Chapter 30: Thunderous Doubts

- Robin -

"Uh, Robin, I'm already having second thoughts about this." Link spoke with a trembling voice. "Please, don't be. We need to fight and save these two! We've come this far and we can't give up that easily, we'll look like wimps!" I explained as I stared at our battle area. "I guess...anyway, it seems like Galeem likes to go in hiding. Like a bunny's fur that changes during the winter seasons." Link said as he compared the two. "Yeah, except this time, we have a dangerous divine entity on our hands and not a fluffy cute rabbit to cuddle with," I replied, almost nervously. "Be on guard, those Light Strings can pierce through anyone and make those people literal slaves to them," I explained as I opened my book. "I noted ever since Rosalina was our first to go from this rescue hunt..." Link mumbled, readying his sword and shield for battle. "Even so, I feel scared. I feel uneasy, I don't wanna lose this battle." He added, letting out a deep sigh afterward. "Link, listen to me. I want you to take a look at the other side." I ordered as I put my hand on his shoulder. Link turned around to notice our other group fighting against Dharkon who had that sickening evil grin on Dark Pit's face. "What do you see?" I asked. "I see them fighting, struggling to maintain ground, and just trying, in general. But, what about it?" Link responded as he turned to face me. "While yes, I am scared about this considering my husband and daughter are fighting by a Goddess' side against an evil entity," I explained as I continued to stare at the scene before. Chrom, my poor husband, was having trouble finding a way to stay on his feet and not fall back.

Yet, he managed to use his sword as a way to stay balanced and get back into the action. My daughter, Lucina was trying her best to strike Dharkon yet, she seemed to be distracted as she kept missing an open after an open. Yet, she continues to try just so she can save someone dear to her. "They want to try to save Dark Pit from Dharkon's grasp so, why can't we say the same about rescuing Pit from Galeem?" I asked, turning my attention away from the battle scene and on Link instead.

"Lucina desperately wants to save Dark Pit so, why can't you say the same about you wanting to save Pit?" I asked again, taking his hands into my hands. Link hesitated a bit as he visibly swallowed and looked away for a minute. "Oh, I don't know maybe because he's not a fool like your daughter and he KNOWS he won't win against me!" Someone yelled out before both of us were thrown against the boulders by a quick swing of a hand. As soon as I dropped to the ground, I quickly got up from my spot then, I took out my sword and opened up my book.

I swayed as I walked toward him, my eyesight looked blurry, my brain couldn't function well, and my entire body felt like jello. "R-Robin..." Link mumbled behind me. I looked through the book and reread many spells over and over again. As did that, my sword immediately started to lighten up with electricity. "Come on...where is it?" I asked myself as I struggled to read the words. "Uh, Ark Thunder!" I ordered and I did a quick spin before I released a jolt of thunder toward Galeem. He easily avoided the jolt of thunder and actually grabbed it with one of his many powers.

My eyes widen at that and my senses came back once I realized the mistake I did. Why would I reuse the same move again on Galeem? He would know about it at this time! He would know and I messed it up! "Wow, a reused trick. Nice move, it makes things easier for me, little Robin." Galeem responded once his feet touched the ground. I stood my ground and shot him a glare as he played with the bolt of thunder in his grasps.

"But, I did mean what I said last time," Galeem added, his smirk being replaced with an unimpressed look. "About what?" I asked. "I suppose you didn't hear because you were out of your mind or something. But, you know, your daughter is an absolute fool." Galeem spoke. "How dare you? You don't dare talk about my daughter in that way!" I yelled out as I ran toward him with a firm grasp on my sword. I try my best to use the little techniques I was taught by Chrom and Lucina. I swing and swing but, Galeem kept dodging and avoiding every attack I threw at him.

"A family man like you is quite pathetic, always caring about your darling husband and loveable daughter. I'm surprised you survived this far, to be honest." Galeem spoke before kicking me in the back and throwing me against the boulder once again. This time I stay down knowing I couldn't fight in my condition that I put myself into. I looked over at my family who were doing a much better job at this than me. Galeem floated a little in the air as he continued to play with that bolt of thunder.

I could barely lift my head without feeling the painful sensation that was caused by the boulder. "But, now, I'll be sure you won't survive at all!" Galeem exclaimed, his smirk returning. He lifts his arms and the bolt of thunder turned huge as Light Strings continued to enter the bolt. I gasp softly at the final result and I close my eyes quickly. But, then, I hear running footsteps and I see Link with my book in his hands. "Quick, I need Thoron!" Link exclaimed and he drops the book in front of me as he goes in front of me with his shield in hand. "Thoran!" I yelled out with my sword being slightly lifted toward Galeem.

Soon enough, I hear a loud bang and then a crash.
