"Absolutely not."

"Oh, come on," I whined. "It's      only getting a beyblade to study!"

My boss studied me through narrowed eyes, his expression suggesting that he was wondering why he hired a fourteen year-old who couldn't stop herself from being fearless.

All well. His problem.

"Let me put it this way," he said slowly. "....what if you brother learned you were going to do this?"

I froze, then cast my gaze to the ground, muttering something under my breath that I hoped he couldn't hear. "He would tell Mom and Dad..."

"Exactly. Besides, you have a beyblade of your own. You'll be fine." he agreed before leaning back, waving a hand at me to dismiss me.

I shuffled my feet while tugging on my jacket- a leopard vest, to be exact. It was a habit of mine when I didn't like how things were going, but I was going to go the wrong way of my own will.

"Do you have any missions for me?" I asked hopefully, one last attempt in diminishing my horridly boring day.

He paused, turning in his chair to face the wall, clicking something as a screen popped up. "There's been a disappearance of a twelve year-old girl awhile back. "

I leaned forward, narrowing my eyes at the black-haired girl on the projector. "My job is to find her?"

My boss nodded, clicking something again- I really had to find out what he used to do it- and another figure appeared on screen.

"This is Riyui Kikamaru. The girl who went missing is her sister, Saki, so if you have any hopes of finding her, you should go to her first."

I studied the teen on the screen, tapping my fingers against the desk. She looked rather familiar, something I couldn't exactly figure out.

"All right," I said finally. "Do you know where I could find this Riyui?"

Timon Rehn sighed, propping his chin on his palm. "No, unfortunately. But this is someone who had alerted the WBBA of the this, therefore alerting us- the J.C.I."

"Japan Crime Investagation, yes, I know. Stop talking to me like I'm a person you're trying to hire."

He narrowed his eyes, spinning back to face me. "Ms. Rixen, you shall not take that tone with me. I hired you merely more then several weeks ago, and I will fire you without hesitation.

"Okay, okay," I rolled my eyes, gesturing for him to go on. "So who is this person who knows where Riyui lives?"

He shuffled some papers importantly before finding the one he decided was important, and slid it on over to me.

"Tsubasa Otori...?" I uttered, confused, my eyes narrowing at the stats of his profile. "A Blader, huh? Agent of the WBB-"

"Don't say that-" my boss cut in quickly. "He's currently undercover in the Dark Nebula."

I stiffened, pouting. "What? He gets to go, not me?"

He held up a hand, stopping me mid-sentence, silencing me further with a glare before I plopped back in the chair, skimming the paper clutched in my hand.

My eyes focused on a name on his paper, and I glanced up, looking at my boss directly in the eye. "What does Una Arashi have to do with this?" I demanded.

"I have no idea. I heard she's recently become his partner, or something."

I lowered my gaze back to the paper before standing up and striding out the door. "I'll find him," I promised. "And find Saki, too."

And the first chapter to Lion's Pride, the rewrite of Heart of a Lion, is out! So, first things first-

Riyui and Saki Kikamaru is Sarah's, aka @dobbie6539.

And Una belongs to @Eagle_Aquario. Check out Golden Eyes, which has Una as the main character.

UPDATE: Golden Eyes is discontinued.
