Meg was fairly uncomfortable sitting in a room with Scott's dad, the sheriff, and her fellow classmates. To be fair, when the FBI agent burst into the power station, Meg had no idea that he was related to Scott McCall. If she did, she probably would've been a little nicer to him.
Scott leaned over to Meg, who was sitting in the armchair nearest to the door. "Did you actually tell my dad to get the fuck out of the power station?" he asked her.
Meg grimaced, "To be fair, that all happened before I knew he was an FBI agent. And your dad," she admitted.
"Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it if you piss him off," Scott told her. "He's kinda shitty."
Meg nodded, "I'll keep that in mind," she said quietly as soon as Agent McCall strolled into the sheriff's office.
Agent McCall saw down across from the five of them, hoping that his 'imitating' stares would get one of them to talk: It didn't. "So, when did you get there?" he asked them.
Stiles shrugged, "At the same time," he said in a matter-of-fact tone.
Agent McCall didn't seem pleased by that answer. "At the same time as who?"
"At the same time as me," Scott said quickly.
Meg opened her mouth to say something but Agent McCall cut her off. "Let me guess, you also arrived at the same time as them."
"Bingo," Meg said, pointing a small finger gun towards him. Agent McCall didn't seem to appreciate the gesture.
"Now was this by coincidence?" Agent McCall continued.
"What do you mean by coincidence?" Stiles retorted.
"That's what I'm asking you," Agent McCall said. Meg could tell he was already sick of Stiles' bullshit. "The three of you arrived at the same time?"
Scott blinked, "Are you asking me?"
"No, he's asking me," Stiles said nodding quickly.
"Don't be ridiculous, it's obviously me," Meg said, deciding to play along with their little game.
"Well, I think he's asking all three of you," Lydia said from the corner of the room.
"Let me answer the questions," Agent McCall said, cutting off any conversation the teens were trying to have. He soon realized his mistake when Meg started to giggle, holding a hand over her mouth to try to make as little noise as possible. "Let me ask the questions," Agent McCall corrected, glaring at the girl as she continued to laugh at him. "Just so I have this absolutely clear. Barrow was hiding in the chemistry closet at the school. Someone left him a coded message on the blackboard telling him to kill Kira. Then Barrow took Kira to a power station and tied her up with the intent to electrocute her, which blacked out the entire town."
Meg knew how stupid it sounded, but it's not like they were gonna tell Agent McCall the truth about everything that goes on in Beacon Hills. "Sounds about right," Stiles said with a small nod.
"How did you know he'd take her to a power station?" Agent McCall asked, mostly addressing Stiles.
"Well, 'cause he was an electrical engineer, so where else would he take her," Stiles reasoned.
Agent McCall raised his eyebrows, "That's a hell of a deduction there, Stiles," he said casually.
"Yeah, what can I say, I take after my pops," he said, grinning at his father, who was sitting behind Agent McCall.
The Sheriff gave a small laugh, earning him a glare of disapproval from the federal agent. Stilinski coughed, trying to cover up his laugh. "Stiles, just, uh- just answer the man's questions."
"We made a good guess," Stiles said simply.
Agent McCall turned to Kira and Scott, "What were the two of you doing?"
"Eating pizza."
"Eating sushi."
Meg looked over at the two of over, she wasn't aware that they had hung out. She wasn't sure why it bothered her so much either.
"Eating Sushi."
"Eating pizza."
"Eating sushi and pizza," Scott and Kira said simultaneously.
Agent McCall still looked skeptical. "You believe this?" he asked, shooting Stilinski a side glance.
"To be honest, I haven't believed a word Stiles has said since he learned to speak," Stilinski said flat out. "But I think these kids found themselves in the right place at the right time and that girl sitting right there is very lucky for it."
"Kira," Agent McCall haired, causing the dark-haired girl to look up at him. "Is that how you remember it?"
Kira felt four pairs of eyes staring at her. Her answer could make or break their story. "Yes," she said slowly. "Can I have my phone back now?"
"Sorry but now," Agent McCall said slowly, ushering the five of them out of the sheriff's office. "Kira, a deputy is going to take you home. But you need to fill out some paperwork first. And you," he said pointing at Meg. "I need to have a word with you."
"Me?" Meg asked.
"Yes, you. Have a seat out here. I'll need to speak to the sheriff first," Agent McCall said quickly. "Kira, you should wait here for the deputy to come with your paperwork."
Kira nodded as she took a seat next to Meg. Meg avoided her gaze, she knew that Kira would have questions about what she saw Meg do at the power station. But Meg didn't have any good answers for her. Kira bit her lip, "Look I don't know what I saw at the power station," she started slowly. "Maybe I was just hallucinating but, you should know I wasn't scared, of it. Or you, I guess."
"You might not have been scared, but I am," Meg admitted slowly. "I don't know what's going on with me, and I can't tell anyone about it."
"You- you can tell me if you want," Kira offered. "I'm a good listener."
Meg almost smiled, she wanted to thank the girl but she was interrupted by the sound of Agent McCall's voice. "Meg, come into my office."
Meg pursed her lips. "I don't think that's exactly your office, but okay," she whispered under her breath.
"Huh?" Agent McCall sounded.
"Nothing," Meg hummed as she stepped back into the sheriff's office. "Why did you end up calling me in here?"
"Because I can tell that the five of you aren't telling me the entire story," Agent McCall said bluntly. "I know I won't be able to get passed Stiles, and I can't picture Scott wanting to confide in me after what happened. But you, you're the wildcard here."
Meg clicked her tongue, "Right, the wild card," she said with a tight-lipped smile. "Well, sorry to disappoint. But we were telling you the truth. There's nothing more to the story. Does that satisfy your need for an answer?"
"No," Agent McCall said shortly.
"Hmmm, well it's the best you're gonna get," Meg said stubbornly. "Sorry, I wish I could give you more," she added insincerely.
"I'm sure you do," Agent McCall remarked.
Meg nodded awkwardly, "Am I free to go now?" she asked. "I wouldn't want to waste any more of your precious time."
Agent McCall sighed, "Yes. You are free to go," he answered reluctantly.
"Great," Meg said, getting up from the chair that she had sat in.
By the time Meg had her unpleasant conversation with Agent McCall, Kira had gone. Meg frowned, all she wanted to do was finish their conversation from earlier. Guess that wasn't happening.

"Hey! You look like hell," Jason said as he approached his friend the next day. "Look, I know it was like a thing in elementary school where you come to school in your costume. But, I feel like we've outgrown that phase."
Meg looked down at her outfit, "What the hell are you on about?" she asked him, looking down at her outfit. She was wearing a small black dress with a red choker around her neck.
"What I'm saying is that you kind of look like a witch right now," Jason explained as they began to work through the hallway. "All you need is a pointy hat and you're basically golden."
Meg blinked, "What the fuck-" she sounded. "Earlier you said I look like hell."
"Oh," Jason said, releasing his mistake. "I meant to say you look tired. Just the bags around your eyes, did you get a lot of sleep?"
Meg sighed, "No, it was a long night," she said simply. "Got questioned by the FBI, broke into a power station to save someone from a serial killer. You know, a typical night in Beacon Hills."
"Werewolf problems?" Jason whispered.
Meg shook her head, "No, no. Barrow problems."
"The guy who was spotted near the high school yesterday?" Jason asked quickly.
"That's the one," Meg answered. "But it's okay. Everything got cleared up. Thanks to me, obviously," she said, trying to maintain her usual cockiness.
"Scott fixed the problem, didn't he?" Jason asked, but he already knew the answer.
Meg frowned, "Do I even need to answer that?" she retorted.
"No, the look on your face says it all," Jason said with a small laugh. "But how would you also like to have no sleep tonight?"
Meg blinked, "That sounds oddly creepy. What the fuck are you planning?" she asked him.
"Well, I'm not planning anything," Jason said, walking a little faster so that he was now in front of her. He turned back to face Meg. "But word got around that there is going to be a crazy party at your ex's old house."
"Okay, you could've said Derek's loft, it rolls a lot easier off the tongue than 'your exes old house,'" Meg said with a slight scoff. "Plus, Derek's not even back in Beacon Hills. He's off god knows where doing god knows what."
"Exactly, which is why it makes the loft the perfection location for a party," Jason said quickly. "Come on, you deserve a little bit of fun after what happened with Co-"
Meg stuck her finger up, "Don't say her name," she warned him. "And yes, I'll go to the party. Not because you asked, because I have nothing better to do on Halloween," Meg said simply.
¸.•.¸¸୨˚̣̣̣͙୧¨*✼*¨୨˚̣̣̣͙୧¸¸.•.¸
Meg stared at the entrance to Derek's loft, regretting her decision to come to this party in the first place. It's not like she hated parties, it was actually the opposite. She loved them. Meg wasn't like a crazy party animal, but she did go to them occasionally.
Meg was greeted with the scent of alcohol and sweat as soon as she slid the doors open. She looked over the crowd of teenagers, most of whom were covered in neon paint. "Oh god," she mumbled. 'Maybe I'm not a party person.' she thought to herself.
"Meg! What the hell are you doing here!" Isaac said rushing up to her.
"What the hell are you doing here, and why do you have shit on your face," Meg asked, looking at the neon stripes across the side of his face.
"Shit?! No, it's paint," Isaac explained quickly as he pulled her into the crowd. "P-A-I-N-T," he spelled out. "And I'm here, with, Allison."
"Allison?" Meg questioned, raising her brow.
Isaac nodded, "Yes, Allison. Who I should honestly get back to right now," he said, scratching the back of his head.
"Okay, that sounds like you two were in the middle of doing something, and honestly I don't wanna hear about that right now," Meg started. "I love you, but I draw the line about hearing about your sex life."
"That's not what I was-" Isaac said shaking his head vigorously. "Whatever, I was gonna ask you if you've seen Scott."
"No, no. I haven't seen Scott since last night at the Sheriff's station," Meg said slowly.
"Okay, if you see him here at some point, just let him know that I need to take to him," Isaac informed her.
Meg smirked, "Oh yeah, I'm sure he'll want to talk to you while your tongue is down Allison's throat," she said.
"Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up. Shut up," Isaac said walking away from here. "Shut. Up!"
Meg winked at him before letting him go back to Allison. "How does he have two perfectly good people wrapped around his finger? I don't get it," she said with a small sigh. "It's ridiculous," she continued grabbing one of the cups full of alcohol off of the counter and downing it in one swig.
"You see that too?" Lydia said appearing next to Meg.
"How long has it been going on?" Meg asked her.
"The longing stares or the awkward dancing?" Lydia asked gazing at the two teens who had started dancing again.
"All of it, I guess?" Meg questioned rolling her eyes. "I am too sober for this."
Lydia picked up another drink, "You and me both. So, what did Scott's dad want to talk to you about last night?" she asked causally.
Meg let a small laugh escape her lips. "Just some shit about how we weren't telling the truth and he was trying to get it out of me. It was stupid, really."
"You didn't tell him anything, did you?" Lydia said, leaning in to whisper in Meg's ear.
"No, Lydia, I'm not stupid," Meg snapped. "I know my way around an interrogation room. Now that I'm saying that, it seems a lot more suspicious than it really is."
"Well, we all know our way around those by now," Lydia said knowingly.
Meg nodded, "Why am I not surprised?" she asked.
"Because Stiles always drags us into his nonsense," Lydia answered. "Every single time. I mean look at him," she said pointing towards the teenage boy, who was dancing like an idiot.
"Oh, god someone please blind me," Meg gagged.
"He's not the only one enjoying himself," Lydia said, looking over to the other side of the room. Meg followed her gaze and saw Scott and Kira. They looked fairly comfortable, holding hands. It made Meg want to throw up, or scream, or cry. She had no idea why.
Meg swallowed the huge lump that appeared in her throat. "Excuse me, Lydia, I am gonna go get drunk," Meg said, pushing past the strawberry blonde while she grabbed another drink. Meg took the drink that she had and took a huge swig of the drink. She walked to the other side of the room and up the spiral staircase which lead to the second floor of the loft.
She walked up the staircase as fast as she could. She knew exactly where she was going. Unless Derek had visited his loft recently, his secret stash of alcohol should still be there. Well, it wasn't exactly secret, but Meg was a pro at breaking into liquor cabinets. Mostly because werewolves couldn't actually get drunk and she was the only one who would drink it. She was pretty sure Derek knew about it, but he never said anything about it.
Meg slipped into the closet where Derek kept his drinks and snatched the biggest bottle of whiskey that she could find. "Oh, thank god," she breathed, holding the alcohol closer to her chest. "This is exactly what I needed."
Snap. Snap.
Meg turned around, "Who's there," she said instantly, scanning the hallway for any sign of a human standing there. But Meg saw nothing.
"Okay, this isn't fucking funny," Meg sounded as she heard the snapping sound again. "If you're trying to play a trick on me. I'm not in the mood."
Meg's words elicited no response. "Whatever," she said with a small frown. "This is fucking stup-"
Meg stopped as she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. She turned around slowly and let out a loud scream. The bottle of whiskey in her head fell to the ground, leaving a pile of broken glass across the floor. In front of her was a man in a shadowy cloak. He wore was a mask that looked like the face of a dragon. In his hand was a long sword. "What are you gonna do, you gonna sta-sta-stab me," she shuttered. "That's not gonna work-"
The man rushed forward at a speed that was not humanlike. Its hands reached the side of Meg's cheek. She shuddered, trying to look away from it. But it was no use. Its eyes bored into her, flashing a bright green color. Meg was frozen in the spot, she couldn't look away. She felt like the creature was looking into her soul, searching every part of her whether she wanted it to or not.
As soon as the experience started it was over, and Meg fell to the ground. Her eyes closed and the world around her faded away.
so will you still want me,
when I'm nothing new ✾
Grace talks ig: Meg getting attacked by the Oni? We love to see it. Jk, jk, we actually hate it because Meg deserves better. Anyways, I'm trying to show off more of her friendships with other people besides Isaac, which is why we got the conversations with Lydia and Jason. Side note: I literally love her friendship with Lydia as they both act very similar and they are both fruity (I head cannon Lydia as sapphic so she is in most of my teen wolf books) Anyways the Meg and Kira moment?! I was literally giggling when I was writing it. Okay, I should go before this gets too long so I will see you in the next update. BYEEE <3
