three cheers for evil
Sarah and Olivia ran after a thirsty looking Erica. Sarah took hold of her arm. "Please don't us you're doing what we think you're doing!"
"What? It's just cheerleading! I thought you said you wanted us to be normal."
Sarah and Olivia watched the main cheerleader knock over a girl's books and laugh.
"That is not normal!" Olivia said to Erica. "Cheerleaders are more evil than you two and your vampires!" She whispered the word vampires.
"Olivia, Sarah, you know I've always wanted to be a cheerleader and now that I'm really hot, I can! Besides, these girls have been telling me to bite them for years!"
"I don't think that's what they had in mind..." Olivia answered.
"Oh, come on! Who's gonna miss just one?" And with that Erica walked away from the girls to sign up.
"I will!" Benny said out of nowhere, making Sarah and Olivia spin around.
"Isn't this kinda like letting Magneto join the X-Men?" Ethan asked.
"I'll assume that's geek speak for a fox in the henhouse thing?"
The boys looked at each-other and shrugged.
"If you two have any ideas how to stop her, I'm all ears." Sarah said.
Ethan and Benny smirked, looking at the two girls, then the cheerleaders.
Both Sarah and Olivia's eyes widened once they caught onto what they were thinking. "No!" They both said. "There has to be another way!"
***
"Sarah? Are you ready?" Olivia asked her from the changing room beside her best friend, adjusting the skirt.
"Yeah." She sighed.
They both unlocked the changing rooms and walked out. Feeling slightly insecure, Olivia tried to pull her skirt down but it didn't make a difference.
"Cowabunga!" Benny said, checking out Olivia. Ethan, on the other hand, couldn't take his eyes off Sarah.
"Do not say anything!" Olivia said.
"You look... peppy!" Benny responded.
"Someone needs to make sure Erica doesn't do any... sampling and us two are the only ones who can squeeze into this thing!" Sarah said.
"Let's see what you've got, girls." The main cheerleader, Stephanie, said, with a grin.
Sarah and Olivia spun around, looked at each-other and nodded before following her into the gym.
"God bless cheerleaders." Benny said, as he watched Olivia and Sarah walk into the gym.
"You know, I think Sarah and Olivia might need some backup..." Benny said, heading towards the cheerleaders.
"I think they'll be fine." Ethan said.
Erica then pushed past the boys, roughly hitting Ethan's shoulder.
"I just had a vision!" He said.
"I know, bud, me too!" Benny sighed, not taking his eyes off Olivia.
"No! A real vision; Erica's out for the head cheerleader's blood."
"See? There you go! We have to help those poor, hot, innocent cheerleaders!" Benny said to him.
He put his arm on Ethan's shoulder. "Did I mention that they're hot?"
Ethan paused for a moment before smiling and nodding. "It couldn't hurt to keep an eye on them."
As soon as the cheerleaders saw Ethan and Benny perving on them they threw them out. Benny held his crotch and tried to balance himself.
"Or it could hurt a lot!" Ethan groaned.
***
The next day Ethan and Benny hid and watched the cheerleaders at risk of exposing themselves and getting thrown out and hurt once again.
"There's no way they're gonna let us in!" Ethan said.
"Perhaps if I use my charm on Oli-" Benny began.
"Forgot that. That'll never work!" He scoffed.
"We need to infiltrate, somehow - get up close and personal." Benny told him.
"And how are we gonna do that?"
***
"And after that, kick, okay? Now, let's try this!" Stephanie said.
Olivia couldn't help but stare at the new girls: Betty and Veronica, without laughing.
She knew it was Ethan and Benny. At first, she didn't buy Benny as a chick, but once she saw Ethan under the cheer outfits and a wig, she immediately knew they were up to something.
"You know Betty and Veronica?" I whispered to Sarah.
She scoffed. "You mean Benny and Ethan?"
"Thank God I'm not the only one who isn't dumb enough to think they're actually girls."
Sarah laughed. "We really have to talk to them. What were they thinking?!"
"Olivia, Sarah, stop gossiping!" Stephanie ordered. "And Betty and Veronica? Care to join us?"
"Oh, we care!" Benny said in a girly voice, skipping over to us.
"Now, warm up girls." Stephanie got us into a circle, Olivia was next to "Betty", whilst Sarah was unfortunately, stuck opposite her.
"I wanna hear you shout! We are devil girls and will knock you out!"
"Woo!" All the girls chorused.
"Okay, now hit the shower rookies. Some of your new recruits are rank!" Stephanie looked at Benny and Ethan.
Sarah and Olivia walked to the showers. "Do they actually think they're able to get into the women's changing room?" Olivia asked.
Sarah sighed. "We'll see in a moment..."
Ethan and Benny walked into the women's changing rooms with grins on their faces, but stopped once they saw Olivia and Sarah stood in front of them.
"Uh... excuse me I, er, I just need to fix my hair-" Benny began.
"Okay, stop!" Sarah said. "Save the act for your idiot friends. I can't believe-"
"No, listen! You guys can't tell anyone. It's important. I just had a terrible vision." Ethan whispered.
Olivia laughed. "Me too."
"I'm gonna have to wash my eyes out with soap!" Sarah remarked.
Ethan and Benny looked themselves up and down.
"Olivia and I can handle Erica." Sarah exclaimed. "Go practice your cheers and have a cold shower."
Olivia and Sarah turned around and headed for the showers, Olivia took down her hair in the process and Benny's heart melted. They both eagerly nodded. "If you insist!"
Olivia turned around. Benny couldn't take his eyes off her, her hair slightly messy was his new favourite hair style she had, despite the fact he thought she looks with pretty much any hairstyle.
"At home!" She shouted.
"Oh." Benny frowned.
The two boys slowly walked back to the door, with their eyes focused on the girls. They took one last glance before walking out.
***
The one thing Olivia, Sarah and Erica didn't know about joining the cheerleading squad, was that you had to follow Stephanie around like a lost puppy.
The girls followed her to the lunch queue and watched her rudely shove a girl out of the way so she could get her food.
"Liver sandwiches? Seriously? That's gross!" She said to the lady at the till.
"I know what I'd like for lunch..." Erica whispered.
"You know, this kids were here first. Everyday you come in here and-"
She was cut off all of a sudden and Olivia watched the lady's finger get jammed in the till. How the hell did that happen?
"You should be more careful." Stephanie said, before turning to her minions. "Come on, girls. We've got things to do."
Olivia and Sarah groaned before following, Erica flashed her fangs and hissed at the main cheerleader. They happened to walk past Ethan and Benny, who wouldn't stop grinning and tutting their heads.
"Hanging with those girls makes me want to stake myself through the heart!" Sarah said the boys.
Erica took hold of arm and dragged her along.
***
"This star is the most important position for the pep rally tomorrow." Stephanie announced, holding the girls arms up to form a star shape. "It has to be perfect if we're gonna get enough team spirit. Okay, I wanna hear you shout!"
"We're forces of nature, that's what makes a star. We may look like girls but that's not all we are!"
"Woo! Spirit fingers!" Stephanie said, waving her fingers in the air. "Way to cheer! Let's hit the mall." She said before tossing her pom-poms over her shoulder and strutting out of the gym, followed by two other girls on the team.
One of the cheerleaders stopped and turned around and walked towards Olivia. "You coming? We're going to get manicures and cute outfits!"
Olivia gave her a fake smile and nodded her head. "Maybe another time."
"Okay," Stephanie smiled. "see you!"
"I really regret signing up for this." Olivia groaned, walking up to Benny, Ethan and Sarah.
"Same, I can't believe I signed up for this! And you guys, why would you voluntarily?" Sarah asked the boys.
Benny smirked, scanning Olivia up and down once again and Ethan grinned at Sarah.
Olivia sighed. "Nevermind, I think we all know why they signed up."
"So, where to next? Straight home?" Sarah asked Erica.
"No, I'm gonna go grab a bite!" Erica grinned.
Erica walked out, Olivia and Sarah followed her out to their lockers.
"We're forces of nature, that's what makes a star." Benny cheered, waving his pom-poms around. "You know, something about that just makes me feel all tingly inside; it's great!"
***
"You know, it's something about that cheer song... it doesn't sound right." Olivia said to Sarah as they walked down the school hallways, hoping to find Erica.
"You're right, but right now we need to find Erica." She said.
They two girls turned left and were shocked at the image of a pink-eyed Stephanie and bolts of pink light going into Erica's body.
Stephanie saw the two witnesses and grinned before shooting a bolt at them.
***
"Benny, are you sure it's the cheers making you tingle? Maybe it was gas." Ethan suggested.
"My tingles are never wrong, look, forces of nature," he pointed at the open page they had in a book. "Earth, air, fire, water. That's what makes a star-" He trailed off. "Oh, man. E, this isn't just some chick cheer. I think it's some kind of incantation!"
"Forces of nature, that's what makes a star... we may look like girls..."
"But that's not all we are." The boys said at the same time, sitting up once they realised what was going on.
"So Stephanie doesn't just act like a witch..."
"She is one!" Benny finished.
"Wait, how come Olivia hasn't said anything about it?" Ethan asked.
Benny shrugged. "I don't know, last text I had from her was yesterday asking why the hell we decided to dress up and as girls and when I saw her today she didn't say anything about it... do you think she's under a spell?" Benny's eyes widened. "I hope she's not!"
"But that vision I had in the gym, it wasn't Erica's - it was Stephanie's! Tomorrows rally has nothing to do with team spirit."
"She's out for the human spirits of the whole school!"
Ethan's phone then went off. He groaned at the text.
"What is it? Is it Olivia?" Benny urged.
He shook his head. "It's Sarah; she says she's on her way over. Sarah's bringing Stephanie and the whole squad to see Betty and Veronica..."
***
"And then I was like... ew! No way! You actually expect me to like you too?" One of the girls, called Emily, said.
The group of cheerleaders burst out laughing but stopped when they saw Betty and Veronica.
"There you are! Don't be shy, girls, come join the fun! The spirit squad is now in session." Stephanie smiled.
Olivia ran towards Benny and Ethan. "Hi, girls! Nice hair! Oh my gosh, cheerleader sleepovers are so fun! Later on we're gonna give each-other mani-petties!" She jumped up and down.
"Make sundaes, and do each-other's hair-!" Benny asked, excitedly.
"Benny!" Ethan hissed.
"Yes!" Olivia answered, taking hold of Benny's hands, making him feel slightly lighter and shakier than usual. "We need sundaes now!"
"Olivia, what're you doing? You know Stephanie's a witch right? You of all people should know!" Ethan said with gritted teeth.
"Okay, I know she seems like a witch because she acts like a witch but she's actually really sweet! You know, as long as you're not ugly!" She whispered, jumping up and down before running back to sit down with her squad.
"Olivia's definitely under Stephanie's spell... she's acting like a total girl!"
"I know, I've never seen her like that before." Benny sighed, gazing at Olivia.
"What do we do now?" Ethan whispered.
"I know!" Sarah said, standing on the table. "Let's have a pillow fight!"
Ethan and Benny thought they were in heaven once they saw the girls screaming and the feathers flying everywhere. "Isn't there something we're supposed to be doing?" Benny asked Ethan.
"Everyone might die tomorrow if we don't stop the cheerleaders..."
"Tomorrow is hours away."
"This is literally the coolest moment of my life!" Ethan exclaimed.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Benny asked.
"Pillow fight!" They said in unison before running towards the girls and grabbing pillows.
***
The next day at school, the cheerleaders were all ready to perform.
"Olivia." Benny whispered. She turned to him.
"What?"
"You're under Stephanie's spell! You all are apart from me and Ethan!"
She laughed. "Ethan? Who's Ethan?"
Benny's eyes widened. "What do you mean who's Ethan?"
Olivia didn't answer. Stephanie lead them into to the hall and they began their routine.
"The moment has come, this is it! Our finest hour, no stopping us now! You can't resist our power we're forces of nature, that's what makes a star! We may look like girls but that's not all we are!"
The cheerleaders then formed a circle around Stephanie, whilst one danced around the circle.
"Garna, Virto, Immortality. Garna, Virto, Immortality. Give up now because you're gonna be beat. We are out for power and defeat!"
The girls started chanting: Garna, Virto, Immortality. over and over again.
"Benny! Now!" Ethan whispered.
"Substace, Thoresal, Linnemartnaral!"
a/n: i literally can't understand a word they're saying so bare with me thx fam
"Back off geeks, I've been waiting 50 years to bring this school down and no one is going to stop me now!" Stephanie yelled at them.
As the girls carried on chanting and the two boys carried on preventing what was about to happen, Stephanie's eyes turned a bright pink.
She looked at both doors and they slammed shut. Then she turned off the lights and began to raise from the ground.
The students watching then lost consciousness and their souls began to escape their bodies, circling the cheerleaders.
"Ethan, I don't think it's working!" Benny said. "Maybe we're saying it wrong."
"Step out of the pentagram." Ethan ordered. But the boys couldn't budge, it was as if their feet were stuck to the ground.
"Push grandmas pom-poms closer to Sarah."
"No!" Benny said, looking at Olivia on his other side. "Olivia's a witch she's twice as powerful as us two combined!"
"But is she more powerful than Stephanie?" Ethan asked.
"I guess we'll have to find out."
Benny stretched as much as he could towards Olivia. He breathed out a sigh of relief once he touched her and she looked around in panic.
"What the hell is happening? Is this witchcraft?!"
The boys nodded. "You gotta help us! Stephanie's a witch and is sucking out of souls of the whole student body!"
"Get back in formation!" Stephanie demanded.
Olivia ignored her. She glared at Stephanie, squeezed her eyes shut before opening them again. Her eyes were a bright purple. She shouted a spell aloud and a purple wave shot through the circle, causing them to all fall out of formation.
The spell was broken and the girls were back to normal. "Booya!" Benny shouted, turning to Olivia for a high five. She laughed and reluctantly gave him one.
The lights came back on and the students said back up, looking confused, they all began to leave.
"Sweet! It's like an all you can eat buffet!" Erica remarked with a grin.
Sarah stared at her friend.
"What?! Like anyone would miss her?" Erica scoffed and pointed at Stephanie.
Benny's grandma appeared all of sudden, walking up to Stephanie.
"She's a total-" Erica cut herself off.
"She's old! Emily gasped.
"You! You ruined everything!" She shouted at Olivia, who smirked.
"Poor Stephanie," Benny's grandma said, sarcastically. "I remember how mean folks were to you back then."
Stephanie magicked up a knife but before she could try anything Benny's grandma turned around and shot a bolt of pink lightening at her, causing her to flop to the ground again.
"What I forgot was just how much you deserved it." She finished.
Erica nodded in approval.
"Three cheers for grandma!" Sarah shouted.
"Woo!" Benny cheered, his arms flying up in the air.
"I am so done with cheerleading." Ethan sighed.
"Agreed." Benny, Olivia and Sarah said together.
"Smart kids." Grandma said, putting her arms around Benny and Olivia. "All that jumping around is fun but what you're left with is saggy pom-poms."
Benny and Olivia looked at each-other before awkwardly nodding and walking off. "She killed it." Olivia whispered to Benny.
He chuckled. "She's so embarrassing."
