Part 24: Reminder

As her sisters met Clyde, Lori was working hard in order to show her employer that she should keep this job. She didn't want to blow it especially since the money helps out a lot with rent and getting food for her sisters and her.

"I just need to keep at this and things will work out." Lori kept telling herself. She had to distract herself from thinking about Bobby, her ex boyfriend who was surely married by now. Part of her hated it while the other felt otherwise. Who could wait for someone like her...someone who beat up her brother for a simple matter and would often try to get her brother and boyfriend's sister together.

"Loud!! Get your butt out there and take some orders." She heard her boss call. Lori sighed and started to head out and quickly started to gather orders unaware that someone was sitting right behind her with widened eyes...his name, Bobby Santiago. It had been years since he had seen her and she was still as beautiful as ever. Once that thought appeared, he quickly shook it away...what was he thinking?

He was married and about to be a father to twin girls. Besides he could still remember the incident that caused them to break up in the first place. There was no possible way for him to still have feelings for her. Their relationship wasn't healthy either since she pretty much dictated what he wears or who he should hang out with. Those feelings are gone yet some part of him seemed to still hold on to those feelings.

"What am I going to do?" Bobby asked himself before he quickly finished up his food and paid for it. He had to get out of there before Lori notices...and make an appointment with a therapist. He needed to move on. Lori and him were done...no matter what this small part of him said.

Meanwhile, Haiku was sitting in an apartment listening to her boyfriend as he told her about the conversation between him, Lynn and Luan. Needless to say, she was almost tempted to smack him behind his head.

"Are you seriously going to help them?" Haiku said.

"Yes." Clyde said before Haiku sighed.

"Why? Why would you help them after all that they done?" Haiku said.

"I just thought that I could help bridge the tension between them and the rest of their family." Clyde stated.

"We both know that it is near impossible for them to be in good terms with the others. Most of them hate them with a passion while others are nervous about being in the same room alone with them. With good reason." Haiku said.

"I couldn't let them suffer like that besides...they're trying to change." Clyde said.

"We heard that one before. Look, I'm not trying to change your mind, but know that things will never be like they were before. You can't force anyone to change their mind about them and you need to be prepared for harsh rejection towards those three." Haiku said before she sat up and walked away leaving Clyde alone with his thoughts.

I know all of this, but I have to try. Besides some will love to have the chance to finally get closure.

Clyde thought before thinking about who to reintroduce to the three and won't hate their guts. The answer hit him....Lily!

Hope you enjoyed the chapter...Bye 👋
