Glitch

After both Chenle and Jisung had calmed down a bit, and sat down to face each other as if it were a normal night, the pair chatted for ages.

Jisung wasn't particularly keeping track of time, but he wondered how long he had been asleep, and desperately wanted there to be more time. He couldn't bare the thought of leaving Chenle again.

After giggling at some silly joke, both smiled warmly at each other, the older's eyes drifting down to something that shimmered on the grass beside the younger.

"Oh, what's that?" He asked curiously, motioning towards the object by the pinkette's leg.

Jisung pursed his lips, picking it up and gasping. "My ring!"

"Your ring?"

"Well, actually it's my mother's, but she gave it to me for a little while. I like it because it has the same gemstone as the one on your chest. The amethyst, right?"

Chenle shrugged, checking his own precious stone before looking at the ring Jisung slid onto his finger. "Perhaps. Actually, give me a closer look, I haven't seen anything like mine before." The younger obliged, bringing his hand to the barrier.

All of a sudden, before he could even process what was happening, the force field started to rupture, glitching like crappy graphics in and game and distorting before the teenagers' eyes.

"Jisung?!" Chenle cried out, seeing a gaping hole where the younger's hand had entered the forbidden space.

Without thinking twice, and without even hesitating, the white haired male leapt forward. He jumped through the gap, feeling it close around him as he plummeted forward and landed head first into Jisung's chest.

The pinkette yelped, catching him though getting thrown backwards. They tumbled for a short time, landing with Chenle on top of the younger, both gazing at one another as if none of what had happened was real.

"A-am I dead?" Chenle whispered, not moving an inch.

"If you are, then I am..."

"What even happened?"

"I.....I don't know....."

"Are you real?"

Jisung snorted at his last question, "Yeah, I'm real. Can't you feel me. I'm...." he paused, eyes widening and brain starting to really compute with what had just happened, "Oh my god, I'm touching you right now."

"We're holding each other," the other gasped.

"The barrier! It's gone!"

Both shot their attention in the direction of the cottage. The barrier was in fact not gone, and the hole was stitching itself back together with that strange blue glow it possessed.

"I think I died," Chenle decided, "This isn't real. This is some sick dream right now, and I'm gonna wake up in my shitty bed with sore eyes from crying, a-and no Jisung, and no life-"

"I'm right here," the younger promised, sitting up with the older in his lap. "This is real. I don't know how, or why, or-"

"The ring!" Chenle quickly yelled out of nowhere. "Your ring! That thing touched the force field and disrupted it or something. That had to be it, or what else could it be?"

Jisung followed his wavelength, trying to think about all of this logically, when really there was no rhyme or reason to this place.

"Then maybe that's why I couldn't get to you the last few nights. I was wearing it, and they didn't want me here?"

"Maybe......I can't see any other explanation. Also," the older exposed his chest once again, making Jisung blush with how close they were, "This hurts a lot right now. Is that because of your ring too?"

Jisung stared at the stone on his chest, tilting his head and wondering.

Could this be what the forest really wants?
