I shivered and I pull the blankets closer to me I tried to keep myself warm. I just felt to cold I couldn't go back to sleep.

I open my eyes as I felt her licking my arm and I smiled at her." I'm...okay okay?" I told her. As I whimpered when I felt pain on my body.

The door opens."Karina how are-"

" something is wrong call Mr.Brett" I told my maid.

And she immediately left the room and I hear my mom voice as my maid told her that she needs to call the doctor.

Loud footstep and then the door burst open my mom came toward me and she check my temperature."you're burning up sweetie it okay he will be here soon."

"Okay he will be here as fast as he can."

Said the maid as she enter the room with three blankets in her hands. My mom help her and they put a blanket on me. When they put on the last one it did helped but just a little bit.

" My sweetie I'm sorry I wish it happen to me instead." She said as she made her to me.

I close my eyes until he came." Okay Mrs.Winter I suggested you go outside for this." My mother shook her head." No...no I stay."

He look at her and nod. The nurse open the doctor bag and takes a scalpel out."what are you doing?"

I asked him." The fever is caused by the bullet as you all my know they carry poison."

I frown at his words." But you already took out my bullet?" He shook his head." I only took one out I left the other one because I didn't want to risk it but now you have poison."

I nod my head." Me and my nurse will perform a small surgery again to take it out." I nod my head.

He pulls out a needle."this will make you sleepy you will not feel a thing." He told me as he inject the needle in me. I rest my head on the pillow and I let the darkness grab me again.

5 hours later

I groaned as I open my eyes." Karina the surgery went well." My nurse said and I nod my head."now I have not just one stitches but two."

" The scar won't be that big and by the next few years it would be gone." She told me.

I nod my head." Me and doctor Brett will be staying in the guest rooms for 3 to four days just in case something else happens if you need us you know how to call us."

She told me and walked away I sighed I am hungry . I closed my eyes and I went back to sleep.

" Karina.....Karina." I open my eyes to see linda with a tray of food and a cup of water.

"The doctor said soup for 10 days would be good for you. And I also have the pill you need as well." She told me.

She comes towards me and slowly helps me sit up. I clench my teeth as the pain came back again." Are you okay?"

I nod my head and I took a deep breath in and out. She sat down and she stay next to me as she feeds me my soup.

And when I was done I took the pill and she left the room. I grab the controller that was on my bed and I put on the tv.

" Three women from the press were fired because of the misleading article that they had written online for the public to see. We have found out that Karina was being chased by her attacker."

"We think it may have to do with her mom being a mayor,but as of right now everything is kept a secret. And now for the weather." He said and I changed the channel.

And after 5 minutes I felt bored so I went on my phone to see tons of missed calls and also 230 text message from Instagram and also iMessage. I decided to post a picture online to let everyone know I'm fine.

I look at the bathroom and back at my bed and back at the bathroom." I know I shouldn't but.... I have to pee."

I take the blankets off and I shift my body."fuck." I said as I felt everything.

" hey sis..." I look at my brother as he frown at me as he saw that I was making myself move my body."you can't karina you just had another surgery."

He said as he made his way to me." I know Owen but I have to pee now."

He nod his head. As he help me stand up."just carry me." I told him as he slowly picked me up he put me down next to the toilet and left while closing the door.

After I was done he came towards me." Wait...." I told him and he look at my stomach." What? It hurts should I g-" I shook my head.

"Help me walk please...." I said to him I can see his eyes saying no but he nod his head as I lean on to him with support. He helps me but I wasn't walking normally I was walking very slow. Each step I took hurt.

When we were out of the bathroom I turn my head to the window and I frown as I seen a man who I haven't seen before next to a tree. He is handsome but I would have recognized him immediately and he isn't a man who I know.

"Owen who is that?" I said to my brother and he look out the window"Who?"

He asked me and I turn my head to the window again and he wasn't there. I shrug my shoulders and I didn't say anything else.

When we reach the bed he picked me up and put me down slowly.

He also climbs on the bed and he lay down with me and we talk about work. And also about his new girlfriend he has which made me smile he is finally dating someone after all these years.

" Ugh I have to go." He said as he looked at his phone to see my dad calling him." I wish you take his business not me."

He said as he got up." Dad has been teaching me how he manages his business." He said as he walked out the room not even letting me say anything else to him.

I looked at my phone and all day I just watched videos and played on my phone.
