Kion and the rest of the lion guard were chasing Janja back to the outlands.

Kion thought it seemed easier to deal with them today when one hyena tripped him and sent him into the river.

"Kion"! The lion guard called out as he drifted down a stream.

In the shadows where Janja went a purple mained hyena waited.

"You know what to do" Janja told her she ran after the lion in the stream.

Kion eventually passed out from exhaustion he almost drowned but the purple mained hyena dragged him out of the water and into a small den.

Kion began to stir he took notice of his surroundings.

Huh where am I he thought before hissing in pain he saw a makeshift cast of vines around his back leg.

"Oh good your awake" a light yet sturdy female voice said.

Kion growled and jumped up in a fighting position but went back down due to his leg hurting.

"Woah take it easy feisty" the voice let out a cackle.

The young lion turned to see a hyena around his age with ashy fur spots that were similar to stripes and a small purple and black mullet.

"Who are you" Kion snapped growling and tried to stand up.

"Hey I said take it easy you could hurt your leg more".

Kion shook his head a bit shocked that a hyena was not only being nice but caring.

"Hey wanna have some antelope it'll make your leg feel all better" she said like they were friends and nothing was wrong.

Kion snapped out of his trance "who are you hyena".

The female carnivor look unimpressed taking a bit of the antelope before looking back at him'

"The names Jasiri man and you really should eat something before you start getting hunger pains".

"Yeah and I should trust a hyena why" he scoffed at her.

"Because I don't want a dead lion stinking up my den" she then laughed like it was the most funniest thing in the world.

Kion couldn't help but smile as her laugh was a bit contagious but he got his sense back.

"Look I don't know why you helped me but" Jasiri cut him off.

"Will you just eat before it goes bad" she said in a kind yet firm tone it reminded him of his mother on instinct he quickly started eating.

He noticed she left him food enough to share and she didn't eat savagely she picked at the food.

"Do I meet the leader of the lion guards standards" she cackled.

"You know who I am" he questioned shocked "well yes the mark on your shoulder is a give away duh".

Kion remembered all his lessons on how hyenas were bad.

"So what you brought me here to fatten me up and what eat me" he snapped again at her.

"What no I" he didn't let we finish despit his leg he ran out of the cave.

Jasiri shot up "wait your still injured" she shouted and ran after the lion.
