Weird

I watched Jeno speed off down the street before entering the cafe. A very tired Renjun was behind the counter.

"We're about to close." He spoke, obviously annoyed.

"Even for me?" I smiled.

He turned and smiled. "Hey, Alia. What's up?"

"Jeno and I were out in the city and he had to go get his mom so he figured you would give me a ride home." I shrugged.

"Yeah if you'll help me clean up, Haechan is supposed to be helping clean up tonight but he couldn't come into work today and Jeno refused to cover his shift." Renjun sprayed the glass with cleaner.

"Jeno and Haechan work here too?" I asked.

"Mark too, he's assistant manager and this is his only night off." Renjun wiped the finger prints off the glass.

I took a rag out of the sink and rung it out. I started wiping down the tables before wiping the chairs and putting them up.

Renjun and I talked about the speech he was planning to give at his debate tournament. I continued on the topic and gave him my input. He just stared at me for a few moments but shaking his head and mumbling something in Chinese that was similar to "I see why now, she's a gorgeous soul."

I smiled a bit as I put the final chair up.

"Let's get you home." Renjun grabbed his jacket and keys. "Let's go."

Timeskip

Renjun opened the door for me and closed it after me. "Thanks for helping me clean up."

"No problem, it was actually pretty nice." I smiled.

He grabbed a container from the back and handed it to me. "Here, it's just some pastries that are still good but we can't sell."

"Thank you."
