It has been a few months since the run in with Zira and Kovu. Lila and Sina are practicing their hunting skills together. They'll soon be old enough to hunt on their own and join the other lionesses when they hunt. Yuki became pregnant and is due to give birth any day now. So Lila and Sina wanted to bring her something to eat in their cave.

"We should be able to catch a zebra foal before they cross the river" Lila states.

"Mum loves zebra" Sina says agreeing to the plan. They head towards the river which is near the borders of the pride lands. Where it connects to an other pack, but not the outsiders. "What's the plan sis?" she asks. Sina is more of the fighting type while Lila is the thinker. But Lila can still hold her own in a fight.

"We watch them first, then try separate a weak link from the herd as they cross. They'll already be a in panic due to the crocodiles. So that should keep them distracted while we strike" Lila explains.

They arrive at the river and start to fan out with Lila picking the target. She spots a young foal near the back of the herd and nods to it. Sina nods her head showing she knew which one they were after. But as they were about to strike the herd was disturbed by a male lion as he took down an older zebra. The other zebra scattered and nearly trampled Lila while Sina charges the lion.

She tackles him and they begin to fight. "You idiot! You nearly got my sister killed!" Sina roars. Lila charges in and pulls Sina away from the lion who stops to look at them.

"I'm fine Sina, calm down" Lila orders.

"Want is going on here?" a strong voice demands. Lila and Sina get in defensive positions growling at the two new arrivals. They were an adult male lion that looks like the younger one and a lioness that has the younger lions eyes.

"You're trespassing on pride land territory" Lila states.

"Carl we've told you before not to cross into an other prides territory" the lioness snaps.

"I'm sorry Mother, but I caught a zebra" Carl replies.

"Which rightfully belongs to these two lionesses" the lion tells him. "We are sorry to intrude, please feel free to take the zebra for your pride" he tells the girls.

"Thank you, please leave now and don't come back" Lila tells them.

"No, he ruined our hunt and nearly got you killed" Sina states glaring at Carl. "You will apologize to my sister or I'll make you" she tells him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know there was anyone else here and am sorry for nearly getting your sister hurt" Carl says sincerely.

"Who are you my dears?" the lioness asks.

"Lila and Sina daughters of Yuki & Leo" Lila says.

"Two princesses and future queens" the lion says smiling.

"She's the future queen not me" Sina states pointing to her sister.

"But surely you've been trained as a queen" the lioness states.

"I have, but the only way I'll become a queen is if Lila dies or I join an other pride. Because I love the king or future king of the pride" Sina states. "So far no one has taken my fancy" she adds.

"Maybe you aren't looking hard enough" Carl states.

"Sina we better go now if we want to get back before sunset" Lila states. As she starts to drag the zebra carcass. The two adults had already left and Carl watches as Sina starts to help her sister. Sina looks at him from the corner of her eye and actually takes a good look at him. He was quite the handsome young lion and will be a strong king. She could tell. Meanwhile he studied her thinking she'd be a beautiful queen.

Just as the sunsets the girls reached pride rock and told some of their pride to take the kill to their cave. "You like him" Lila teases her younger sister.

"I do not, he nearly got you killed" Sina retorts.

"Lila, Sina come your mother has given birth" Leo calls approaching them. They all run to the cave where Yuki was grooming their new arrival. "Meet your new brother Taka" he introduces them.

"He's gorgeous" Lila states greeting her mother purring.

"He has your eyes Papa" Sina states as the cub opens his eyes.

"Simba glad you guys could make it" Yuki states as he entered the cave with Kiara and Nala. "Allow us to introduce our son Taka" she says as they reached them. "Look the girls brought us something to eat as well" she says pointing at the dead zebra.

"You caught that yourselves?" Kiara asks envious.

"Not exactly, we run into the leaders of an other pride with their son by the river. He killed the zebra on our land and his parents said we could keep it" Lila explains. "Sina couldn't take her eyes off the son" she adds in a teasing tone.

"That's not true, sure he was handsome I guess. But he nearly got you killed" Sina states.

"You girls are growing up to fast" Yuki states. "No boys until your grown up" she tells them sternly. "Besides you need to help look after your new brother" she adds.

"We know Mama don't worry" Lila states. They all then eat the zebra and then Leo took the left overs away from pride rock. By the time he had returned his family were all asleep in a circle around Taka. Simba had returned to the den with Kiara and Nala. Leo curled up in front of his family to help protect them from the cold.
