Chapter 31: Kiss The Boy

- Palutena -

"Palutena, look!" Lucina exclaimed as she tugged on my dress. I looked in the direction she pointed at just in time to see Robin release Thoran on Galeem. Galeem responded harshly to the attack as he was sent flying back and he landed roughly on rocks before landing on the ground. The rocks obviously fell on top of him, they never crushed him, but his wings were caught underneath many of them. "Galeem must be weakened greatly at this point! We must not waste this opportunity, Lady Palutena." Chrom explained as he immediately ran to my side. "Of course! But, I must have my Dark Pit back!" I exclaimed as I signaled Robin and Link to come over. Robin quickly ran over and Chrom pulled him into a big hug as he checked for any major injuries. Link looked closely at Galeem one last time before joining our side. I gave Link a pat on the back with a smile on my face before we returned to battle Dharkon. "Ugh, I hate the concept of a family..." He mumbled as he slowly got up to his feet after an attack. "Why? Because we're stronger than you together?" Robin replied in a teasing tone. "You...you must think you're really special. You are a vessel to something dangerous and evil yet, you lock it away. Who does that?" Dharkon asked as he glared at Robin only. "Someone who cares about and loves you. That's who!" Robin exclaimed, smirking slightly. "Ugh, listen to yourself. You obviously submitted to an idea that you knew would weaken your powers. Yet, you are here with your husband and kid fighting! This is so pathetic and such a downgrade, don't you think?" Dharkon explained, looking at his fingernails closely. "Don't you dare include my family into this..." Robin mumbled, opening his book and putting away his sword.

I quickly made my way toward Robin as I put a hand on his shoulder. Chrom seemed to notice as he put a hand on Robin's other shoulder. "Robin, listen to me, Dharkon is only saying those things to get to you. To take advantage of you. Don't listen to him." I spoke softly. "Include your family? Family? Pfft, you really sank low, didn't you? To the point where you're called 'papa' by your own child? This is honestly pathetic..." Dharkon continued to mock Robin and I felt Robin get angrier by the second.

"Robin, my songbird, don't listen to Dharkon, you are different from Grima. You aren't him anymore, you are Robin. My Robin, my husband." Chrom spoke frantically as he moved his hand and rested it on Robin's cheek. "Robin, deep down, you know how powerful you truly are. You don't need your family! Come with me and we will both plunge this world in darkness." Dharkon suggested with a smirk on his face as he extended a hand toward Robin. I looked at Robin for a response yet, he just stood and stared at Dharkon.

"Papa? Are you okay?" Lucina asked as she looked at her father with concern and worry. What was Robin going to say? Robin stayed silent even as he put away his book and walked toward Dharkon whose eyes widen with excitement. "Love?" Chrom questioned as he stared at his husband with fear. "Papa? What are you doing? Papa?!" Lucina exclaimed as she quickly stood by Chrom's side. Link and I looked with disbelief as Robin stood face to face with Dharkon. Is...Is Robin really going to give up and turn into something...that isn't him? "Robin..." Chrom mumbled, he couldn't believe what he was seeing and neither could I.

"Ah, so, you come to your senses, Grima?" Dharkon asked, chuckling afterward. "Everyone...prepare your weapon for an attack from these two," I ordered as I tapped the end of my staff against the ground twice. Chrom and Lucina lifted their swords with a grip of betrayal while Link gripped his with confusion. I sighed and readied myself for an attack from both Dharkon and Grima. "Well, you have an intriguing offer but..." Robin spoke before he reached into his cloak. I leaned in slightly to see what Robin was taking out and I saw it. His book.

"You messed with my family!" Robin exclaimed as he flipped through the pages of his book. "Thoran!" He yelled out and a massive lightning bolt knocked Dharkon roughly into a rock. He landed where Galeem laid as Robin turned around and panted slightly. Chrom and Lucina immediately ran up toward him and pulled him into a tight hug. "Don't ever do that again, Robin!" Chrom exclaimed. "Papa, you had us so worried!" Lucina added. "Oh, both of you are idiots for thinking I would leave my family that easily," Robin replied as he hugged them back.

I ran past the family as I stood before Dharkon and I put my staff in front of me. "Lucina! I need your help if I want Dark Pit back!" I yelled out as I recall the spell I need. I hear Lucina's footsteps behind me and then she's suddenly by my side. "What do you need me to do, Lady Palutena?" Lucina asked. "This might sound weird and cliche but, when I tell you to, kiss Dark Pit anywhere, okay?" I explained hesitantly as I pointed my staff toward Dharkon. "Uh, o-okay!" Lucina stuttered over her response as she blushed intensely.

I nod and I focus my gaze and staff on Dharkon. I slowly start to twirl it, the staff and Dharkon started to glow. "Light grant me your full power once again and let this angel turn into a vessel for a poor soul inside him," I mumbled as all of the dark energy from Pitoo came out of him. It turned into a huge ball above him, I look at Lucina and nod at her quickly. Lucina nodded back with a small blush and rushed toward Dark Pit. She hesitated as she stared down at Dark Pit until she finally bent down and leaned in.

"May a single kiss on the cheek be worthy for this vessel and soul!" I exclaimed and then all the dark energy went back inside Pitoo.
