Even When We Are Older
─────── • ❥ • ───────
A few weeks passed, and Chenle was found to have no record of identity, as though he never existed.
But the further the pair looked into it, even when the police created a passport and added Zhong Chenle to the Korean register, the more they uncovered.
Chenle wasn't aware of the modern world as Jisung knew it, because over one hundred and fifty years ago, a Chinese boys named Chenle went missing one day. The older realised that he had been a missing person all those years ago, and nobody ever found him.....even though they tried.
"I-I can't believe this," the brunette had muttered, feeling his heart ache knowing this. All the strange things Jisung had mentioned like television and video games never even existed when he disappeared.
The amethyst had kept his body young, or so Jaemin had tried to explain one day to Jisung who was curious to hear some stories. Only the Chenle and Jisung knew about the forest, and they wanted to keep it that way.
Jisung's family had also agreed to look after the teen until he was ready to leave. Jisung confessed to liking him, and the older couple felt that this could've been a good step forward for their son, and the right thing to do for Chenle.
So the pair connected all the dots they possibly could, and answered most of the questions they had. Some things, like why Jisung was chosen, remained a mystery though.
In the end, both boys had been given amazing new opportunities. Chenle intended to take this second chance and live it up to the best of his abilities, while Jisung supported him in every way and translated the world for him small pieces at a time.

"Hey, guess what I got!" Chenle called, running into Jisung's bedroom with his hands behind his back and a cute smile upon his face.
Jisung, who had been studying, looked up at him, finding his enthusiasm adorable. He pushed his chair out from his desk and shrugged. "What have you got?"
The older winked, taking small and tentative steps towards his boyfriend. "It's something special. It holds a lot of sad memories but also a lot of happy ones."
The younger frowned, trying to think. Apart from the amethyst ring his mother had given to Chenle as a welcome gift, he couldn't think of anything. "I don't know."
The older giggled, pulling a big and beautiful flower from behind his back. "This is something that I think holds so many memories for us. My captor, and my saviour. We sat for hours with these between us, talking and talking."
Jisung extended his hand, taking the white flower and smiling softly. "You're right. It's beautiful, Chenle."
"It's our lily," he whispered back, leaning in and kissing his boyfriend fondly.
