Changed me
I made a big
Switch
My career path changed

The road traveled by everyone
Was not mine own anymore
Instead I chose something
For the heart and soul
What would be right for me

Goodbye corporate
Hello college professor
Higher Education
Was my plan B or C
But I made it plan A.

I was going to get a doctorate
Despite the switch
But this sped up
The process

When I announced my
New found goal
I ended up with
A part time job
At SHU
Where I was in my last year

Research Assistant to the
Head of the Innovation Committee
10 months
15 hours max a week
And flexible hours
So I could focus on my studies

It was perfect
And a great start to my future
Gave me the experience
I needed as a starting point
Job lasted
Sept. 2012--June 2013
The latter when I graduated

It was the best decision ever
Unfortunately, due to ME
I had to push back starting
My Ph.D
My moon
But not forever

I always catch my stars
And
Land on my moon
