Dangerous Julian

Liliana's POV

Another year on the Hogwarts Express. But unlike last year, I had no one to sit with.

Oh! Is that Draco?! I ran over and tackled him down.

"Hello!" I chirped. Draco didn't look very happy to be on the floor, but that's okay. I pulled him up with one hand.

"I really like how you don't even say hello to me, pretty girl," A boy commented. I turned to look at him.

"Who are you?" I asked curiously.

He smiled. "Julian. Julian Lestrange. I didn't quite catch your name.".

"Oh, I'm Liliana Potter," I answered.

"Potter?" he spat. "Like that famous Harry Potter?!"

I nodded. "Uh-huh. I'm his half-twin. We have the same father."

Julian looked...almost relieved. "So, you're pureblood, then?"

"Yes." Why do I get this weird feeling whenever Julian talks to me? It makes me feel...like I'm abnormal or something! I mean-

Draco cleared his throat. I'd almost forgotten he was still there. "We should get a compartment," he suggests.

Julian waves it off. "I just found something more interesting," he announced. Then he grabbed my hand and pulled me down the train, to the Gryffindor compartments. Draco followed silently behind.

We stopped in front of the only not full compartment, and Julian let go of my hand momentarily to slam the door open. I could've sworn it was locked seconds ago.

The two girls sitting in it screamed. I recognized one voice, but the other was new. On sight of them, Draco's eyes lit up.

"Oh, look," he started. "It's Mudblood and Weaslette!"

Julian smirked. "A Mudblood and a Blood Traitor, huh?"

Hermione's POV

"I'm sure they'll be alright," I told Ginny, trying to reassure her.

"But why aren't they here-" Ginny started, but only to be cut off by a slam of our compartment door. We screamed, since I clearly remember locking it!

"Oh, look. It's Mudblood and Weaslette!" The annoying voice of Malfoy greeted.

"A Mudblood and a Blood Traitor, huh?" An unfamiliar voice answered.

We both looked up to have both our faces slapped. Ginny gasped and I clutched my cheek.

"You don't deserve to look at me in the eye," the same voice sneered. Malfoy's laughs are heard in the background.

"Let's go, Julian," a girl's voice whined. I recognized that voice to be...Liliana?!

"And stop all the fun?" This Julian boy teased, whacking Ginny's head.

"Stop it!" I shouted. "You're hurting her! She is only a first year!"

Julian glared at me and kneed Ginny in the stomach, causing her to double over in pain. "And does it look like I care?!" he snapped.

"Julian!" Liliana wailed. He looked back at her for a millisecond, then punched me in the eye and left.

Ginny's POV

"H-He's really dangerous," I managed to get out before slumping back on the ground.

Mione nodded, still holding a hand up to her eye. From what I could see, it was swollen pretty bad.

"Who is he?" I whispered.

"I don't know," Mione muttered back. "Let's just say that Malfoy found a pretty good bodyguard this year."

Harry's POV

After Snape's warning, we - Ron and I - went back to the common room, only to find it filled with angry and complaining people. The only ones who weren't that furious were Hermione, Ginny, and Neville, who sat on the couch together.

We went over to them. Hermione spotted us first.

"Where have you been?!" she screeched. But it was barely audible over all everyone else's voices. "Nevermind that! You just won't believe what happened!!!!"

She and Ginny told their tale about what happened on the train. Ron turned red and angry, and I just stood there, shocked.

"I swear I'm gonna kill him!" Ron yelled, heading to the portrait hole. "Who is he?!"

"NO!!" Hermione screamed. "You wouldn't dare! He's Julian Lestrange!"

Neville trembled. Ron looked murderously angry.

"A Lestrange?! Why would they even let him in?! Has Dumbledore-"

"Stop it, Ron!" Hermione interrupted. "You know what's even worse?! Not only he's Malfoy's new bodyguard, but Liliana was with them-"

Ron stopped dead, and I froze.

"You're kidding, right?" Dean asked, coming up to us. "I know Lily's changed, and all that, but she wouldn't actually-"

"It's true," Hermione confirmed. "But I had a feeling that she was only trying to help. She was telling Lestrange to leave-"

"He's in-incredibly dangerous," Neville stuttered. "I-I-I even saw him hit Malfoy."

"But if he's Malfoy's bodyguard..." Hermione trailed off. Ginny got up and scrambled upstairs to the girls' dorms.

"It's too much for her," Ron declared. So we went up to our dorm as well.

Just before I closed my eyes to fall asleep later, Ron asked, "Even if Liliana's in Slytherin, do you still accept her?"

"She's my only family left," I answered.
