Chapter 25 : Draco

Draco

I never meant to do it. I kissed that stupid bitch. I had just gone for a short home visit during the weekend, and I kissed her. I kissed Astoria Greengrass, and I liked it. I didn’t know whether or not that was a good thing. I mean, Hanna and I aren’t happening, and she just looked so beautiful as she yelled at me. No one had ever yelled at me like Astoria does.  Hanna never yells at me. Mom and dad have never really yelled at me. I always got what I wanted before and there would be no argument against it, but Astoria always had something to say. I don’t know why, but I found that…attractive. I know that I had started out hating her, but I don’t think I can anymore.

“So, enjoy your little home visit?” Blaise asked me when I returned to our dorm room.

I didn’t say yes or no. Instead I launched into a long winded story of confusion.

I was just minding my own business after having my mother ask me about the wedding plans. I looked over everything and only changed what Astoria wanted. My door then opened. I knew who it was before she even started speaking. I knew that she would be angry with my changes and bring down her wrath on me, but I didn’t care. I only wanted to get under her skin.

“You bastard! Why is all my plans changed? Let me guess because you’re the dickhead who changed them. Well, let me tell you. You will never change anything that I want ever again. As I’ve said repeatedly to you, I always get what I want and you are not going to get in my way. Got it?” she had gotten so close that she was poking me in the chest, rather hard too.

“If I want to get in your way, I will. I always get what I want as well,” I smirked at her.

She narrowed her eyes at me. “You don’t want to tango with me, Malfoy. Trust me.”

“It’s a bad idea to tango with me as well, Greengrass.” If she wanted to play, I could play even better.

She didn’t move but continued to stand her ground. I had never been that close to her. Her eyes were a very beautiful green. Her lips were actually pink because she wasn’t wearing any makeup, but she didn’t need it. She was gorgeous naturally. My eyes travel down to the rest of her body, which I had looked at before but not up that close. I then smirked and took a step closer so that our chests were touching.

“You are –“ I never found out what I was because I had shut her up with a kiss. A beautiful kiss that I didn’t want to stop. She had shoved me off of her and raced out of the room, leaving me confused as hell.

“What about Hanna? Does this mean she’s totally out of the picture?” was his first question.

I sighed and shrugged. “I have no idea. I mean, I want it to work out with her, but what about this thing I have with Astoria? Should that be just tossed to the side?”

He shrugged. “I can’t tell you what to do, mate. I can only tell you to follow your heart. If you do, then nothing can go wrong for you. You’ve done a pretty good job of that all year. Now, you meet another girl and you’re swooning again. You do have to choose though. Just choose with your heart.”

He made a lot of sense. That’s what I would do then. I would choose with my heart. I would listen to my heart. That sounded a lot easier that it actually was. Between Astoria and Hanna, I had the hardest choice ever. I didn’t know who to choose. I needed to get away from everything.  I couldn’t do that without running away for just a little while. I had to run away.
