WARNING!

"Fuck Justin! Why are so goddamn stupid?!" Chad shouted as he slammed his little brother against cold hard wall.

"Punk!" He screeched letting him go,  rubbing his jaw in frustration. He rested his hands on his waist eyeing the pathetic excuse of a brother he had, "why are you goddamn weak?! Huh?! You wanted to know why mom left us? It's because of weak ass boys  like you and that runt we called a father." He screamed at him.

Justin could barely breath properly, his body rattled with the pain of having being slammed into a wall more than three times, the agonizing ache streaming  through him, down his back to his legs, making him exactly as his brother had portrayed, weak.

Chad was right, he was pathetic.

He tried moving his jaw but ended up clamping it shut, to try to relieve the pain from the punch Chad had given him earlier on,  his cheek stinging ferociously like he had been in a boxing match with an undefeated champion.

" You wanted to know about Dad, huh? He was nothing, just  a fake ass wanna be, a pathetic excuse of a football player, that's why mom dumped his punk ass! Now look at where we are! He's long dead and we are here reaping what he sowed," He roared taking a step toward Justin, as he clenched his jaw in utter fury.

It may have been afternoon when this bitter assault was taking place, but Justin was just as hopeless as he would have been if it was midnight.

No one could save him because no one walked in the alleys of Chicago ghettos, at any time unless they wanted to get robbed, mulled or even murdered. The streets were hard and the people that thrived in them were cruel.

They only lived by one thing, either be the hunter or the prey.

Here everybody minded there own business. It wasn't a question of humanity but that of survival and instinct. To know what one is capable of doing and what one should avoid. It was probably the reason why in these streets, most would only look the other way even if a person was getting murdered.

This did nothing to help his current predicament leaving just him and his angry at the whole world, older brother in a part of town where anything could happen

Chad turned away growling in frustration as he stared up at the brick walls on either side of them, at faded poster of some politician wondering why he was given such a useless brother, he swung around in anger grabbing a hold of  Justin, lifting him up with one heave so his feet could barely touch the ground, "Is that how you wanna be, huh? Like Daddy?" He hissed.

Justin shook his head in reply knowing exactly what his brother was capable of, allowing himself to be crushed against the wall again. Chad stared at him with a wicked smirk, before letting him go again, allowing Justin to take quick recovery breaths.

He should be used to the daily beating his brother gave him by now, this was not the first, nor did he imagine it would be the last.

Chad had so much hurt and pain in his heart, Justin figured it began after they were both  abandoned by their mom when Chad was only twelve and he was about four.

This led Chad to blame their dad for everything because according to him,Mom only left because she found a quote better man who could take good care of her.

Justin couldn't really remember her, most of the information he had on his ghost of a mother was from Chad, who described her as a natural beauty, a woman who had been completely flawless with her Dark hair and soft brown eyes.

Her face had been forgotten to him as he was only four when she had left and after that his father had burned most of her pictures, the one's that did survive where later torn and thrown by either Chad himself or their stepmother.

The only thing he remembered was a lullaby she used to sing to him, although he couldn't even remember her voice at least the unfaded parts of the song made him feel as though he didn't completely lost or forgotten every piece of her.

It was only on days like this, after a beating, would he hum the familiar yet unfamiliar tune in his mind, humming only half of the words. It was a sad song for him, seeming to only remind him of his past, his father who was as Chad so eloquently put a sorry excuse for a football player. Not that he hadn't any talent on the contrary it was  because of his drinking habits that ultimately cost him the deal of a lifetime.

He remarried a year after their mom abandoned him to a woman Justin could only describe as wicked, one who abused them mercilessly.

Dad never really loved her like he had for their mom, it was a fact so plainly seem but Justin would have liked to think he only Married Katlyn because he thought it necessary for the boys to have a mother while growing up and not the other reason Chad claims, dad wanted to show her he could move on too.

However not the kind of mom Katlyn was, she was what Justin liked to call a witch and what Chad interpreted as a bitch. She would starve them and beat them but acted like an angel incarnate when Dad was around.

Five years later their father died and the wicked bitch took all that remained of value from them, (not that it was much) as compensation for putting up with their father "for five goddamn years," or so she claimed even though it was she that was caught in three separate affairs, leaving them homeless, two young boys to fend for themselves, begging on the streets for two months. Downtown Chicago was even less friendlier to a pair of homeless poor white boys.

Up till now Justin didn't know whether it was a blessing or a curse when they were found by a gang called The Wolves. Though Chad denied it a few times when they first came, now Justin was sure the wolves were a part of The Mob. It clearly was seen through the kind of jobs they did.

But they had no other home, so here is where they had stayed, and the damage of it had long been done.  Chads heart had been hardened by all he had been through, it was logical to Justin that being the oldest of the two he had probably received the most beatings and starved for the longest period.

He could not really blame him for  pledging his loyalty to the hands that gave him food and place to stay for the next six years, putting  in so much effort Chad actually  became the go-to guy for jobs such as  breaking in and robbing people, and torture? He was its master. Justin couldn't count how many times Chad came back with bloody hands and red stained T-shirt, a dark hollow look in his eye.

He really didn't like thinking about it,  but he knew Chad had killed before during the heists he participated in.

Jaws a 6 ft 3 muscled man with a clean jaw and one curved mustache had been the Leader if the Wolves  but two months ago he had been arrested and charged for first degree murder then three minors and then sentenced to life imprisonment.

Chad being the next best became the leader of the criminal group known as The Wolves at the age of twenty four, but God knows he looked like twenty nine in the least.

He had huge muscles with tattoo's of skulls and bones on his biceps, deep brown eyes, a hard jaw line, a dark brown shade of hair that was shoulder length, and a thick beard.

Justin figured his looks were taken from their fathers side of the family.

On the other hand Justin was fair skinned with faint dimples when he smiled and light lips, dark hair and dirt brown eyes, however he was blessed with a shoulder build and good height.

He had most definitely gotten his looks from their mothers side.

He was turning seventeen in three weeks

"I'm gonna ask you one more time, Justin and I suggest you answer wisely" Chad spat, "are you in or are you out?"

His tone was serious and his expression rough as he awaited Justin's reply, standing a hairs breath away from him, face to face.

Justin  knew he didn't have much of a choice.

If he said he was out, he'd be slammed into the wall again and beaten to a further extent.he doubted he could take much more of it but Chad was admittedly not the type to just give up, he believed in a ruling with a hard hand.

"I'm in," he said finally his heart racing wildly lightly biting his bleeding lower lip and swallowing the blood.

Chad seemed to study him for a minute as if he didn't believe Justin had just agreed before his face morphed into a tight grin, backing away from his brother, dusting him off  mockingly, " Good, see now If you had said that before, we wouldn't be here right now and you wouldn't be looking like shit," he said brushing Justin's shoulder, "It's time you learned how to become a real man."

He sighed turning away from his little brother and gazing down the dark alley, that had been decorated by dark shadows and empty cans and dumpster.

"You know I do this for you."

Justin stared at him, as he wiped his bloody mouth and tried in vain to achieve a good posture,  knowing full well that wasn't the reason but nodding out of fear.

"The worlds a cold place J boy, I'm just making sure you're tough enough for it" he said glancing at him pathetically, then He swung around and begun to walk away without even a subtle sorry. Not that Justin expected one.

" Wait!" He called back out to his brothers retreating figure.

Chad stopped in his tracks but didn't look back , his jaw clenching and unclenching.

His mind registering the fact that if his brother was changing his mind again he would beat him to a pulp. It's time he started acting like where he belonged.

A criminal.

"On one condition," Justin continued quite bravely, breathing heavily as he pushed himself from the wall and tried to gain balance or any sense of feeling in his weak legs,  while his other hand nursed his  stomach, which had also participated in Chads merciless pounding.

Chad grinned to himself then turned around slowly, his eyes squinting in the sunlight facing his beaten up brother, "what?" He asked. His eyes were anything but kind, his dangerous gaze resting on the pathetic wench he called his little brother.

"No one gets hurt, no one is allowed to die," Justin replied, eyeing his brother, he gulped slowly as Chad's dark soulless orbs melted into his.

Chad had to agree to this, that would be the only way Justin would allow himself to go through with this heist.

Chad stomped back to him, his steps wide and a deathly expression splattered on his face as he came so close to him, so close that their breaths mixed.

Then he smirked tilting his head to the side, "typical of Justin, always looking out for others," he said glancing down at Justin's bloody shirt before his smile suddenly dissolved replacing itself with a hard line " this isn't Disney land boy, you don't get things for free," he growled, poking him in the chest with his rough finger.

Justin sucked in the urge to run, or to crumble underneath his brothers gaze, but he mustered up the last bit of courage within him, " I won't do it unless you promise me," he gritted out, breathing harshly as Chads eyes seemed to darken at his response,  successfully dissolving his bravely.

Chad studied Justin for a moment before replying,  " Fine, but you should know a great request requires a great sacrifice ,  always remember that" he said his hands roughly patting Justin's cheek.

Then he stomped off not even realising, that statement alone, would forever haunt his brother.
