7 Years Later
It was the first day of seventh grade, and Dean was excited. A new year meant new teachers. New teachers meant new people to prank. A new year also meant new 6th grade girls.
"Hey, Dean!" His best friend James called.
Dean started to walk towards his friend, but he wasn't looking where he was going. He bumped into a shorter boy, knocking the boy's books to the ground.
"S-sorry," the boy stammered, picking up his books. He looked up at Dean. Dean stared into his beautiful blue eyes for a second before regaining his composure.
"No. It was my fault. Sorry," Dean managed to say, helping the boy pick up his books. The boy walked away in a hurry before Dean could say anything else.
"Dude, what was that? Did you just apologize to a nerd? Dude, rule number one of being popular is never apologize to a nerd. Never," James said.
"Yes. I-I know. It's just..."
"Rule number two: don't be gay. No homo, dude. Remember that."
"What? You think I have a crush on him! Dude, no way. That's disgusting. Let's just get to class."
Dean arrived in his class just on time. There was a seating chart, and Dean had to sit in the second row, right behind someone named Castiel. That name sounded oddly familiar to Dean, but he couldn't place it. He went to his seat to discover that Castiel was the boy from the hallway. He decided to say hi.
"Um... Hi. I'm Dean Winchester," he said.
"My name is Castiel Annistyn," he replied.
