Kissing Booth

When I reached the front of the line, I read the sign leaning on the table: KISSING BOOTH: 1$ per kiss.

The girl sitting behind the table looked up at me. She had a busted lip and her eyes glistened with tears. Even though she looked so helpless, her voice came out strong, "I only have five minutes until my shift's over, so get it over with."

I slapped a five dollar bill on the table. The girl looked at me, alarmed. "How about a hug instead? A minute per dollar."

She hesitated before wrapping me in a tight embrace, not letting go until everyone else left.

Sorry that I keep writing stories near the 100's instead of shorter. I couldn't find a way to cut this one down any more than I did, though. Hope you liked it nonetheless!
