"Riot is ranting to me about this GDU event or something." I said, trying to start a conversation. He glanced at me before returning to playing his game.

"And?"

"Nakatanggap ka ba ng ganun? You aren't telling me anything and she has been ranting this to me since yesterday."

There was silenceㅡuntil he decided to end the game he was playing and face me. Tumayo siya mula sa pagkaupo sa single couch namin at lumapit sa'kin dito sa kabilang dulo ng sala.

"Hindi ko sinabi kasi ayaw ko. Besides, I'm not going." He said with such finality that it bothered me. Was he not concerned about his future whilst there's a lot of beautiful opportunities waiting for him?

"Still, was that a feasible reason for you not to tell me, at least?" I spat back. Suddenly, such bitterness was running through my system.

Lumapit siya sa'kin at hinila ako patayo. Siya naman ang umupo sa couch habang pinaupo niya ako sa hita niya.

"'Wag ka na magalit, please. Ayaw kong pumunta doon dahil hindi makatutulong sa'kin 'yun. I have no plans in joining GDU and I have many universities offering scholarships to me. Okay na ako doon."

Bakit ka nagagalit, Rebel? Bakit ka nagagalit?

As his girlfriend, I just want what's the best for him. I want him to achieve what he can achieve because chances don't come in times of need. Chances rarely come.

Ayaw kong mag-away kami dahil dito. I know what I want for him as his girlfriend, but he can manage his own decisions as a man and I respect that.

"Next week na exam mo sa Paroxysm, 'diba? Nag-aral ka na ba?" he asked while we were walking down the streets, holding each other's hands tightly.

Like a child, I nodded. "I did, but I didn't stress myself much."

Tinignan ko siya pero nakatuon ang atensyon niya sa daan. I find it sexy. I love him when he's mischievous because he wants me to treat him like a baby, but I love it even more when he's serious because I can see him as a grown man who doesn't need me to choose for his decisions.

"Thrasher," I called out to him which made him stop on his tracks and focus his attention to me. He looked at me, waiting for me to speak up.

"Wala lang. I love you." Napaawang ang bibig niya at humigpit ang hawak niya sa kamay ko. I smiled shyly because of his response.

I walked a few steps but he still wasn't moving forward. He lowered his head and smirked a little. He pulled me to the side, beside the stagnant tree, and caged me between his arms.

"I'll love you until I have nothing else to give," he murmured before pulling me to a kiss.
