Epilogue

~6 MONTHS LATER~

"(Y/n), you have been cooped up in your apartment for six months, only going out for work and groceries, you have to get out." Namjoon reasoned into the phone earning a sigh from you in reply.

Six months had passed and not one moment did you forget about a certain ghost. There was no denying it, you loved him but how can a human fall in love with a ghost? You can't initiate intimate contact or anything. That is what you would have heard if you went around telling everyone. But the fact of that matter was, you didn't love him for his physical features or the comfort he provided if you could touch him.

You loved the way his eyes would crinkle and his teeth would show when you made him smile. You loved him for his personality. Fearless and not afraid of what was to come for him in the future and what would happen if you did find out who killed him. The failed attempts to scare you or make you laugh. The many time he put you first and asked you to drop the case because he was afraid of overworking you. The little things that all added up.

You knew that day would come, where he would disappear forever. After all, it was your doing, your job. You could not bring yourself to be selfish and not tell him but instead tell him and let his spirit move on to someone else. You loved him too much to keep him here; stuck on a train, for eternity.

"I'm perfectly fine inside my house and bing watching dramas thank you Namjoon, So I think I will pass." You downright rejected.

"It wasn't a question, you don't have a choice." You suddenly hear Yoongi's voice boom into the device. "We are meeting you outside your front door in an hour, whether your ready or not we are dragging you dead ass out of the apartment."

"What is this, good cop bad cop? I'm fine guys, come one." You tried to reason. You hear a sigh escape Namjoon's lip before the muffle of clothing could be heard. You assumed he took the phone back from Yoongi.

"You're coming, end of discussion. We are coming in an hour and make sure to wear something nice; we are going to see Jimin and Hoseok's underground dance battle, HURRY!" He quickly spoke into the phone before hanging up.

You were left sat on your couch for a few seconds, frozen. Trying to process all the information just given to you.

Maybe it was a good idea to get out of the house. Either way, you knew that Namjoon and Yoongi would end up dragging you out of the house so might as well wear something nice and support your friends.

You hadn't seen Jimin and Hoseok in a very long time, since university actually. You met Namjoon and Yoongi in a writing class and they introduced you to their dancing friends. Both full of energy, especially Hoseok. They never failed to put a smile on your face. You had not seen them dance in years and maybe seeing them again will be refreshing.

You picked out something that was a little fancier than your everyday usual casual outfit and even went to the effort of putting on some makeup.

At last, the doorbell to your apartment rang which you were about to get but didn't need to since the door was already wide open and in the frame stood Namjoon and Yoongi.

You laughed nervously, you must have forgotten to lock it when you came back from grocery shopping a few hours ago, proof of your life that evolved outside of your apartment.

"So you decided to come after all?" Namjoon smiled.

"Yeah well, do you think you guys gave me a choice? I at least still have some dignity left to change and not let the two of you butts pull me out of my apartment in my pj's." You glared.

"You choose correctly, now let's go." Namjoon rushed you out the door and down the stairs at a rather fast pace.

"Whats with the rush?" You frowned.

"Oh, there is no rush." Yoongi casually replied.

"Then why are we speed walking down the stairs. You know there is such thing as an elevator." You reminded before stop abruptly before pointing towards the elevator the three of you completely missed.

"Just thought you would need extra fresh air since you've cooped up in that apartment for six months." Yoongi snickered whilst Namjoon pushed you into a moving motion once again.

"What are you implying? So you think I just stayed in my apartment for six months? I went grocery shopping, even Namjoon said that at the beginning of the call." Yoongi simply shrugged causing you to pout. You didn't even notice that the two of you had already exited your apartment complex.

"I changed my mind." You jokingly announced before turning around to walk back into the building.

"Ah, no way." Namjoon quickly grabbed ahold of your arm and dragged you into the car.

"I was kidding." You chuckled before willingly hopping into the car. Namjoon sat in the passenger seat whereas Yoongi took the role as the driver.

The car drive there was the usual, the three of you threw friendly banter around. Namjoon promised you a good time to unwind from the past.

"Where is this going down exactly? We've been driving for ages." You frowned as the scenery flew past in the windows of the car at a fast pace.

"This underground place in Seoul, I don't know, I'm just following the directions Hoseok sent me." Yoongi replied. "We should be there in a few minutes."

"Okay." You sat back down in your seat and waited for the arrival. The sun had now disappeared, letting the moon brighten up the dark night sky. Nothing much could be seen from inside the car now besides the bushes near the car.

It reminded you of all of the time you spent looking out the window whilst riding the train with Jungkook. It was always calming to you and you enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere the both of you are in when the two of you took time to watch the scenery pass by. Enjoying each other's presence.

You have zoned out and did not notice the car had stopped.

"You coming?" Namjoon called from outside of the car, snapping you out of your trance. You nodded your head after taking in the surroundings around you. It was a quiet part of Seoul from the outside.

Once the three of you entered the underground area, however, all that could be heard was the blaring music. The bass echoed through the confined area as the lights lit up the dark tunnel and purple, blue and pink lights painted the dance floor.

"It's been a while." You let slip out as you scanned the area in awe.

"Same here, I am glad we are here to support them again." Namjoon smiled.

"They've changed the battle location but the set up is still the same as I remember." You could remember everything like it was yesterday. The food stalls and drinking stations, the dance stage and massive speakers stationed at the rear ends.

"Not to mention the fact that they are now missing an important asset to the group." Namjoon chuckled before nudging Yoongi in the side. "Huh Gloss?"

"Oh yeah, I forgot they used to hold rap comps here too." You joined Namjoon as the two of you sent cheeky grins at the older.

"That was a long time ago." He simply replied earning a pout from Namjoon and you, the both of you were expecting a better response then that.

"I'm going to give Jimin a call, you guys stay here." Namjoon informed before walked off to a more quiet area. You continued to soak in the amazing atmosphere. How could you forget such an amazing place, you were so caught up with work and helping Jungkook you had completely forgotten about the stuff you did before being a prosecutor. You are happy you decided to come today. Thankful to Namjoon and Yoongi for pulling you outside of the house because if they didn't you would be curled up on the couch, binging a new show or anime (yes you were a grown woman but there was nothing wrong with that).

Namjoon had finished talking on the phone and told you and Yoongi that Jimin's dance group was scheduled to go on in about thirty minutes so they could not meet up with quite yet. Which was okay, it would be refreshing to watch them dance again before meeting up with them.

Jimin had told Namjoon or the three of you to meet up with his girlfriend which is what you all did. You sort of remember Jimin mentioning a girlfriend, you've met her in the past but it was a long time ago.

If you remember correctly she and Jimin had been dating since high school but you were not too sure.

"Hey, guys." The three of you hear a feminine voice yell over the music.

"Ahh, long time no see." Yoongi smiled before enveloping the small girl into a hug.

"Hahaha hey Namjoon, (y/n)." She greeted.

"Hey." You and Namjoon replied.

"I'll take you guys to the best location." Jimin's girlfriend led the three of you to the corner where you could see the entire dance floor.

"So how has your art career been going?" You hear Namjoon ask Jimin's girlfriend.

"Ah so so, I just sent in an application to an art gallery." She shrugged.

You begin to zone out again. You've been doing that a lot lately, it was just so amazing to see all this again and you wanted to witness it all like when you all were teenagers, although it would not be the same as it used to be but you cannot duplicate the past. Something you learnt over the year.

The wait was longer than expected and a few rumours were going around about it being delayed because a group had not arrived yet.

You looked at the crowd and stopped a certain red-haired male stationed behind the crowd.

Is that Hoseok?

You begin to walk through the crowd, towards the red-haired man's position but Namjoon stopped you.

"Where are you going?" He inquired.

"I think I see Hoseok over there, he has red hair now yes?" You shouted over the music before pointing at the figure, Namjoon nodded, answering your question. "I'm just going to see if it's him, maybe he knows why~." You were interrupted by the boom of bass. Both you and Namjoon turned to the direction of the stage. It seems it was starting.

Odd

"No need." Namjoon chuckled before the both of you walked back to stand with Yoongi and Jimin's girlfriend.

The two dance groups made their way into the stage and the music began. You quickly spotted the two of your friends on stage. Their group started off with four on stage but as their routine continued their numbers increased. They where amazing, bodies moving to the beat perfectly, bright lights emphasising their amazing tricks.

You felt like a teenager again, reliving the moments the group spent together, watching the others dance. It actually surprised you as to how many people you could actually name that was dancing in Jimin's and Hose's team. You spotted Jimin's girlfriend's best friend from America; Alex and some others but there was a few you did not. Your eyes danced around the dance floor, floating from dancer to dancer until you noticed a familiar figure amongst them. A tall male with brown hair which held a similar smirk as your fellow ghost friend.

It can't be

You told yourself.

My mind is just playing tricks on me, I miss him too much

You frown in confusion as you continued to watch the dance battle. Eyes never leaving the figure you seemed to recognise. It was uncanny how much that male resembles Jungkook, the way he carried himself whilst dancing and way he smiled when he danced. It was all the same, but it wasn't true and you knew that. You missed him too much and your brain was playing tricks on you, messing with your vision.

Besides it couldn't be Jungkook, he was gone and you needed to accept that. You needed to move on.

The first dance battle finished and the light dimmed, still leaving a very confused you. Yoongi noticed and quickly tapped your shoulder.

"Hey, are you okay, you look like you've just seen a ghost." He frowned.

Ironic, isn't it?

"Yeah, I am just feeling thirsty, I'm going to grab a quick drink. Be right back." You breathed before pushing through the crowd of people. Out of breath from walking through the big crowd, you stopped at the end where the crowd ended and took a few deep breaths before walking over to grab a drink from the drink tapes. You took two big gulps of water before standing up and whipping your mouth, getting rid of the access water.

"(Y/n)?" Upon hearing your own name you quickly swallowed your mouth full of water and turned around to see two familiar figures. One which had a pretty tall built but you could not forget the bright smile he always had on display to accompany his goofy hair. The other was smaller with a charming smirk.

"Hoseok, Jimin!" You gasped before flashing a happy smile, letting you momentarily forget about the male dancer. You enveloped the two into a hug before ruffling their hair playfully.

"Long time no see." Hoseok exclaimed after taking a drink from the drinking taps.

"Yeah, you guys did amazing out there." You congratulated. "You both had improved so much."

"That was only round one." Hoseok chuckled. "Plenty more to come."

"Of course there is." You chuckled, he had not changed one little bit. Still the shining ball of happiness you always remember. "Jimin did your girlfriend get even sweeter, you caught such a keeper, jealous." You pouted causing the male to chuckled.

"You still don't have a boyfriend?" You froze, well no. You did have a love but Jimin wouldn't know about that.

"Ah no, unfortunately." You chuckled, covering up your nervous state.

"I am sure you will~." Someone interrupted Jimin. Causing the three of you to turn your heads in the direction of the voice. Taking a step back subconsciously and hand covering your mouth as your eyes widened in disbelief.

"Come on Jimin, Hoseok we need to hurry back to the other."

It was him, standing on the ground. Wearing a white t-shirt and khaki bomber jacket, in the flesh.

You were right.

The same smile, same voice, it was all him but how was it possible?

"Yep coming Kookie, sorry (y/n). We will catch up with you guys after the concert, bye." Jimin and Hoseok quickly said before running off ahead.

"Jungkook?" You managed to whimper out, softer than the whisper. You thought due to all the loud screaming and music the male could not hear you but he did.

He quickly turned around to look at you upon hearing his man, making eye contact with you. He looked back at you and frowned, confused as to how you knew his name but either way, he flashed a friendly smile before hurrying off with his group mates.

What was even more heart breaking was that he did not flash you a smile that you were often greeted with when arriving on the train or when this Jungkook danced but the one he first gave you. The one he used when the two of you just met; nervous, confused, uncertain and polite.

That's when you knew that it wasn't your Jungkook because all the smiled screamed was; who are you?

~THE END~

.

I am 100% sure all of you are going to kill me but that's the end. Yes, the end. Thank you all for joining me in this book. I loved writing this book so much due to the concept. It was so fun to write about and I hope you all enjoyed it.

If you have read my Jimin x reader (<self-plug ;) ) you may have noticed I slipped some references into this book.

Also if you guys were wondering when I described Jungkook in the end ( his clothes ), I was referencing his mic drop outfit.

A sequel might be made or it might not it depends. But a new x reader is out for Yoongi so if you guys want to go and check it out it's called Hitlist.

Okay, I may or may not have timed this with their comeback...hehe but what did you guys think about tear? My fav track was '전하지 못한 진심' or 'magic shop'...I can't choose. Let me know what you guys favs are.

P.S I have a special deleted scene for you all and an explanation chapter. I will be publishing in a bit but its hidden as a secret chapter as it contains spoilers for the end of the book and I don't want people posting spoilers. If you would like to read it simply follow me, read the chapter and unfollow me but the last step is optional ;)
