River Dancers
Most days, the river is spotted with color. It appears mostly blue, but red, yellow, purple, green, pink, they all dance across the waves like tiny ballerinas. They twirl through the wind, letting it push them and move them. The river works with the wind in carrying these dancers, and people watch amazed at the show in front of them.
They're all colors, red to purple. Some fly high in the sky while some stay close to the blue waves. They turn quickly and slice crisply through the water. They rise and fall, turn left and right, go in loops, and dance in more ways you could imagine possible.
A girl sits at the shore, watching the colorful dancers dip, twirl, and turn through the blue waves. The wind is strong, leaving white caps on the waves and tossing her hair wildly. She sits at the bank and stares at the colors cutting through the water and riding the wind. One day, she will dance out there. For once, she will be the show and the people will watch her. She will soar across the water, bright yellow slicing through the waves. Just you wait, it will be her you watch one day. Give her time.
