"C'mon Jin, you need to hurry up or we'll be late." My friend, and editor, Namjoon huffs as he throws a tie at me.

"I'm coming, damn." I mumble as I quickly fix the tie and straighten my clothes.

Tonight was a very important night for me because it was the release party of my newest book.

I had been preparing for this book release for months now and tonight was finally the night.

Although I was excited I couldn't help but feel a bit nervous.

I always felt this way while releasing a new book.

What if my readers didn't enjoy it as they had with my other works? What if it doesn't sell well? What if I fail as an author?

So many of these thoughts swirled around my brain as we made our way to the venue the release party would be held at.

"You're not nervous, are you?" Namjoon chuckles from beside me.

"Of course not." I say with my head held high as I adjust my tie.

He laughs again but I choose to ignore it.

"Here we are." the chauffeur announces then opens the door for us.

We both step out and straighten our suits before heading inside.

Upon walking in people begin to cheer and congratulate me.

I politely bow to everyone then follow Namjoon over to the main boss from my company.

"You did it once again, Mr. Kim." he says with a huge smile.

"Thank you, sir." I bow.

"There's someone I've brought for you to meet." He says and my eyebrows raise.

"Y/n, over here." he calls and I turn my head to see a girl with h/l h/c hair walking my way.

She was wearing a pale pink dress that slit ever so slightly at the leg.

As she got closer we locked eyes and she looked away shyly.

"Seokjin, this is my daughter Y/n." he says.

"Nice to meet you." I say as I bow.

When I stand I notice she's bowing also.

"Y/n has been a huge fan of your books for as long as I can remember. She's been begging to meet you so I finally decided now would be the perfect time." He smiles as he rests his hand on his daughters shoulder.

"Thank you for supporting me." I say as I half bow and offer another smile.

"I should be the one thanking you. You've worked really hard." she smiles as her eyes connect with mine again.

Her eyes were a beautiful deep e/c and I didn't want to look away but out of respect, I did.

"I even made sure to buy your newest book." she adds and I look over my boss then at her.

"Don't you get it for free though?" I ask.

"I do. I just like to buy them too. It helps you, right?" She smiles.

"Yeah.." I say a bit quietly.

"Then I'll continue to buy them." She says then pats her dad's arm.

"I'll call you later." She says then turns to me.

"It was nice meeting you." Y/n smiles then bows to me and Namjoon before walking away.

I watched as she walked over to some other people as if she knew them well, which I wouldn't doubt.

I wonder why my boss decided to introduce her to me now of all times..

"Over here." Namjoon whispers to me and I nod and follow him over to go talk to more people.

In the end, I guess it's a good thing to have a number one fan.
