Lilith/Third's Pov
The next day, Lilith got up to get ready to see Maybelle at the store. She showered, did her hair, and got dressed before doing her makeup. Her magic surrounded her as it cleaned her room as always. She finished before cleaning up, before grabbing her stuff. Walking down the stairs as photos of her and grams stared at her. Family portraits crowded her grandmother's house like a museum. Photos of her grandparents when she was young, of her and bonnie, distant cousins aunts, and uncles. The only picture that caused her to stop was her mother, Abby. Her picture stared at her before she got the courage to finish walking down the steps.
Her mother left her and Bonnie. They didn't know why except that her father and mother didn't see eye to eye. At least that's what grams told her. But she didn't care about her anymore. Yeah, she may have given birth to them, but she lost respect for the woman. She didn't care about her or why she left. Maybelle took the place with pride, as she would give her advice and teach her magic. She was there for her since the beginning.
Lilith's feet hit the last step in her platforms before walking to the kitchen. This time Gram was in there, drinking coffee.
"Morning grams." Lilith says as she kissed her grams cheek.
"Morning baby." She says as she watches her granddaughter sit down at the table.
"What time is your thesis?" Lilith asked as she put some eggs on her plate. Bacon and eggs are one of her favorites.
"At 1pm. I told them that I wanted to spend some time with my granddaughter before she goes to school. I won't be back until 8, so don't wait up." Shelia told her granddaughter.
"So, you aren't going to the founding ball?" Lilith asked, eating some eggs.
"No, I know Bonnie is going because of Elena and Caroline. So go tonight; have fun but not too much. " She gave Lilith a look.
"Grams," Lilith tells her before drinking some orange juice before getting up to wash her dishes.
"Just have fun." Grams stated before Lilith left the house. Grams shook her head at her grandchild. 'That girl,' she thought.
Lilith hops on her bicycle before making her way over to Laurie's Spell Shop. She rode with a smile on her face. The wind of the breeze felt so good on her skin. As she let the handle go, feeling like the Titanic before hurrying to the store. Once making it to the store, she got off her bike before walking it over to the bike rake. Locking it and going inside, she saw Maybelle boxing the council's order up.
"Good morning, sweetie." Maybelle says with a hug.
"Morning." Lilith sat on the left side of her.
"I'm almost done, and then we can take this to the Lockwoods." Maybelle told her.
"Lockwoods?" Lilith looked at her.
"The head of the council. The so-called vampire hunters. They think they are like their ancestors." Maybelle scoffs at the thought of it.
"Okay, I guess." Lilith mumbled before hopping down as Maybelle added the last item in the box before they got ready to leave.
Laurie's Spell Shop transportation was a van that was decorated with a blue, green, and purple base with a black cauldron as the words Laurie's Spell Shop in scary front on top. Lilith helped her take the boxes to the van. Better they shut the doors and getting in. Richard and Carol Lockwood were the mayors of Mystic Falls. Mostly Richard, as Carol did the balls or whatever.
Maybelle pulled into the empty spot as the mansion was busy with helpers helping with the fixing up for the ball. Maybelle put the car in park before cutting it off as they got out. With packages in hand, they walked to the doors of the mansion, careful of the caterers and severs. Carol Lockwood waited for them as they made eye contact with them.
"You're here. Is this-" Carol starts before whispering the Vervain part.
"Yes, this is it." Maybelle tried not to roll her eyes. Carol motions for them to come hither.
"Come," Carol says as they walk upstairs before being cut off by Tyler, who wanted to ask his mother something.
"Hey Mom-" Tyler stopped at the sight of Maybelle and Lilith but kept his eyes on Lilith.
"Tyler, this is," Carol started motioning them to say their names.
"I'm Maybelle and this is my daughter Lilith. We work at the Laurie's Spell Shop." She wore a tight smile. Professionalism is key, she tells herself.
"Right, nice to meet you. Lilith, right? You go to Mystic Falls high." Tyler spoke as Carol took the box from Lilith's hands before going to the office. Maybelle followed her with a cautious look towards Lilith.
"Yes, I do. You're the guy that was arguing with the other boy that time. Jeremy. Elena's brother." Lilith told him as they waited for Maybelle and his mom to get done.
"Right, just guys stuff." Tyler blew off.
"The I'll beat your ass type of stuff." Lilith gave him a knowing look.
"It was over something stupid. You know guys." Tyler backtracks.
"I guess so. " Lilith shrugs.
"Are you coming tonight?" Tyler asked as he tried not to roam his eyes on her body.
"I am." Lilith answered.
"Well, I guess I'll see you there." Tyler spoke before putting his hand out for her to shake. She wondered what she'd see before touching his hand. Flashes came to her quick.
Wolves howling, the moon, the pain of someone changing and a drawing of a hybrid sign
Before everything stopped as Tyler tried to get her attention. Her eyes turned back to normal before taking her hand away from him. Tyler wondered what was wrong before it was cut off by his mother and her mom.
"So, when we want more, just call and request?" Carol asked Maybelle as the teens turned to look at them.
"Yes, we'll make it to order and come to deliver it." Maybelle replied.
"Thank you for this." Carol says before Maybelle nods, looking at Lilith.
"Come on, sweetie." Maybelle, call out. Lilith turned back to Tyler with a wave goodbye before leaving. Tyler watched her walk away with lust before Carol smack his arm.
"Have some respect." Carol walked away from her son. Tyler shrugs before leaving.
Lilith walked with Maybelle as they walked back to the van.
"Why didn't you tell me that the Lockwoods are werewolves?" Lilith whispers.
"You touched Tyler, didn't you?" Maybelle asked her.
"He put his hand out to shake, so I did." Lilith answered.
"The Lockwoods have been werewolves since the 1800s, probably even longer. You have to kill someone to be one. Hopefully it doesn't come to that." Maybelle says before walking to get in the van. Lilith turned to look at the Lockwoods house before doing the same.
Caroline/Third's Pov
Caroline was choosing a dress for the founder's ball. Damon lounged on her bed as he looked through a twilight copy that was in her room. She was looking at two dresses—a yellow one and a blue one. She switches between dresses as she looks in the mirror.
"No yellow. Jaundice. Go for the blue." Damon says as he flips through the book.
Caroline looked at blue before and said, "II don't like the blue."
Caroline didn't know why she was even entertaining this. She could wear whatever she wanted. Maybe because he was some kind demon or something. He bit her over and over again. Her thoughts was cut off by him talking.
" Well, I do. And if I'm gonna be your date--" Damon spoke.
"You cannot be my date. My mother is going to be there, and she is a very proud gun owner." She cautioned him.
Her mom would kill him and ground her for the rest of her life. She put the dresses down. Before he speeded up to her as he looked into her eyes as he compelled her.
"I went through a lot of trouble to make sure this party wasn't cancelled. It's very important I be there. Please take me." Damon feigns innocent.
"You should come to the founder's party with me." Caroline changed with a smile on her face.
"Not if you're wearing that dress. What's so special about this Bella girl? Edward's so whipped." Damon spoke as he was back in his place on the bed.
"You gotta read the first book first. It won't make sense if you don't." Caroline tells him as she looked at the blue dress.
"Ah, I miss Anne Rice. She was so on it." Damon tossed the book away from him.
"How come you don't sparkle?" Caroline questions.
"Because I live in the real world, where vampires burn in the sun." Damon says still laying on her bed.
"Yeah, but you go in the sun." Caroline stated.
"I have a ring. It protects me. Long story." Damon looked at his ring before staring at the ceiling before he spoke again.
"What can you tell me about Lilith?" Damon questioned.
"Lilith? Why do you want to know about her?" Carolin's voice was tensed.
"What do you know about her?" Damon repeated.
"She's the whore of Mystic falls. I thought you handled her. Why would you want to know about her?" Caroline says before she felt Damon's breath on her neck.
"I won't ask you again." Damon whispers.
"She is a smart girl. All of the kids in elementary were jealous of her. She went to another school in Middle school away from us but for someone in her stature, she went to a smarter school and then she came back to Mystic Falls. In high school, she was dating this older guy, in his twenties. We don't know who he was, but it got out she was pregnant. She had a wild streak, guys she was seeing. She never had relationships, only flings or friends with benefits. We called her everything you know—slut, whore, etc. And next thing you know, everything disappeared. People didn't say anything. They treated her like nothing happened, like they forgot." Caroline told him.
"Like they had their minds wiped." Damon stated with a smirk.
"What?" Caroline questioned.
"My powerful witchy. Can wipe someone's memories." Damon turned around and smirked.
Caroline hated feeling like this. Another boy she was losing to somebody that wasn't her. Lilith had the brains and the body. 9th and 10th, she had all the boys wrapped around her finger. She never used to dress so mysteriously like she did this school year. Her body was a lot different also. Caroline only wished she could've been her friend, but she only turned soured once she saw her attention. Her myspace showed that she had everything. The trips she went on with her boss. The men that she met and boys. Jealousy was why she couldn't be friends with her.
"Why do you sound so interested in her?" Caroline wondered.
"She is going to get me what I want." Damon smirked before she changed the subject.
"These bites turn me into a vampire."
"It's more complicated than that. You'd have to feed on my blood, then die, then feed on a human's whole ordeal. This book, by Thwawa, has it all wrong." Damon rolled his eyes at the girl.
"You can be very sweet when you want to be." Caroline speak.
"Yes, I can be sweet." He tells her.
"Are you going to kill me?" Caroline asked him, feeling him come behind her.
"Mm-Hmm. But not yet." He hums.
"Why not?" Caroline questioned.
"Because there's something I need you to do for me." Damon smirks in her ear.
"Anything," she whispers dreamily.
"How good are you at getting this little nose where it doesn't belong?" Damon smiles.
"Oh, I'm excellent." Caroline smiled back, happy.
"Mmm," Damon says with an eye roll.
With Bonnie: At the Grill
Caroline walked inside the grill with Bonnie. As they went to go find a table, passing the Lockwoods as they go. Sitting down once they found one.
"You're taking Damon to the founder's party? What about me?" Bonnie asked Caroline.
"Go with Elena. Or go with Lilith?" Caroline told her.
Bonnie sighed. She hasn't spoken to Lilith since the dinner party. But grams told her that it was fine. It was a false alarm and that she is fine. That she needs to speak to her and get her side.
"I haven't spoken to her and Elena taking Stefan." Bonnie says with a sigh.
"Ok, go by yourself." Caroline replied.
"Gee, thanks. What about your mom? Is she ok with you bringing Damon?" Bonnie says with a dramatic head nod as she talks with Caroline.
"And I'm supposed to care why?" Caroline looked at her.
"He's older sexy danger guy." Bonnie said.
"Older sexy danger guy? Is that an official witch twitter tweet?" Caroline questioned.
"No more witch jokes, ok? At whole Mr. Tanner prediction thing has me freaked." Bonnie answers.
"Ok. And Damon's not dangerous. You know, he just has a lot of issues with his brother. You know, like major, deep-Rooted drama." Caroline stated.
"Like...?" Bonnie wondered.
"I'm not really supposed to say anything." Caroline feigns avoidance, knowing she's about to sing like a bird.
" Caroline Forbes, when have you ever kept a secret in your life?" Bonnie spoke in a matter of fact.
"Ok. But you can't tell Elena." Caroline gushed.
"No." Bonnie agreed knowing damn well she was going to spill to Elena.
Lilith/Third's Pov
She helped Maybelle with the customers and stock shelves. She was just getting a lot of books from the back when She was hit with a vision.
He can have it! I won't let him. a gold crystal-like necklace. Destroy it! We can't let him open the door.
As she looked at the flashes of the domesticated vampires, skin grey veins and as they groan for blood. The flashes were gone quickly as they show. She looked down at the fallen books before getting down to pick them up. Once she was done, she sat the books on the cart before moving it to the front. Maybelle ring up the last customer before they were closed for the night. She started putting up the books before Maybelle came to her.
"So, have you started getting ready for the founder's ball?" Maybelle dramatically says.
"I haven't started yet." Lilith stated.
"Come on, I have a place to show you." Maybelle grabbed her jacket and purse as Lilith quickly put up the last book before following her.
"Where are we going?" Lilith asked.
"You are going to be the belle of the ball. Come." Maybelle says as they walked in the place called Angie's. The place was beautiful looking. Hair stylists and nail techs was everywhere. The place was fill with people also getting ready for the founding Ball. A lady shouted out to them as they walked in.
"Oh, if it isn't Maybelle Laurie! How are my dear." The kissed both her cheeks.
"Hello, Alice how are you?" Maybelle asked.
"Oh, honey perfect. Business is booming." Alice points to everything.
"I see. Well, me and my daughter actually was going to the ball tonight and I was wondering can you do what you always do and make us pretty." Maybelle smiled.
"Oh honey, you two will be princesses." Alice grinned before motioning them over. Walking over to an hairstylist that was sweeping.
"This is Alondro. Alondro this is .." Alice paused asking Lilith for her name.
"Lilith." Lilith says.
"Lilith, interesting name young lady. I know your mom is very proud." Alice told her.
"Thank you."
"Well, Alondro, take care of Lilith please and I got Maybelle." Alice told him.
"Of course, Alice." As he made Lilith sit down in the chair.
Between those two hours, she was plucked and wax, nails down, hair down and toes down. Her hair in fluff curls as her and Maybelle left.
