Three Months Later

"Aishhhhh!! Why would they want to meet and work at some random cafe that is 3 bus-stops away?!!!" I say as i take the bus. And yes, this Byun Baekhyun is a rich boy who doesn't drive and is someone who wants to live free. I only calls for my driver, Mr. Nam in situations like late night from drinking or early morning. I mostly take taxi and bus if it's in my university area.

This group project, I don't even know if they are being hardworking or just overreacting. They meet almost every day. It is a pretty big project, I should be glad they are working.

Haaa.. today is suddenly hot. I should get some iced americano. Pretty sleepy as well.

"Oh.. this stop" i ring the bell and get off of the bus. Oh there they are.. waiting outside the cafe. My group has 3 girls and another boy. Five in total.

"Sorry, am i late?" I ask

"No no.. it's okay oppa. We just got here as well" one of the girls says

"Let's go in" the boy says

Is this shop newly open? The theme is pretty girly but spacious. No wonder the girls chose the location.

"Chan ah, customers!" A woman says and to my.... surprise... it is Ahjussi. He is looking different. His hair is well done with some gel, white shirt and apron. How many months it has been since i last saw him?

"What would you like to order?" He asks the girls

'Haaa...nghhh... kid..kiddo'

His deep voice rings in my ears again ... I feel the itch..

"Oppa, what are you having?"

Our eyes meet.... I know he is naturally not a smilely person but.. even his eyes... they look like they don't recognise me.

"Oppa?"

"Ah... Just iced americano"

"Are you sitting in or take away?" Ahjussi asks

"Sitting in please" the boy says

"Ah.. here, my card" i say "my.. treat"

"Thank you, Baekhyun hyung" the boy says

"Please have a seat, we will deliver to the table" he says

After we sit down... haaa.. why did i choose the seat that is directly towards the counter?

"Isn't he so handsome??" One of the girls from my group says

"Yesss isn't it insane?! Damn the face card" Another girl says

"No wonder he is such a big topic among girls from our university right now" the third girl says

"Haha girls right?" The boy says to me.

"Y..yeah"

"Chan ah, what are the orders again?" A woman approaches him and....

The girls from our group keeps talking as they are preparing to study..

"I hear that woman is an owner.. she is a literal goodness isn't she?"

"May be that's why she hired such handsome man as well?"

"Or... are they dating?"

When the girl stated that, my eyes quickly land on the woman and Ahjussi.... And he is smiling at that woman...... and they look really close. She calls him 'Chan ah'

Are they really.......
I knew he was straight. But after what Sungjo hyung said those words, I thought he might be Bisexual as least. Or is it just one-sided from Sungjo hyung?

"Your drinks are ready" Ahjussi delivers our drinks

"Thank you Oppa" the girls say to him

Haaaa... how am I supposed to focus on the project now?

Kill me.... I ... couldn't work on my project at all!!!!!
My eyes and focus keep going go that direction. He definitely doesn't smile a lot but, he does with that owner lady.
Why am I so bothered by it? Whyy Byun Baekhyun!
Didn't you run away because you were so ashamed of what you did that one night?

"Thank you everyone! I feel like we clearly know our topic, research guidelines and parts of our own" one girl says

"Should we meet up every Wednesday until the project?" Another girl says

"I am fine with that" a boy from our group says

"The usual place must be this cafe!" The last girl says

"Agree oppa?"

"Aww... yes sure" i say.. why this place

"Okay! We did great everyone. See you tomorrow at university" the three girls leave

"Hyung, are you not going to go back?" The boy from my group says

"I will. I will stay here for awhile"

"Okay hyung. See you tomorrow." He says and leaves

Should i go and say hi?
I should right? Still he helped me so much.
Thanks god the counter is not busy. I walk towards there and "Ahjussi" i say "Long time no see"

"Yes. Long time no see" he says

"Oh, Chan ah, someone you know?" The owner woman says

"Just a kid I met a few times while working at previous convenience store job"

"Ah.. go talk with him. The cafe is quite empty anyway." she says

"No. It is okay" Ahjussi says

"Just gooo" she pushes Ahjussi out of the counter and we ended up sitting down at the corner table.
It is quite awkward to be honest. The silence. I used to feel at ease whenever i was around him a few months ago and yap without even thinking for twice. But now, I am thinking every words.

"What were you going to say?" He asks

"Ah.... How ... have you been?"

"I have been good" he answers

"Did you quit convenience store ? I haven't seen you lately"

"Yes i did"

"You still work at that bar? It has been a while i stopped going there"

"I quit as well"

"Oh.... That's good actually. That place... just doesn't suit you" i say but he really looks uninterested. "Ahjussi.... you don't feel like talking to me?"

"It is just, i know you have became uncomfortable with me."

"What?"

"Is it not the reason why you started avoiding me?"

"No..... It is just....."

"You don't need to act like you did mistake. Because I am okay. I am not someone close to you or an acquaintance anyway. I was just helping you out. That's why, do not feel bad about avoiding me or not contacting me. It does not matter to me anyway"

"...... just still.... I want to apologise to you. It is not that you make me uncomfortable. It is just i think i am being uncomfortable for you. I am ..."

"I do not understand why you are saying all of these right now. I have long forgotten it anyway. Even if it was another person, i would help out anyway. Because it just does not matter to me. I did that not because you are special or anything but because you needed help"

"I see." Not special... huh. "You can go back now. Sorry for bothering you at your work. I will go now"
It is my mistake for going up to him. I knew he was such a cold person anyway... and someone who would help people.... May be i did think I was special to him.

I rushed out of the cafe.... and i don't think I can ever face him. He is right, we weren't that close .... But that makes me.... That words makes me....

So sad.
