Kaidou Jin:

We head back to the Duck Shuttle after hearing it all from Hiro. I'm still surprised that he has the ability to predict the future. I went to look for Eva once we got in while the others meet up to see Otacross and Takuya.

In the seats, I found her asleep and walked over. Her eyes were closed but I can see a few tears gathered up under her eyelids. I held her shoulders and started shaking her lightly. Slowly, her eyes began to flutter open and they watched me carefully. Fear pass through for a few seconds until she realised it was me and her shoulders loosened up.

She stood up and gave me a look. "How long was I asleep?"

I shook my head. "Not that long. Don't worry. The rest of us are meeting up at the room where Otacross is. Want to come or do you want to go to the girl's room?"

She shook her head signifying she's awake and I led her to where the others are. I watched her carefully and noticed her eyes were still dull and slightly red. Was she crying before she slept? Her walking started to be unsteady but she regained her balance on her own. She rubbed her eyes and sighed when we came in to the room.

We waited patiently for either Cobra or Otacross to finish hacking and eventually Cobra finished first with Professor Yamano's help.

"Hm? Cobra managed to win against the legendary super-hacker Otacross?" Amy teased.

"Ami-tan! Please don't look at me like that!" Otacross wailed.

"Anyway, this is the survailance footage from the HQ's security cameras." Cobra streamed it to the screen Otacross used.

"The president and Director Kaios..." Ban muttered.

"So Gardyne was serious about reactivating Paradise from here." Hiro said.

"He's gotta be crazy." Jessica commented. "He's abandoning his citizens... No, the entire world!"

"The man at the very back..." Takuya muttered. "He's Omega Dain's commander, Alan Worthen's right hand man, Bishop. Why's he here?" Then he got a call.

Afterwards, he sounded shock about something and then hung up. "That was Yagami. Alan Worthen's been murdered."

"Eh?!" We were all shocked. Eva looked down at her feet and she started shaking a little.

"What's happening?" Kazuya asked, frustrated. "The boss gets murdered but the right hand man's with Gardyne?"

"So he killed Alan Worthen?" Yuuya asked rethorically.

"I don't know. But I can't think of him as anything but Gardyne's spy." Takuya commented.

After that happened, we went to take a short break. In the training room, I sat with Eva alone while doing a bit of maintanance with Triton. Eva kept staring blankly at her tablet. It's like she's seeing something only she can see.

I tap her shoulder lightly until I got her attention. "Eva, are you alright?"

She barely nodded but then shook her head. "I don't know." I nearly jumped out of my skin when she banged her head to the table. "I hate it, I hate it, I hate it, I hate it, I hate it!" She said to herself.

Now I'm getting worried. "Hate what?"

"Everything." She bluntly stated. "My life's pointless."

Really worried. "Who told you that?"

She shook her head. "Face it. I'm nothing but a used up android. Innovators used me as a test subject, kind of like Yuuya. A test player, a bit like you. But other than that, they treat me like I'm their slave." She started breathing heavily and then growled. "Cobra is the same way."

"He isn't." I tried to reason with her. "He's annoying, sure and he's really stuck-up too... but he's still a good person. He's helped us alot."

She barely looked up. "I still don't like him..."

I sighed. "You don't have to. Just... Trust him until all this is over."

She muttered a "Fine..." then lift her head up and sighed. "What kind of life are we going through?"

"Depends on which angle you look at it." I commented, finishing the maintanance on Triton.

"Looking through the 'normal' angle, I'd say that our life is definately..."

"Crazy?"

"... Yeah sure, let's go with 'crazy'." She airquoted the word.

"What word were you looking for?"

"... Horrificly dangerous?" She said shrugging. "I mean, we're a bunch of teenagers trying to save the world. This isn't normal."

"Depends-"

"On what I think is normal. Yeah, I've heard that one before."

I inwardly sighed. She had me worried. Really worried. I haven't even thought about how the Innovators treated her. It was true that everyone used to think I was their master, second to my grandfather, but Eva? They never treated her anymore than a slave. But still, she bare with it. She kept smiling and lived through her life as it is. Not once she bothered to question why she was treated that way. But now, after the Innovator incident, she's having a hard time and I left her that way. I'm starting to feel like I'm responsible of bringing her into all this. Well I should since I did, but still...

"Hey Jin, what's wrong?" I snapped my head up at her waving her hands infront of my face.

I shook my head and smiled. "It's nothing."

She blinked with her head tilted for a moment then smiled back. "Ok. If you say so."

Then my CCM started beeping. I picked it up and answered. Ban's voice sounded through the line. "Jin, we're at the briefing room. Meet us here."

I narrowed my eyes. "Understood." Then I hung up.

I stood up and put Triton back in my pocket. "Let's go."

She got up and hung on to my hand, like she used to.

Evangeline Mech:

I like how Jin's always been able to help whenever I'm depressed or something. He's just one of those people who can understand a situation and react in a way that made no mistakes whatsoever.

I inwardly smiled. He's a good friend and I'd hate to let him down.

Then Hiro and Professor Oozora came in and we took a seat. Professor Yamano spoke first. "Now that we've established that Gardyne is behind everything, it's all starting to come together. Everything I did as Detector was to alert you about Paradise. In those assumptions, I was able to notice the plan to assasinate the president at Artemis. I couldn't prevent it alone. Ban and Hiro saved us."

"You mean..." Ban started. "You were the one that made those ememies underwater explode?"

"That's right." Professor Yamano replied. Ban and Hiro smiled at each other.

"We were led to believe that Omega Dain and Gardyne had contact for a quite a while before that incident." Takuya stated.

"Oh yeah." Jin said. "So back then, he... If only we'd notice him there."

I blinked. "Am I... Missing something here?"

"Long story short, a while ago Takuya-san, Ban, Yuuya and I went to see if there was a commanding computer in Omega Dain and we saw Gardyne there." Jin explined.

I shook my head. "Just how much did I miss lately?" I muttered.

"But to think that Hiyama was alive..." Professor Yamano muttered. "Gardyne must've used Hiyama by taking advantage of his hate of the world. A prime example of that is Killer Droid. That monster is hatred itself. When I saw the Killer Droid for the first time in Brinton, that hatred horrified me. However, I knew I was reaching my limits in fighting alone, and unmasked myself in Canberrun."

"But Professor," Takuya started. "Once Detector announced the Brainjacking as usual while you were with Ban and the others. Who was behind the mask then?"

"That was a recording, of course." Kazuya stated. "I broadcasted it."

"So at that point, you were already working with him." Takuya commented.

"Yeah."

"Then why'd you sent all those LBXs to raid us?" Ran asked.

"No, that wasn't me." Kazu said.

"Omega Dain orchestrated that." Professor Yamano said. "They were aiming to shake Detector."

"For now, we should focus on cornering Gardyne." Cobra stated. "We don't know what he's going to do next."

"It'll be alright." Hiro said, standing up. "We're all here together. No matter what happens, we can't lose. Jessica! We'll save bother the director and the president!" Jessica nodded.

Metamo, the Duck Shuttle's mechanic pilot, called in, telling us that we'll be arriving soon.

"Otacross." Takuya called.

"Of course, it's right here." Otacross said, pulling out a tablet. "I've mapped out a route that'll keep us from being Detected by the radar." He sent it to the big screen.

"I see, we're going by canyon." Takuya commented. "So we're going to fly through these crevices."

"That's right!" Otacross confirmed.

"Alright. Operation, begin!" Takuya stated.

"Yeah!"

We took our seats and buckled up. "Hold on to your hats, guys." Cobra stated.

"Asuka and Jessica are the only ones with hats to hold on to." I commented.

"Whatever kid!" He scolded.

I looked out the window. We're descending. "Get ready for the rollercoaster of a lifetime."

Then the Duck Shuttle zoomed down. It went on a series of turns and sharp edges. Everyone was holding on to their seats, as if they'd lose their life, but I was having a ton of fun!

"Woohoo!" I cheered. "This is awesome!!"

"I think I'm gonna be sick..." Asuka muttered.

Then we slowed down and landed. Everyone was panting while I was laughing. They all looked at me like I was crazy, especially Cobra.

"What? I haven't had this much fun in ages." I said smiling.

"This is... A serious... Matter... Kid!" Cobra tried to scold. Though he was still panting so I just barely caught that.

"Whatever old timer." I said, shrugging and unbuckled my seatbelt.

Then Takuya called in. Enemies? I thought Otacross said that we went through the route that avoids radar. Ban, Hiro and Ran went to investigate while the rest of us stayed in the shuttle.
