We leave Kiwi and head to another room. This time full of barking dogs.
"It's so loud in here!" I shout over the barking of dogs.
Dr. Biot puts his hands into a "stop" motion.
The dogs stop barking.
"Whoa," "that's cool." Anthony gapes at Dr. Biot.
Dr. Biot smiles and opens the cage.
"This is Brady the German Shepherd." He introduces Anthony to Brady. "Lily, you already know Brady."
I nod.
"He needs to run around for a while." Dr. Biot tells us. "Lily, take Brady and Anthony to the field."
"Come on Brady." I pet Brady on the head and motion for Anthony and Brady to follow me.
We come to a wide field covered in green grass. Fences are bordering the outside.
"This is a big field." Anthony points out.
I nod. "Anthony, get one of those tennis balls," I point to the tennis ball bucket. "and throw it far. But no too far."
Anthony grabs a tennis ball and throws it to the edge of the fence. Brady runs wildly to the ball. He picks it up with his mouth, running back to Anthony.
"Good boy," Anthony praises, taking out a treat of his pocket, giving it to Brady.
Brady wags his tail.
"Good job," I tell Anthony.
Anthony grins, getting another tennis ball. I spot Dr. Biot hurrying to us.
"Kiwi is in bad shape. We need your help." Dr. Biot says urgently.
Anthony quickly ties Brady to a fence. Anthony and I run after Dr. Biot into a room where Kiwi is laying down on a bed. Kiwi squawks.
"I'll work on it right away."
I put on a mask and take out some tools. Kiwi's wing is bent. I give him some tiny medicine so he can go to sleep.
"Dr. Biot, hand me the needle."
He hands me a needle. I carefully put it in Kiwi's wing for a second and take it out. Kiwi just needs to rest for a while. No flying. He has to rest for a couple of days.
