5. The first kiss
We went back up to my room and continued to work on the banner. Yuri had already finished her part so she decided to write her poetry for the festival. I continued painting and my part was finally done. It was only 7:21 when I finished. There were so many more hours to the day.
"Hey Yuri, I've finished!" I exclaimed. "Oh, that's great! How about you write you poem for the festival?" "I already wrote it a couple days ago." She smiled and looked around. "We could play battleships?" I nodded and got it out from under my bed.
I blew the dust off of it and waited for her to finish writing her poem. "I'm done!" She spun my chair round and looked at the box. I opened it and gave her the part that she would need. I took my part and I set my ships out.
We decided that I would guess first. "Hmm.. A5?" I guessed. "You've missed!" It was now Yuri's turn. "I know! C4!" "Aw! You hit my battleship and you sunk it because it was the one that's one one tile." "Yay! Only 4 more boats I think!" She played a couple games of battleships and somehow every time she won.
"Let's play connect 4!" I smiled at her and got it out. I opened it and set it up on the floor. Yuri got up and she sat on the floor. Just like battleships we played a couple matches and Yuri kept on winning. I couldn't think of anything else we could do after we played all the other board games in my house.
"Wait! Let's play eraser drop. I brought two erasers with me just in case." We went downstairs and put our two erasers on my dining room table. I flicked my eraser and somehow it flew off the table and landed on the floor meaning yet again, Yuri won. "Your so good at everything!" I laughed.
She nodded her head and smiled at me. "Thank you!" I held Yuri's hand and led her outside. "Want to go to the park?" I asked. She nodded her head and I brung us there.
We were greeted with a small pond with many ducks in. We then saw a couple of beautiful sakura trees. We fed the ducks and continued walking underneath archways.
We went past beautiful flowers and cute dogs and cats. It was the most romantic thing ever. Yuri pulled me under an archway covered in sakura leaves. She held my face and slowly brung it in until we were kissing. For someone so quiet she was actually really good at kissing.
The kiss lasted about 30 seconds which was surprising because it was a first. She pulled away and broke the eye contact. She was still holding my face though like she was going to kiss me again.
I turned Yuri's face to look at me and held her face. I went in to kiss her and unsurprisingly she didn't refuse. I loved her so much and I was so happy she did that. After it, she started to act all nervous. "I-I'm sorry.." she stuttered. I shook my head intensely. "It's completely fine!"
She led us back to my place and I unlocked the door. I saw Sayori searching everywhere for me. "Oh! Your there." She gasped. "You scared me!" I smiled at her and left Yuri to see what Sayori was doing. "Hey! Stop looking through my phone!" She came to a photo on my phone of me and Yuri hugging on my couch.
"Y-You.. W-what?" She stuttered visibly sad. She tried to leave but I held her by the wrist. "Please don't go! Your my bestest friend in the whole world!" She rolled her eyes and walked off. I looked at the ground in despair. "I- uh.. I don't think it's a good idea if we date.." She mumbled. "No! Please.. for me?" She sighed and looked away. "I do like you it's just I feel like.. Monika wouldn't like it." "Huh, why?" "Oh. I shouldn't tell you."
I looked at Yuri with the slightest bit of hope but she just shook her head. "We can be something like you and Sayori I guess.." I looked around and saw Monika in my window, smirking. I stared at Monika in disappointment. She suddenly ran away.
"It wasn't Monika, mc.. I just don't really want to anymore." Yuri sighed hoping I would understand her. "Oh.. I get your point.." I walked into my room and shut the door. Yuri just sat down and didn't try to interfere. I started writing my next poem for the festival tomorrow.
I got a text from Sayori saying for me to meet her outside of her house. I exited my house completely ignoring Yuri and walked straight in front of me. I saw Sayori in the middle of the road.
"Hey, what did you want?" I asked softly. "Well.. you know how we are like inseparable best friends?" I nodded my head knowing where it was going. "If you don't want to be friends I get it because of what you witnessed."
She shook her head and blushed. "It's actually.. kind of the opposite.." She mumbled looking extremely red. "So.. you like me?" "Yes! Like that!" "I already knew that, we're best friends after all!"
She sighed and shook her head. "Well.. not like that.." I tilted my head to the side in confusion. "Then what is it?" I knew she didn't like me like that so that's why I couldn't guess it.
"I love you!" She exclaimed
