EVEREST WAS A SWEATING MESS, BEXLEY COULD SEE THE SWEAT DRIPPING DOWN FROM HIS BROW MAKE ITS WAY DOWN HIS FACE AND SURPRISINGLY MISSED HIS EYE. She told him a million times that day to take off his jacket but he refused. She couldn't imagine what the boy was so nervous to meet Jake and Tom, then again she wasn't a teenage boy that was obsessed with superheroes and the actors that portrayed them.

"I don't think wearing a jacket was the best outfit choice for you," Bexley teased him with a little smirk earning a glare from her brother.

"Shut up Bex, I'm fine, and besides it's like ten degrees outside. So, if you ask me this is the perfect outfit for this type of weather." Everest's tone was defensive and he gripped tighter on his jacket.

The girl just brushed off the subject all together after that as the boy continued to prove he was out of his mind. "What are you even going to do when you meet them?"

"I don't know. This is kinda sprung on me so whatever comes to mind I guess."

Bexley could hear the shakiness in his voice telling her that giving him a heads up about his birthday present would have probably been a good idea. She could be sympathetic towards him but here was the fun in being a tease. "Yeah meeting your idols is a totally sucky present."

Everest scrunched up his face at his sister, "I never said-"

She cut him off but making her voice deeper to kick him, "Oh, uh, gee thanks for the present guys but unfortunately, I will probably embarrass myself in front of THE Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Holland, so I can't except these."

Everest was what some would be called baffled, "Okay one: I don't sound like that and two: I would never say that."

"You would think it through," Bexley shrugged.

Everest let out a huff. He couldn't come back with a snarky comment and he one that he against his sister was now.

Bexley's phone started buzzing in her hand and she uncrossed her arms checking the screen sing her phone blow up with notifications from Instagram. Her face scrunched up at the sight of her best friend in-between Donnie Darko and Spiderman. Her face went pale when she saw the caption knowing that it was definitely going to give her more attention than she would have liked to have.

Everest saw the change of demeanor in his sister looking over her shoulder to see what had her so un-bex like. The boy formed an oh with his mouth. He let out a nervous chuckle, "I bet it took them a while to take a pic. Keke is really short."

But Bexley didn't say anything she just kept staring at the screen. Why was Keke even here and didn't have the nerve to tell her? She wasn't going to ask Everest for answers because he seemed just as clueless as her. Unfortunately for them, they were almost to the booth and it was about to be Everest turn.

Bexley was about to respond to her friend's post when the man at the entrance of the booth asked both the siblings to put their phones into the bins. At the entrance and they obliged even though Bexley was hesitant.

Bexley noticed Everest displaying more nerves than he has all day, and she thought before was a lot. The lady motioned for the two walks forward into the booth Everest's eyes grew big.

Bexley rolled her eyes pushing him forward through the entrance. Both Tom and Jake turned to see the two of the three Kodi siblings. To turn back to Jake who was giving him a smirk.

There was a silence between all four but each would say it felt a different way. Bexley was the only one of the three that didn't want to be there and would rather be eating leftover cake from last night. Tom, ironically, was the opposite and was more than happy to see the girl and the teenage boy in front of him. Everest was still a nervous mess looking back and forth between Tom and Jake pitching himself making sure everything was real. Jake was the most amused looking between Tom and Bexley reminding him a lot of when he met his fiancé in college.

Jake was the first to speak, "Hey Bexley, Keke told us you'd become."

The girl nodded pressing her lips together, "Yeah well she didn't tell me that she would be seeing you so that's fun..." She looked over at Tom who was giving her a tight-lipped smile. She couldn't tell if he was reassuring of awkwardness.

Thaw man who was running the camera sighed, "Are both of you taking the photo?"

Everest opened his mouth but nothing came out. Bexley smiled at the man, "Not just him. He's seventeen so I just had to be here with him, dads am I right."

"I wouldn't know," Jake said trying to clear the air. You could practically feel the mixed emotion in the room. They all turned at him confused, "I mean, I wouldn't know because I'm not a dad."

This made Everest ease up a bit making him laugh at Jake followed by Tom and Bexley even smiled. She watched as the three smiled at the camera and make mumble something making Everest laugh even harder.

The flash went off and the three started to burst out into laughter right after the picture was taken causing Bexley and the cameraman to exchanged confused glances.

After a sold two minutes the lady at the front politely told tom and jake that they need to wrap it up so the teenagers that were behind Bexley and Everest could have their minute of hyperventilating when meeting the two actors.

Bexley was about to make it to the for when Jake stopped her, "Are you two doing anything the rest of the day?"

"Yea-"

"Nope we are doing nothing unless you count walking around aimlessly something," Everest managed to cut Bexley off. "Right Bex?"

The girl rolled her eyes at her younger brother, "Right." She gave a tight lip smile while also giving the side-eye to the boy. The other two didn't seem to notice.

"Great you can hang with Tom and I between shoots. I know Harry needs some company," Jake said clapping his hands together.

Before Bex could protest Everest grabbed her arm making her feel the anticipation radiating off of him. She stumbles following him as a lady to the two of them behind the curtain. She saw the spunky auburn hair of Harry Holland peeking through his beanie. He was reading some comic he probably picked up at one of the booths scattered across the building for the event.

"Hello Harold," Bexley sighed causing Harry to turn with his face looking as though he was solving a calculus problem.

"Kodi, what the hell are you doing here," he asked as he stood up from his spot looking between the girl and her brother.

She shrugged, "What does it look like? I thought it would be a good idea to introduce Everest to my future brother in law."

Everest opened his mouth in awe, "Are you ser-"

Bexley cut him off rolling her eyes as the naive nature of her brother, "No, that was a joke. Jake asked if we wanted to hang with you guys during the con and since it's my loving brother's birthday I couldn't help but agree."

"I can't tell if that's sarcasm or regret because I would expect any less of you," Harry said smirking.

"Oh it's both," Everest confirmed nodding his head. Both of them turned giving him a stay-out-of-this look. "Okay forget I said anything."

The three hung around the lounging area for about thirty minutes before tom and Jake went on this break. The two had about an hour before they had to do a signing together and Jake suggested they headed to the common area because he has and I quote "A plate of oatmeal raisin cookies calling his name."

The group head that way with Everest and Jake in the front of them Harry not far behind and Bexley and Tom in the back. The two were the quietest our of all of them with Tom saying something occasionally to add to the conversation Everest and Jake were having.

"Ciara never told me you guys were gonna be in town," Tom said clearing the air between the two even if it wasn't necessary.

Bexley sighed, "Well, my grandma lives here. It's also Everest and my birthday this weekend. It's kind of a tradition to spend it at Gma Kodi's."

"And I'm guess meeting us was his present," Tom chuckled.

Bexley looked over at her brother as his eyes lit up listening to Jake talk. Even though it wasn't uncommon to see Everest smile it was rare to see him with the spark he always had in his eyes since their mom died. "Yeah, you can say that." There was a ping of sadness in her voice and Tom couldn't help but notice it. They were almost to the common was and Bexley needed a minute alone. Everything seemed to happen so fast in the past hour. "I, uh, think I'm gonna go to the restroom."

"Are you okay?" Concern laced his voice.

"Yeah, make sure Jake saves me some cookies."

Bexley turned the other direction walking away from Tom. He watched her clenching his fist wondering if he could chase after her. Before that are making a decision he was interrupted by a familiar blonde. "Hey Tom." He looked over to see one of Bexley's friends Keirnan. He recognized her from Mad Men a series he watched with one of his friend Harrison not too long ago, but she obviously was older than when she played her characters. "I thought I'd be seeing you."

"Keirnan right," Tom knew her name. He just asked so her introducing herself wouldn't be awkward.

"Yep," she looked past his shoulder, "Oh my God, is that Everest."

"Yeah, Jake asked him and Bexley to hang with us."

Keirnan smirked at the mention of her friend. She knew what she did was pretty clever and couldn't help but boost, "Yeah, that's why sent Keke to see you two."

Toms face was in shock, "If you knew that then why did you ask why Everest was with us?"

"Couldn't blow my cover if Bexley was around now could I Holland?"

"I go by many nicknames but when brother is around he is Holland."

"Whatever, look I am actually glad I saw you because Keke told me she was so star struck she forgot to mention why she really saw you."

"You mean that Bexley and her brother would be showing up because she wouldn't shut up about that," Tom said while letting out a nervous laugh.

"Well she did say that and we are through a little surprise party for Bex. I think it'll be a good idea for you to come."

Tom stood in shock for a good moment. Why would someone who barley knows him want him to come to a surprise party. Tom the reconciled how dumb he sounded because of who he is. Then a strange feeling in the pit of his stomach arose because this was Bexley they were talking about.

"I mean, you don't have to go," Keirnan explained to him. "I'm sure you want to get back to Cleveland, but between you an me I know Bex would want you to come."

Before Tom could answer, he was cut off at the sound of Everest trying to talk with his most stuffed with some baked good, "Hey Kie, how ya been. Able to gain a few inches."

"Hey yeti, still in pampers, " Keirnan smirked.

The gulped his food and laughed, "Just upgraded to pull ups. Glad you were concerned. What are you and Pe- I mean Tom. Yeah, T-Tom talking about."

"Bexley's party," the blonde girl bluntly stated leaving Everest confused.

His eyes widened, "You mean the, " the boy looks around before whispering, "the surprise party."

"Yes that," she turns to Tom, " so you in."

Tom blinks, "Ugh."

"In for what," they all three hear a voice behind them turning finding a confused Bex with an unreadable expression.

"To take a selfie with me to make people go crazy," Kiernan says smoothly. Both boys exchange panicked looks. "So time you want to take a 'selfie.'"

Tom realized his answer was for the question before Bex came in, "Yeah."

Everest leans in to Kiernan, "Why would they go crazy?"

The girl rolls her eyes, "Ask Heidi."

Tom and Kiernan snap and quick selfie before Harry and Jake tell Tom they need to get going. Bexley looks at her watch and cusses, "I have to meet Heidi because dad has a call. Shit, Everest we need to go."

"He can stay here if he wants you can meets us later," Tom says out of nowhere leaving everyone confused.

"You sure, wouldn't that be weird."

Tom looks at Harry with a pleading look. This only made the curly redhead smirk, "It wouldn't. I'm sure Everest wouldn't mind. I've been dying to know what camera he uses."

Everest's grin grew, "Bexley, it won't be weird, and besides you won't be missing me. This can be an extended birthday gift."

She let out a huff, "Fine, but you better watch your back Holland if anything happens to him it's on my conscious."

"Okay, Tony Stark," Harry smirked again earning a glare from Bex.

Harry and Everest turned but tom watched her walk away. The pit of his stomach started to feel heavy watching her leave. Like something went missing. He watched her waves bounce as she walked hoping she could since him staring. He felt a hand on his shoulder making him jump. It was Jake, "You okay Tommy looks like you just left your wife for the war."

Tom sighed.

"Don't worry I won't tell," Jake winked at him as he followed the two boys that were making there way to the photo booth section.

Tom soon followed with on last look. He was anticipating seeing the blues eyed girl again.
