to turn the Duck Shuttle into a rocket.

"Someone's excited." I commented the person next to mw.

"Of course! This is space we're talking about!" Eva exclaimed.

"You like learning about space too?" Hiro asked.

"Yes! It was the best part about the observatory back in Brinton!" She replied.

Niara Levanov:

Even though the rocket had landed in Paradise, Kirito and I stayed in the cockpit so we won't get caught. Kirito had sent out his Joker: Kirito Custom to spy on Gardyne, Bishop and Dr. Mummy (a.k.a. Lex) in Paradise.

I walked over behind him to see what Gardyne and the other two are doing. So they're trying to re-activate Paradise? What for?

"Amy..." Kirito muttered. I blinked twice. Is he still thinking about her? Honestly I kinda pity the guy, but i doubt now's the time to think about that.

"I won't let you get away, Gardyne." He muttered.

I smirked slightly. "How 'bout we get outta here and earn some EXP when those NICS guys show up?"

He got up with a smirk plastered to his face. "Let's go."

Evangeline Mech:

We. Are going. To. SPACE! SPACE!!! THIS IS AWESOME!!!

Once at the Mass Driver, we put on the space gear given to us and waited in the Duck Shuttle like we were ordered to.

"I'm a little nervous." Hiro said. "We're going to space you know."

"Yeah." Ban replied.

"Speak for yourself. I'm totally pumped up!" I exclaimed.

"No worries." Jessica cut in. "The Duck Shuttle was created with space exploration in mind."

"Let's hurry and go to space!" Asuka exclaimed.

"Don't get too excited." Jessica told her. "We have to wait for them to equip the rocket boosters."

"Attention all members." Prof. Yamano said. "We will now be holding a pre-launch briefing. Assemble together ASAP."

We all went to the briefing room to meet up with the adults.

"We'll be using the Duck Shuttle's control pods with our LBXs to battle in space." Prof. Yamano explained. "You, yourselves can't go directly into space. However, the LBXs you sent out will be effected by the zero gravity. The problem of this matter is inertia."

"Inertia?" Ran asked.

"To put it in simple terms, it's force." Cobra answered her. He took Asuka's tomato juice can and rolled it on the table. "If I push this, it'll roll on by itself for a while. Inertia's the power of this movement."

"So what's that got to do with gravity?" Asuka asked.

"In the vaccum of space, that movement will continue one forever." Jin said, bending down to pick up the can. "If LBXs didn't have flight capabilities, they wouldn't be able to hold their position."

"It's kinda like when astornauts go to space." I added. "They used cables so that they won't get too far from the rockets. But we can't do that on LBXs. It'll only limit their movement, not to mention, you won't be able to control where it goes."

"So how do we prevent that?" Ran asked.

"I'll prepare you LBXs that is suited for space." Prof. Yamano stated.

"Suited for space?" Hiro asked.

"We're currently arranging for the parts that we need to remodel them. Using them, we'll create a new LBX for Ban and Hiro." Prof. Yamano took out a case and placed it on the table. "We're currently working on remodelling Minerva."

Ban was surprised. "New..."

"LBXs..." Hiro finishes.

"Minerva's being remodelled too?" Ran asked.

"That's right." Prof. Yamano opened the case and revealed 2 of those LBXs from back at the SMC of the National Defense HQ.

"Isn't this Proto I?" Ban asked.

"These are reserved units of Proto I, entrusted to us by Leutenant Jack Gelato." Prof. Yamano stated. "We'll add a CPU specially tunued with the HDMJM in them. Then you two will use your experience with Elysion and Perseus to bring out the best of this mechanism. Once the remodelling parts arrive, we'll begin working on them. It'll take aproximately 2 hours to finish tuning and equipping Proto I's new CPU. We'll be working on Minerva at the same time."

"Alright!" Ran cheered.

"Both Achilles Deed and Twilight were produced with space capabilities, so it's not a problem." Prof. Yamano stated. Kazu and I highfived.

"Professor Yamano, what about our LBXs?" Jin asked.

"They just need to use the riding saucers." Prof. Yamano stated.

"The riding saucers can be used in space, can't they?" Yuuya asked rethorically.

"They bring you to a disadvantage in close-quarter combat." Prof. Yamano explained. "But it shouldn't be a problem to use them for transporting and long-range battle."

"Now, we can fight too." Ami stated.

"That's great." Kazu cheered.

The door opened and Mangoose came in with a cse in his hands. "Professor Yamano, I've brought it over."

"Mangoose! You're too late!" Cobra exclaimed in his face.

"I had a lot to do." Mangoose replied cassually.

"You sure?" Cobra sneered.

"Unlike you, I've got a lot on my plate!"

"Are you saying all I do is laze around?!"

"That's exactly what I'm saying!" And they kept ranting on at each other.

Jessica sighed. "They don't change."

We all ran to the briefing room again when Takuya called us.

"What do you mean by 'Detector'?!" Ban asked.

No doubt, the Detector is on screen, but how did that happen? Professor Yamano is here with us. "To all humans that reside on this Earth: You will comply to all of Detector's demands. We will now demonstrate the power we hold." The scene changed to a small island off of the coast. "Fire." Then, a laser struck down out of nowhere and the screen went static. When the static depleted, the island was gone.

"The island... Disappeared?" Ban muttered.

"Just now, one of Country A's territories vanished." Detector stated. "To all of humankind: You have no way to fight back. You have 6 hours. During that time, you will declare your submission to us." And then the screen went static.

A bit after that speech, Diractor Kaios contacted us. "Director, did something happen?" Takuya asked.

"Paradise took complete control of the HQ's emergency security system." Director explained.

I didn't have to listen to anything else since I know clearly what the problem was. Since the HQ's on lockdown because Paradise took control, that means the main laser's next target must be NICS. After that, Gardyne patched a line to all communication systems, stating his rebellion to the world, winning the hearts of people.

Now things are even more pressured. We have to capture Paradise within 6 hours. We all got ready as the Duck Shuttle prepares for launch. 10 minutes until takeoff.

Then, there was an explosion. An army of LBXs were trying to destroy the Mass Driver. Everyone used the control pods and riding soucers to counter the enemy, but I sat still on my chair. Ran was also stuck with me because her Minerva was being remodelled.

Jin had told me to stay put so I did, but I don't get why he's been so overprotective lately. Sometimes it's a good thing, but most times it takes out the fun in my life. Well, I suppose he has his reasons. I remembered what he said to me years ago. I don't remember what happened, but he said those words. "Lossing you would be the regret of a lifetime." Why?
