A Marker Drawn To Show Our End

A/N: Alright, I told everyone I would show you more of my covers and upcoming works if you wanted, and y'all said yes so here we go. One story I am excited to start writing is called Death's Raven. It's a story where Jimin is the Grim Reaper, and he offers a woman a spot as his raven, aka, his second-in-command. She joins him and it's a hectic journey. I can't say too much since it's early in development, but Jimin as Death is surprisingly innocent, gentle, and warm, and the woman teaches him about human emotion and what being alive means. There's lots of angst and comfort, and Jimin as Death is a very complex character who struggles to cope with his own existence.

I don't know if the woman is going to be a Y/n or not. I get tired of writing Y/ns nowadays since I write them so much. It'd be nice to take a break from them, but would you guys still read it even if Y/n wasn't a character? I don't read on Wattpad very often so I don't know what readers really like when it comes to Y/ns. Do you prefer stories with or without Y/ns?

With that being said, here is the cover:

I hope you like it. I have no idea when it's coming out since The Cop From Busan, Obsidian, and Plastic World are first. I'd also like to finish Spiderkook, this, and 51 before I even think about publishing more. I'd also also like to publish Repeat, a Yoongi ff, before that. And I'm working on my first Hoseok fic on Wattpad (I have one on Quotev but not on Wattpad). As you can tell, it's gonna be a busy summer! I go on vacation soon, hopefully I'll get lots of book writing done!

Writing is my dream and I adore it. The more I grow on Wattpad, the more inspired I become to write fanfics and original stories. Thank you guys for your endless support. Can you believe that Like Crazy has over 1k votes and only 5k reads??? You guys are insane wth. I normally aim for 1k by 15k reads. And I almost have 400 followers??? Atp I'm gonna quit my full-time and become a Wattpad writer 🤣🤣🤣 Kidding, but a girl can dream, right?

Y/n tightened her grip on the pistol.

It was cool and smooth, and she hated holding it. She'd much rather toss it into the ocean and leave New Theon for good. She wanted nothing to do with the mainland anymore. It hurt her eyes just to see the dirt on the ground and the water sloshing in the distance. The arsenal was right by the waves, and there were tiny ships meant for evacuation if the time ever came. The rebellion would burn them if they could get far enough. The problem was, this place was a maze. And they had to try and find Jimin in it.

"The last time we did a stealth mission, I got my hand cut off. Are you sure we shouldn't just join the others?" Y/n asked in a mutter.

"My guess is Commander Park is the Emperor's personal bodyguard. Did you see the way he protected the Emperor last time? As soon as they see the rebellion attacking, they're going to get the Emperor to safety. And who do you think will be assigned with protecting the Emperor?"

Y/n slumped her shoulders. "Jimin."

It was Commander Park now. Everyone in the rebellion called him Commander Park out of respect for the real Park Jimin. Whoever was on the other side of the war wasn't Jimin and never would be, but Y/n couldn't bring herself to say anything other than his name. He had once asked her to call him it. She refused to break his trust and start calling him by the name he had finally shed.

They made it to the back of the gigantic building and saw there were no guards. They were inside fighting the rebellion, but what about Jimin and the Emperor? Surely they wouldn't put the Emperor in harm's way when there was an ambush.

"Shit," Jungkook cursed with a huff. "They must've gotten him out already. But where? There's nowhere left to run other than the navy, but I doubt they'd keep him there when we already overpowered their flagship. Where will they go?"

"Right here," a male voice said from behind them.

They whipped around and saw Jimin and the Emperor there. The Emperor was the one who spoke. Jimin had his familiar emotionless eyes. Battle armor covered him, and she hated how it fit him. It was as if she was staring at the man she had once hated. The one at the address that had changed everything. She was staring at the commander who had decapitated a man right in front of her and Jungkook without remorse. There were no words she could use to express the eclipse her heart had just been put through. It was an endless chasm with depths that would never be explored. An abyss with no light. A sea with no exit.

"Let us pass. You aren't going to beat us," Emperor Donovan said.

"I'm not letting you take Jimin," Jungkook said as he stepped in front of Y/n. He took out his sword.

Emperor Donovan snorted. "Between the two of you, you have less fingers than Commander Park, and I cut one of his fingers off."

"You're a fucking monster!" Y/n shouted, pushing Jungkook aside and drawing her weapon. She ran toward them, but Jimin interfered. He knocked her pistol away and protected the Emperor, holding her back despite her grunts and cries. She pulled out her sword she didn't want to use, and they clashed.

"Y/n!" Jungkook called.

"Fuck you! You destroyed him!" Y/n cried, trying her hardest to lower the sword to pierce the Emperor's skull.

The man seemed unaffected by the words. "The rebellion, such an emotional species. I'll never understand. We're done here. Commander, kill them."

Commander Park pushed Y/n back and attacked. However, much to her amazement, the Emperor had no plans of letting him do all the work. The Emperor took out a smaller sword and went for Jungkook, which meant Y/n had to fight Jimin.

"Jimin please!" Y/n said, but he didn't listen. He struck his weapon against hers, the metal banging and creating loud 'clangs!' that shook her flesh until it shriveled in on itself.

Knowing words weren't going to break him, Y/n staggered back. The best she could do was stall until Jungkook's fight with the Emperor was over. When she glanced at it, she noticed the Emperor had already bested Jungkook. He knocked the man to the ground and made his way to the ships. Jungkook groaned and got up, but he limped, which allowed the Emperor escape. Without so much as looking back, the Emperor boarded and left. He left Jimin behind.

Y/n and Jungkook joined each other's sides and gazed at Park Jimin. He had the familiar golden loops on his pants, which blended with the deep crimson of his chestplate. The Emperor's flag was painted on his shoulder piece with a bow swung around his back. Still, Park opted for his sword, which shimmered in the light of the sky.

"Jimin," Jungkook said in a desperate whine. "Please, don't make us hurt you. Talk to us, bud. Tell us what's going on. How can we help?"

It didn't matter. Jimin lunged into action, taking on the two of them at once with no issues. Y/n was the one struggling. She hadn't adjusted to her lack of a hand yet. She stumbled and missed one of her strikes, which caused Jimin to slam his elbow into her gut while blocking one of Jungkook's attacks.

Y/n coughed and spat out saliva. She dropped to one knee and held her sword against the sand. She picked herself up as Jimin overpowered Jungkook. Right when he was about to get the killing blow, Y/n ran at him.

Jimin heard it. He dodged and sliced the back of her knee to take her out of the fight. It worked. She fell and couldn't get back up. He destroyed the mobility in her leg. She shouted out from the pain and held her injury, watching as blood oozed from the wound and infected the golden dust beneath her with a sheet of scarlet. Tears watered inside her sockets. She shut them to contain her emotions, but it didn't matter. Darkness attempted to comfort her, but she could still smell and taste her bodily fluids. She could hear Jungkook yelling and straining to defeat Jimin in combat. She could feel moisture dripping from her and sticking to her dirty fingers.

When her eyes opened, she saw Jimin and Jungkook engaged in a blade lock. She couldn't stand, but she could crawl. While on her hand and good knee, she crept forward and took a dagger from her boot. Dust filled her clothes and swirled around her flesh, getting a taste of every last bitter emotion she felt inside her. A grunt left her parched lips as she approached from behind Jimin. There was only one option. The sand had masked the sound of her approach. That meant she could strike. She didn't want to, but it was either Jungkook or Jimin.

The blade sunk into the back of Jimin's shoe, which caused him to yelp and jump on instinct. He became a mirror of her. Both of them were rendered immobile. She had cut his Achilles heel. Despite how much her heart yearned for him, she couldn't bring herself to care about how badly she had injured him. The odds were, that was a permanent injury. He would have tendinitis at the very least, if not worse.

Jimin collapsed, but he didn't give up. He swiped at her, Y/n rolling to avoid his numerous attacks. Jungkook blocked them and knocked Jimin's sword away. After all that, Jimin didn't stop. He was relentless. He went for his bow next. Y/n was close enough that she grabbed the string and pulled it back. It snapped against Jimin's fingers, causing him to recoil.

Jungkook grabbed the top of Jimin's chestplate and dragged him to his feet. Jimin couldn't stand due to his injury. Jungkook was the only thing keeping him standing.

"Enough! We don't want to hurt you!" Jungkook said.

With her good hand, she searched Jimin from her spot on the ground. He had a knife in his boot. She confiscated it. Jungkook took off Jimin's utility belt and armor, stripping him of every weapon he had. Then, Jimin got his hands tied behind him using the belt.

"Y/n, we need to get both of you to doctors as soon as possible," Jungkook said.

Y/n managed to get into a sitting position and cradle her hurt leg. However, she kept her eyes on Jimin. Jimin had his head titled toward the ground, staring at the sand and rubbing his working foot around it. His tied hands traced around the beautiful, glowing surface. Y/n frowned. Although she carried a new sense of animosity toward him, she held memories of Jimin's love of nature. Commander Park was before her, but there was a hint of Jimin inside. The way he focused on the beach instead of his surroundings made her heart swell inside her. She forced the overwhelming feelings down and shifted her gaze to Jungkook.

"We need to go after the Emperor. If he gets away, it doesn't matter what we did here today," she said.

"Y/n, it does matter. What we do, no matter where the Emperor is, matters. If the rebels are winning inside, then we will have captured the Emperor's arsenal. There's nothing he can do. There's nothing left. It's over, okay? We won. Can we celebrate for a moment?"

Her lower lip quivered. "Is my Jimin here?"

Jungkook frowned. "Y/n..."

"Then there's nothing to celebrate," she whispered. Through it all, Commander Park didn't move.

They waited several minutes. Jungkook couldn't take them both back to the castle on his own. Shadow wasn't far; she was waiting in the trees for them. But no one trusted Jimin enough. He needed personal guards and his own Leeka so he could return to base safely. Part of Y/n wondered if taking him back to the castle would only hurt more. The last time they were there, he had chopped off her hand.

She fell into her thoughts. What seemed like an hour passed before Shawman came out with blood all over his face. Taehyung came out behind him, limping and clutching a shoulder wound. One by one, rebels trickled out. She noticed there were less than half left.

"We did it," Taehyung said with a boxy smile. "Namjoon's gone."

When they approached, they noticed Jimin not answering anyone or interacting with the rebels. He didn't even mock them. Y/n didn't know if that was a good sign or not.

"I'm glad you got him," Shawman said. "Jihyun and Yoongi will love to see him."

Jimin snapped his head up. "Jihyun? Where is he?"

"We have him, he's safe-"

"You fucking monsters!" Jimin shouted, attempting to get to his feet, but his heel wouldn't allow him. "You took my brother from me!? The Emperor was right! You do nothing but slaughter innocent lives! Fuck you! I'll kill you with my bare hands!"

Shawman sighed. "Contain him, please. Knock him out if you have to."

"You'll fucking pay!" Jimin said as two rebels pushed him against the ground. Tears fell off his nose and stained the sand, creating a dark pool underneath him. "You'll fucking pay... I'll kill you..."

His words got weaker with every passing second as he realized he was powerless. The rebels hoisted him up and dragged him away, which left Y/n with Jungkook. Jungkook didn't seem like he wanted to move. When she met his gaze, he gave in and helped her, carrying her despite his lack of fingers.

"It's not him," Jungkook said with a tone that sounded like it was stuck in his throat. "We'll save him."

But that wasn't true. No matter how much therapy they put him through, Jimin would never be the same. Her stump pressed against Jungkook's chest. Every time she looked at Jimin, she would remember the hand she lost. She would remember his worst moments, not his best. She would remember how he cut her knee and choked her. How he cursed her out and used to roll his eyes at every word she said. Gone was the person she loved. And what replaced him was Commander Park, the leader of the Emperor's army.

She smiled. It hurt her cheeks as it spread across her face. Y/n laughed in Jungkook's arms, the ache blossoming throughout her body and causing a rupture to form in her heart. The laugh turned into a choked sob.

"No, we won't," she whispered with a voice crack. She laughed one more time. "Park Jimin is dead."

A/N: I'm sure we all have mixed feelings about this. Jimin is safe, but at what cost? Will he ever be the same again?
