Never Surrender
Dean had been to the principal's office several times before, but this time was different. This time, Sam was there.
"Dean, what happened?" Sam demanded.
"Abby was bullying Castiel, so I told her to stop. She tried to punch me, but I dodged it. I never touched her. That is... until I threw her across the room," he lied.
"Oh, really? Because your classmates say otherwise. They say that Castiel's eyes glowed, then something invisible threw her."
"With all due respect Sammy, that's impossible."
"Since when have you shown me any respect?"
"Um... since now I guess."
"Principal Kayden, you can give him whatever punishment you see fit, but I'll deal with him at home."
"Dean, you are suspended for a week. Not a very good way to start your year, I might add," Principal Kayden said.
"Let's go, Dean," Sam said pulling him away.
As soon as they got to the car, Sam's demeanor changed entirely.
"Dean. I need to tell you something," he said. "It was Cas that hurt that girl. He's an angel. Like, an actual angel. From heaven. He has powers. He just might not know it yet."
"So... I'm not grounded?"
"Of course not. She was attacking you. You had every right to defend yourself. Besides, by the description of the fight I heard from your classmates, you were awesome."
"Thanks, Sammy."
And with that, they drove back to the bunker.
