You look around the black room, a mirror stands before you. You cringe slightly at your own appearance. "Geez..." You murmur with a frown, touching the mirror. Your image changes to a look that you had already predetermined. You sigh and relax a bit, your eyes are drawn to the words floating above the mirror.

'Are you sure you wish to deceive?'

You frown lightly, "H-Hey now... It's not deceiving if that's how I want to look." You grumble. The mirror sinks into the floor and symbols start to glow all around you.

'Choose your class.'

You look around at them, frowning more. "Lets see... Thief is always suiting for me... But maybe I should get something with more power this time? A knight?" You look between the two. Another symbol catches your eye, it was faint, in the background behind the others. "Hm...?" You walk over to it, but remains dim. The skull glints slightly, and you reach out to touch it. "Alright, assassin it is."

The symbol wraps around you briefly, before a gust blows past you, taking the darkness with it until you stood in the middle of a cute little village. "Whoa..." You breathe, peering around, a few others were nearby, looking around in curiosity too. "Um... Mochi?" You call carefully. A knight looks over at that, starting your way.

"Finally here Daydream?" He rumbles and you grin, hugging him and surprising him. "Well then, that's certainly different." He breathes in amusement you pull away feeling a blush cross your cheeks.

"Sorry if that was too much, I've always wanted to hug my friend." You giggle sheepishly.

"Heh..." He smiles lightly.

"Excuse me, did you say DayDream?" You both look over to the familiar voice.

"DeathShadow? Is that you?" You tilt your head.

"Yeah, I suppose we all got the early access message... But there's not many people here... Perhaps it has to do something with regions...." He comments looking around.

"Too small, maybe town areas." Mochi suggests.

"So... We actually live near eachother?" You murmur.

"Perhaps, but if thats the scale of things, then this world is massive." DeathShadow breathes.

"I cant wait." You smile.

"Lets check out the town before we get the objective." Mochi hums.

"I wonder what kind of weapons they have." You murmur going to the shop, going in and glancing at the redhead that was already going through their inventory.

"Basic..." He mutters. You blink and scroll through as well.

"Maybe there's better shops away from town..." You murmur, seeing he was right.

"Actually, the early release is restricted in many areas." The NPC states. You both pause and look at it. "When the game fully releases much more will be released, including better weapons and gear. However, participants of the early release will get a high level piece of class gear upon their return in the full release."

"Alright." The redhead nods. His voice was familiar to you and you glance at his name.

"KillBot... " You murmur, making him look at you. "BloodRobot?" You ask.

"Yeah thats me. DayDream huh... I think I remember seeing your name pop up on Gold Fables." He smirks. "This one is pretty badass so far huh? Graphics are legit."

"Oh yeah, I can't wait to get started. Good game to you Killbot." You hum.

"You too DayDream." He nods. The sky darkens and everyone looks up as little streaksof light zip to the town's fountain. Everyone gathers beneath as the screen builds over it, showing a shadowy figure.

"Hello everyone and welcome to the early release. Here you'll have only one mission to complete, this demo will help us lock in on your true class so we can help you utilize it in the official release. I wish you the best of luck and hope you return for the full release." A voice resonates the area.

With a colorful burst the screen is gone and you receive a mission in your inbox. "Defeat the boss in the Scarlett Quarry and retrieve the fragment." You read out loud.

"Right to the point." Mochi hums.

"They're probably going to release the history of this place in the full release." DeathShadow comments.

"Let's see if we can farm first." You decide, putting the mission marker on. You smile a bit heading out of town with the two. You gasp lightly, feeling a breeze as you spot the large furry herd of creatures moving over the grasslands. You take out your starter dagger, feeling excitement rush to your chest.

"Certainly feels real like this.." DeathShadow murmurs.

"Lets go." Mochi says and you both burst for the herd. Once you're in range the herd locks on you both. You jump up as one charges you. It barely misses you and you take the opportunity to swipe your dagger at it's back. It didn't do much good, so you strike a few more times.

"Alright, look out DayDream." DeathShadow speaks up, you glance at him, narrowly dodging a fireball.

"Wow that was close." You gasp.

"Sorry." He says carefully. You just smile and laugh out, how exciting this was, and how real it felt.

After you were all leveled up enough, you follow the marker toward the only quest available. You skip ahead on the trail, looking closely at everything. So beautiful. "Kinda missing something..." DeathShadow hums.

"You think so?" You peer back at him.

"Music perhaps..." Mochi murmurs, going through his inventory. He hums, pulling out a disk and tossing it into the sky. It disappears and music fills the air. You and DeathShadow stop to look at the sky.

"This is amazing!" You chime.

"Exactly what I meant." DeathShadow hums.

"Looks like we're almost there." Mochi nods as a red rock formation comes into view.

"Wow, interesting..." You smile, soon seeing a small NPC standing at the entrance of the crescent shaped quarry. Her creamy white wavy locks fanned out around her, a pair of ram horns poked out of it, her little white dress dances with the soft gaze. She seemed to glow slightly until your group reaches her.

"Welcome to Scarlett Quarry, Team DayDream." She smiles with a bow. "I am Merry."

"Team DayDream... Did we agree on that?" You look at the other two.

"Actually, you're the only common factor here, without you the team wouldn't have been formed, therefore you are this team's current leader." Merry informs, making you look back at her again.

"Well... She's not wrong." DeathShadow comments.

"I don't have any objections." Mochi hums.

"Such advanced technology to figure that out though..." You murmur.

"Standby for one more party member." She says.

"... What..." You huff until someone large is tossed into you, making you both tumble into DeathShadow as Mochi calmly steps out of the way.

"Oof... What the hell..." DeathShadow grunts.

"Damnit," Killbot sighs sitting up.

"KillBot...?" You sit up off DeathShadow.

"I told you Killbot, only teams can defeat bosses." Merry speaks up. Killbot sends her an annoyed glare.

"Well, lets get going then," You hum, patting his back and standing up. He pauses and looks up at you. "Let's go kick that thing's ass." You smile. He smirks and stands.

"I like your fire DayDream." He rumbles.

"Well, I guess we better go face the boss then." DeathShadow steps to your side. You look to Mochi and smile before you all enter the quarry. You look around curiously at the scarlett walls. "Looks like a blood stained arena..." He mutters.

"Kinda badass..." You whisper smiling.

"It certainly is." Mochi agrees.

"Wait until you see this thing though." Killbot nudges you. "Dont get scared." He teases. You huff and push him as clattering sounds, looking over as giant bloody and kinda fleshy bones roll out of the cave, starting to hook together and forming a giant skeleton knight.

".... That was kinda gross to watch...." You whisper. Killbot chuckles at that.

"DayDream, heads up." Mochi speaks up and you pause, glancing at him before jumping out of the way of the giant blade.

"Still the sharp Mochi! Lets go!" You chime.

"You're so enthusiastic. But you're right, lets take him down." He rumbles, small black magic orbs forming around him.

"Whoa..." You murmur, 'Guess he found a hidden class too...' You think before focusing on the undead giant. The black orbs strike it making it stagger. Your eyes lock on the back of one of it's knee and you burst forward, slashing it and weaving between it's legs as it falls onto it's back. Killbot leaps over you, his battle axe crashing down on it's ribcage. You smirk a bit at that, starting to relax until Killbot gets smacked of it. "KillBot! You okay?" You call, pivoting back.

"Im good- huh?" He huffs as glowing button appears before all of the team.

"Team link..." You murmur and everything seems to pause.

"Team link; for sixty seconds all allies will be mentally linked to better help coordinate and execute skill attacks and deliver a finishing blow to a single enemy." Merry's voice rings in your head.

'Mental link....?' DeathShadow's voice murmurs in your mind.

'Well... Feels like it works.' You focus on the boss again as it recovers and stands, 'Lets test it out...' You start to picture the next attack in your mind.

'Seems simple enough. Lets do that.' Mochi rumbles and you smile. You activate your skill as you shift slightly.

"Leg sweep." You burst between it's legs, short blade's glinting as you take out it's knees and dive to the side as it collapses, the guys dont waste anytime to dive at it. Mochi's orbs flying through it's head while DeathShadow decapitate's it and Killbot crushes it's ribcage again. There's a burst of light as the boss turns to ash.

"Well done! Thank you for playing the early access." Merry's voice makes your team look over. She smiles, and points to the cave. "To retrieve the artifact just enter there."

"I guess that'll be it for tonight then." DeathShadow comments.

"Yeah... This is awesome though! Lets all meet on the release day!" You gasp grinning.

"It's a deal." Killbot chuckles before heading into the cave.

"DayDream, lets play together soon." DeathShadow waves before following the redhead. You turn to follow them but Mochi catches your arm.

"Something wrong?" You look at him. He shakes his head, leaning next your face and kissing your cheek. You pause and blush before smiling sheepishly.

"Just wanted to do that since I could." He breathes before guiding you into the cave where the other two awaited around a glowing shard.

"Says we have to touch it at the same time." Killbot says.

"Alright then on three.... One... Two.... Three..."

You take off the helmet and smile at it thoughtfully. "You're an amazing piece of equipment." You murmur kissing it before putting it up and looking at the time. "Oops... Stayed up a bit too late..." You mutter.
