Lily's POV

"Tuni wait!" I race up the hill after her as we are headed up to our secret clubhouse. Once I finally reach the willow tree I am completely out of breath. My legs are exhausted and I stumble as I bend down to crawl under the leaves. "Tuni, where are you?" I call out, looking for my sister. I walk around and to the back of the tree when I spot someone. He has dark black hair that is chin length and a long nose. He is very scrawny and seems to be dressed in some type of black robe. At this moment, my sister Petunia sneaks up behind me.

"What are you doing Lily?"

"I don't know." I respond back. "Hi. Who are you and why are you dressed so strangely?" I ask the curious and peculiar looking boy.

"I'm Severous. Severous Snape. I'm a wizard." I am so absolutely sure he is joking that I burst out laughing. I can't contain myself. "It's true!" He responds back. He almost looks like he is going to cry cry. "I've seen you, you are a witch!"

"That's a rude thing to say!" Tuni scolds him.

"No, Tuni, I want to hear what he has to say. Severous. Why would you think that I'm a witch?"

"Here, take this flower," he hands me a small white daisy seed, "now close your eyes and imagine it growing." I can feel the warmth spread through the palm of my hand as I imagine the seed growing. "Now open your eyes and look at the flower." I open my eyes and before me I see a pure white daisy. Fully grown.

"Wow! Severous you were right!" My emotions are filled with awe and shock when I spot Petunia race down the hill yelling.

"Mom! Mom! Lily made a seed grow into a flower!" she has a look of pure horror upon her face.

"I'm sorry Severous. That's my older sister Petunia. She can be mean sometimes. Well, actually, a lot of times. But that's just how sibilings are. You know?"

"I'm sorry, I don't," Severous apologizes, "I don't have any sibilings. Or friends for that matter."

"You want to know something? I've never been very popular. I don't have any good friends and since we both need friends, maybe you could be my friend and I could be yours."

"I would like that very much." I smiled at him and he smiled back. I'm glad to have a friend that understands me.

"Bye Severous." I said.

"Bye. Meet you here later?"

"Absolutely."
