The ringing won't stop, the noises won't leave my body won't move. I can't block the noise. Then it stops and I can hear my mom voice,dad and my brother.

They are crying they are asking me to come back to stay that it not my time. I wish I can open my eyes but I can't I just feel more tired.

Beep....beep....beep....be...e..pppppp

That noise again what happening.

"Mr.brett do something.....she can't leave...." I hear my mom voice one last time before I left again.

Flashback 9 year old Karina

"Daddy come and catch me." I giggled at him as he was growling trying to make himself sound like a lion. I ran to my mom for she can protect me.

Flashback 20 year old Karina

I get out of my car to see my big brother sitting down on a bench. I walked up to him to see he was beaten up. He had a busted lip his knuckles were bruised.

I look at him as tears came down from his eyes."she chose him." Those three words shattered him completely and he lean on me as he cried.

I open my eyes slowly and I look at the ceiling of my room. I turn my head to the left to see the IV drip,and I turn to my right to see my brother and my mother.

Whispering to each other.

" Tell your father to catch them."

I clear my throat." Mom?" I said and she immediately looked at me. She walked toward me and sat down.

She had tears in her eyes. " how are you? Owen get the doctor."

She said as she still looked at me. I hear my door closed." Don't you worry your father will fix this."

She told me." And how are you? Sorry I just said something else."

"I have a small headache." And she nod her head.

The door opens and I looked at the doctor as he came." Karina how are you feeling?"

"She has a headache."

He nod his head." I will bring in the nurse to give you a pill for your headache,but before that I need to tell you something."

" I was able to get one of the bullet out from your body. You have stitches and you will not be able to work until 3-4 weeks have passed by."

I roll my eyes." You need to be on bed rest for 3 days. And by the 2nd week you are allowed to walk around but don't push yourself."

He said in a stern voice." What about the stitches when can they be removed?" He chuckles." It far to early to tell have patience karina."

He said." Now linda has the medications that you need to take every day and night. Until you have been cleared from the pills you are not allowed to stop taking them."

He said with a knowing look. This wasn't the only time that something like this happened but it wasn't that serious like this one. The man who attacked me actually pulled a gun at me.

But back then when I was 17 I was pushed down a 15th flight of stairs. And I didn't take the pills like I was supposed to.

"Okay thank you." I told him.

He stood up and smiled at my mom."well I will be on my way." He told her and she nod. He open the door and let the nurse walked in with a cup in one hand and the pill in the other hand.

" you don't have to worry about your job Owen will take care of it." I nod my head as I look at Owen to see tears coming down his face.

If people or the press see the 29 year old businessman crying they will not believe it." I'm okay Owen." I said as he sat down next to me.

My mom turn on the news and I watch it." Yesterday Karina Winter daughter of mayor Lisa Winter was in a horrible car accident she was shot twice in the stomach."

Said the man. "Oh shit." I look at my brother to see him staring down at his phone. "What?" I asked and he gave me his phone and I read what it said.

I roll my eyes." I'm going to call my attorney before I end of losing it."

" No Karina I will handle it okay right now you just need to rest and relax." She said as she grab her phone and walked out of my room.

My brother stand up and switched the tv channel." Karina." I heard my dad said as he open the door. He look at my brother and back at me.

"I'm glad to see you awake my little daughter." He said as he rest his hand on mine." My men are catching the other people that were in this plan as well so don't you worry."

"Was it meant for mom? Like a warning?" He  nod his head."sadly yes sweetie but trust me those men will be catch."

He told me and I nod my head." I fired those poor of excuse bodyguards and I have some of my man protecting you from now."

I nod my head." You should rest you look tired." He told me as he stood up."Owen let your sister rest."

He said and my brother turns the tv off and they walked out. But my brother reopens the door." Mrs.coco is here."

And he closed the door and I see my Persian cat making her way to me. She meows at me and I smiled.

My favorite animal are cats I remember the first two cats I had I was 9 years old when they sadly passed away. And It was on my 20th birthday that my dad bought me two cats a boy and girl.

But we didn't know at that time she had kittens and when she was in labor she had 5 beautiful healthy kittens. They are all grown up now and are somewhere in the house.

"Mrs. Coco goodnight." I said as she snuggles closer to my body. And I do the same and I went to sleep.
