"This isn't going to work," Meg huffed as she walked down the hallway, trying to keep up with Stiles' long strides.
Stiles snapped his head toward the girl, "I don't remember inviting you along so that you could question my plan."
Meg scoffed, "And I thought you had all of Stiles' memories," she retorted. "So you should know that Mr. Yukimura doesn't give up information that easily. He's a goddamn history teacher."
Stiles narrowed his eyes as he stopped in the middle of the hallway. "Then we have to use a little force to make sure he does," he said in a venomous tone. "Or did you join me and not expect to get your hand a little dirty?"
Meg took a step closer to him, "I joined you because you promised to help me control my magic! Not torture Kira's dad!" she snapped.
Stiles smiled slightly, "So you finally found out what you are?" he asked her in a menacing voice. "I tell you one thing, Meg. That blonde girl? The one you met in Eichen? She can't help. She doesn't have the means. She's still locked up in that mental institution. But I'm not, and I promise I'll help you. You just need to be patient," he instructed. "You can do that, can't you?"
Meg bit the inside of her mouth, "Yeah," she said shortly. "I can do that."
Stiles turned back toward the front of the hallway. "Good," he said. "Cause we have a job to do."
Meg sighed as the two walked into Mr. Yukimura's classroom. She pursed her lips as she saw a fly emerging out of Stiles' mouth. She made a small gagging noise, looking away for a split second, trying not to puke. "Coming in on a Saturday?" Stiles asked, causing the teacher to glance up at the pair. "That's dedication. Where's she hiding them?" he continued, studying the room's interior.
"I'm sorry. I don't know what you're talking about," Mr. Yukimura said simply.
Stiles narrowed his eyes as he continued to walk throughout the room, Meg following in his wake. "Her little knives," he said, stopping in front of the bookshelf that ran along the back wall of his classroom. "Daggers. I know what they are. Physical representations of her tails. However, the hell that works."
Meg honestly had no idea what was happening, or why Stiles needed these 'tails' but she copied his actions, beginning to pull other books off the shelve, rummaging through them.
Mr. Yukimura cleared his throat. "Maybe you'd like to do some reading on it," he suggested, eyeing the pair carefully. "I can direct you to the section on Japanese Myth in the library."
Stiles smiled as he pushed more books off of the shelve. "No," he stated. "No, I'd like to talk to you," he insisted. "The older the tail, the stronger the Oni. Am I right?" He paused for a second, smiling at the teacher before he continued his explanation. "I know there's only one left. I know it's the strongest."
"Come on, Mr. Yukimura," Meg added. "We're just curious students, that's all. Just tell us where the tail is and no one needs to get hurt."
Mr. Yukimura's eyes floated over to her, "Unfortunately, I don't know what you're referring to," he lied.
Stiles scoffed as the fly from earlier touched down on Mr. Yukimura's face, flying into his mouth before the man could stop it. "You'll talk," he said as Kira's father began to choke. "They always talk."
"I don't-" the man said through shortened breath. "I don't know."
Stiles tilted his head, "You do, and you're gonna tell us, or else I'll have to bring in the witch," he said, pointing a finger back at Meg, who waved, a sadistic smile spreading across her face. "And trust me, she's a lot worse than I am."
Mr. Yukimura's eyes widened as he shook his head. "I don't know where she hides them, I swear. I don't know anything."
Stiles scowled as the fly flew out of Mr. Yukimura's mouth. "Fine, I'll get the answers myself," he insisted. "Meg, let's go."
Meg nodded, as Stiles turned to leave the room. "Tell Kira I say hi," she said simply following Stiles out of the room. "Also, what the hell is a tail?" Meg asked as the two of them disappeared from Mr. Yukimura's classroom.
"They really didn't tell you anything, did they?" Stiles asked her.
Meg rolled her eyes, "It's Scott, what do you expect?"

Meanwhile, on the other side of Beacon Hills, Allison, Chris, Stilinski, and Derek were trying to figure out the best plan of action to trap the Nogitsune. Allison sighed, looking down at the spread of weapons on her desk. "This is everything non-lethal I could find," she stated, glancing at the three men behind her.
Argent nodded at his daughter, "Take all of it," he instructed.
"What's the plan here?" Stilinski asked.
Allison sighed, "Well, we know that Stiles isn't working alone," she explained.
Derek raised his brow at the girl, "We do?" he questioned.
Allison nodded, "Meg went with him into Eichen. Both of them miraculously escaped and the two haven't been seen for a few days. It's only fair to assume that they're working together now. Which complicates things," she finished, looking over at her father for assistance.
"We have no idea what this girl is capable of," Argent started. "But if she's helping the Nogitsune, we have to assume that he's offered her something that she can't refuse. Some help of some kind. If we find Stiles, then we'll find the girl. We can try to get through to her."
Derek scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest. "Trust me, I know Meg better than a lot of you here, and when her mind is stuck on something, she doesn't stop until she gets it. It's not gonna be as easy as you think it is," he warned them.
"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it," Stilinski said dismissively. "How do we get to Stiles?" he asked Argent.
"Our best shot right now is for Derek to try and pick up Stiles' scent at Eichen House," Argent started. "Especially if he went through something stressful there."
Stilinski raised his brow, a little skeptical of their plans. "Should all four of us be going to the same place?" he asked.
"Where else has Stiles been showing up?" Argent asked.
"School, the hospital," Allison listed.
Derek shook his head, "Okay, hold on. We did this already," he said slowly. "He disappeared. We started looking for him, then walked right into a trap at the hospital. And with Meg with him now, we have to be extremely careful. This whole thing just seems like another big trap," he admitted.
Argent furrowed his brows, thinking for a few seconds. "He's getting us to repeat the same moves," he stated.
"So, what do we do?" Allison asked. "Wait for him to come to us?"
"We can't," Derek insisted. "Not if the Oni find him when the sun goes down."
"Scott's working on that right now, with Kira," Stilinski chimed in.
Argent sighed, "That's the problem. We're all trying to outfox the fox, outcharm the witch, or whatever the girl really is. If we keep on trying to play their game, this plan is never going to work."
Stilinski eyed all of them carefully. "Listen, I'll understand if anyone wants to back out."
"I wouldn't be the first wolf to run from a fox," Derek admitted.
Chris tilted his head, looking down at the weapon in his head. "Apparently, I'm carrying the lightsaber," he stated.
Allison nodded, taking both of those answers as a 'yes'. "Dad, you and Derek hit Eichen House. Sheriff, it's you and me in the hospital. We all meet at the school, got it?" she asked, waiting for a sign of confirmation from the rest of the group. They all nodded slowly. "Great," she turned to Stilinski. "Let's go, we need to do this before sundown."
Derek eyed Argent as the man stole a few extra weapons from the inside of his desk. "Making sure you have a few lethal options just in case?" he asked.
"I like to prepare for the worst," Argent replied with a grunt.
"You're not gonna shoot the kid," Derek said shortly.
"The Nogitsune isn't a kid," Argent insisted. "And I'm only gonna do it if I have to."
Derek sighed, "I'm not talking about Stiles. I'm talking about Meg. She doesn't deserve this. Neither of them does."
Argent exhaled, "As I said, I like to prepare for the worst," he repeated, tucking the gun into his back pocket and walking out of the study.

"Why are we back in your room?" Meg questioned, looking around the upstairs bedroom in the Stilinski house.
Stiles sighed, looking at the chessboard in front of him. "Because they're going to check here, and when they do, I have to leave a present for them."
Meg blinked, looking down at the board in front of him. "Really?" she asked, her voice laced with sarcasm. "Because it looks like you're just playing a chess game with yourself," she stated. "And that's literally what you are doing. You are moving the pieces on each side like you're a loser that has no one to play with. Do you need a friend or something, is that why I'm here?"
"Will you shut up!" Stiles snapped, his nostrils flared. "I'm trying to concentrate."
Meg raised her brow, "Right," she said looking away from him. "Have fun playing with yourself," she said under her breath. She bit her lip carefully, "That came out wrong," she admitted, looking up at the ceiling for a split second.
Stiles looked back at her, "Yeah, it did," he retorted, looking back down at the chessboard.
Meg rolled her eyes, leaning back in her office chair as she looked back up at the ceiling. She began to tap her fingers against Stiles' desk, contemplating why she was even there in the first place. She wished had just opted out of whatever the fuck Stiles was doing and just stayed at Eichen. The only reason she agreed to help him was that he would be able to help her with her abilities, but he only seemed interested in whatever plan he was cooking up. Meg sighed as she felt her fingertips heat up. Her eyes flashed down to her hand, seeing a small stream of smoke pooling out of them. She wasn't sure if she should try and stop it or encourage the flames to grow.
"Try not to burn down the house," Stiles commented.
Meg raised her brow, "Are you really sentimental about your childhood house?" she asked, repressing the urge to scoff. "I thought the Nogitsune feeds off of chaos. A burned-down house would definitely check off that box." Her fingers continued to smoke as she narrowed her eyes.
"We need the house," Stiles stated vaguely, refusing to look back at the witch.
Meg pursed her lips, looking away from her fingers and back toward the chessboard. "Why?" she asked simply, shoving her hands into her pockets.
"Because there's a camera," he said, flicking his head back toward the corner of the room.
Meg frowned, narrowing her eyes as she turned her head to the right. Sure enough, there was a small camera in the middle of the wall. Meg winked toward the camera, knowing that someone would watch it at some point. "Do you think they know?" she asked offhandedly.
"That I'm here, or that you're helping me?" Stiles asked.
Meg shrugged. "Both I guess," she answered quickly.
"They know what I want them to know," Stiles answered swiftly.
Meg groaned, "God, that's a stupid fucking answer," she complained, leaning back in the office chair once more. "Obviously they know what you want them to know. You're like a trickster spirit, or whatever the fuck that means. You play tricks on people, that's like what you do."
Stiles sighed, glaring back at her. "They know because Scott told them," he said in a harsh voice, finally giving the girl an honest answer. "If I didn't want them to know you were here, they wouldn't, because I have planned this whole thing out. Every move they make happens because I let them make it. Every step they take is just pulling them towards the bigger goal," he continued as he moved a few pieces onto the board. "You should know this by now, Meg, it's the whole reason you're here."
Meg raised her brow, "And why am I here? Why did you ask me to help you?" she pressed. "You could've asked any one of the pack members, but you asked me. Why?"
"You'll know soon enough," Stiles said.
Meg bit the inside of her cheek, "Again, that's not really an answer, but whatever. What the hell are you doing with that chessboard?" she asked, leaning over the desk to take a look at the pieces he was moving. Meg opened her mouth, "Hang on, are those labeled?" she asked.
Stiles nodded slowly.
"I hate to ask, but why do you have a chessboard with all of our names on it?" Meg asked carefully, scanning the labels with all of their names.
Stiles sighed, "When I was explaining the supernatural to my dear old dad, I thought that this was the most effective way to tell him. We turned it into some sort of game, a huge metaphor for what it actually meant. It took forever and he didn't end up believing Cora or I."
Meg winced at the sound of her ex-girlfriend's name but let Stiles continue his explanation. "But now, I'm trying to tell them where I want them to be," he said slowly.
Meg frowned, "By placing pieces on a chessboard?" she asked carefully. "That sounds a little crazy."
Stiles looked back at her, "I have to lay a few stepping stones before I guide them where they should go," he said carefully. "Guide them right into the trap."
"Which is what, exactly?" Meg questioned.
"I'll tell you when we get there," Stiles said, bringing himself back up into a standing position.
"Are you ever gonna fill me in on your plans, like ever?" Meg asked with a small sigh.
Stiles clicked his tongue, "Soon," he answered vaguely. "But right now we have somewhere we need to be." He pointed down at the board, right at the piece labeled 'Derek Hale.'
The Loft.
so will you still want me,
when I'm nothing new ✾
Grace talks ig: This is so fucking short, I'm sorry. There were like maybe five minutes of screen time for void stiles, so I really didn't have much to work with here. So basically, I did the best I could and I'm sorry this is kind of shitty and nothing really happens. But like, in other words, I'm actually really excited to write the rest of season 3 (once I finalize the storyline and polish up a few things) AND I can't wait to write season 4 as well because idk why but I'm having a blast writing that season in my other teen wolf book and I know it's gonna be the same for the one. Um anyways, I really don't have anything else to add besides vote/comment and do all those fun things. I promise the next chapter will be longer. BYEEEE <3
