Fearless

Lotor sighed running his hand through his hair walking into his quarters and took off his armored chest plate and set it on the ground as he groaned sitting at his desk to finish work.

Lotor looked behind him and saw lance on the ground with his legs crossed holding a crystal in one hand and a book in the other with four other crystals in front of him.

"Love?" Lotor leaned on his chair as he looked at lance.

"Yea?" Lance responded.

"What are you doing with rocks?" He asked.

"Focusing or something, Druid stuff," lance sighed dropping the crystal and book with a small groan.

"I don't understand it," he looked back at Lotor.

"You'll figure it all out," Lotor walked over to him and helped lance to his feet. "I'm not worried about you,"

"You've been gone for hours, it's basically almost morning," lance whined wrapping his arms around Lotors shoulder and kissed his neck smirking. Even if that's all he could reach.

"I'm going to finish this real quick then we can go to bed, you go and get some rest," Lotor cupped the side of his face and rubbed his markings with his thumb.

"Alright," lance smiled kissing his palm and walked to the bed as Lotor went to his desk pulling up some screens.

He sighed as he heard lance get into the bed to settle down. Lotor looked back at lance in their bed and smiled softly as lance took off his shirt but laid under the covers and back to Lotor. The galra prince sighed softly with a smile seeing lances body relax as his altean markings around his body dimmed meaning he was very relaxed and/or sleeping.

"How was I so lucky?" Lotor whispered. After seeing so much distraction... prince isamu of another reality altea was his silver lining of this. His voice of reason, a reason to wake up and smile. His lance that he fights for through this war.

But he had to get to work again.

Lance woke up with a small gasp with tears in his eyes but covered his mouth siting up quickly. He patted his side but it was cold with no one there.

"L-Lotor?" He whispered confused but looked over seeing his lover writing with his head partially down as he seemed tired.

"Lotor..." he whimpered getting up, he crawled across the bed and slipped off as he walked to Lotor sniffling but wrapped his arms around him as lance rested his head in the back of the crook of Lotors neck.

"Come to bed please," lance mumbled and Lotor woke up more as he sat up and glanced over at lance.

"Are you okay?" Lotor yawned, turning to him. Lance shook his head nuzzling against him.

Lotor smiled as he stroked lances white hair, he picked up the royal altean and gently set him on the bed as he crawled in after him.

Lotor was about to ask him further but lance quickly pressed himself against Lotors warm body as he buried his face in his shoulder with a scrunched up face.

"I keep seeing the ruins of altea," Lance whispered and Lotor paused for a minute but he wrapped his arms around lance and pulled him in tightly.

"Your getting nightmares?" Lotor asked.

"No I see the memories, it's not a nightmare when I've seen it before, experienced it," Lance whispered as he covered his mouth and closed his eyes tightly.

"They're all dead Lotor, and I'm their prince who still stands," He croaked but Lotor kissed his forehead softly and wiped away a tear from his tan cheek.

"No, you stand strong for those who sacrificed, and your not alone, honerva is here still, Aliz is part altean, your tired, I'm here now, let's go to bed," Lotor whispered comforting in his ear.

"Do you think they'd all still be alive, and we'd still be there if I never asked you to dance? Held my hand out on that balcony," Lance sniffled nuzzling closer to him.

"I cannot say, but I don't regret seeing you be the way you are that night either," Lotor smiled combing his hair with his fingers.

"You were elegant, and fearless, and how you usually are, you didn't care what anyone else did, thought, looked at you, even when I thought you where the most beautiful creature any reality gifted me with, to even smile again is because of you isamu," Lotor made lance look at him and the altean bit his lip with wide eyes.

"Not just because of that dance, because of that first time we met, in the forest, and within that day I saw so much of you, I regret nothing,"

Lance looked back down and relaxed against him as he listened to Lotors heart beat.

"I'd be willing to give up everything just to have them all be alive and peaceful, my people, altea, id give up my life for them," Lance breathed.

"That's the difference between you and me, I'm selfish, you are someone worth living for, I wouldn't give up anything," lotor smiled and kissed the top of his head.

Lance frowned as he laid against Lotor but sighed as he wanted to go to sleep again, knowing Lotor probably was fast asleep by now. But all lance could do was listen to his heartbeat. But eventually he fell asleep to that soothing sound.
