Rainbows and Sunshine
*Amber's pov*
What does swag even mean?
Oh whatever. What I'm currently wondering about is that smirk on Raine's face. It's never good for Raine to have a smirk.
Oh who am I kidding? It's not good for any weather angel to have a smirk. Especially Raine, though.
"Um...Raine?" I scooted a little away from her to face her better.
"Yeah?" It was like her eyes were mixed with the clouds, her imagination searching for something, and when I called to her, the connection was lost.
"Why are you smirking so much?"
That evil smirk reappeared when she replied with "Oh, no reason."
Just then my cyberwatch beeped.
Drought in Carolina- Need some rain and flowers :) -Nat
"Raine, we've gotta go."
"Why?" She looked down from the sky again.
"Well if you didn't get your cyberwatch wet, then maybe you would know."
"It's not my fault they didn't make a waterproof one. I mean, come one. I'm Raine Splash. It's kinda ironic that it wasn't waterproof."
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes, "we've got a drought and a need for spring on our hands and they've had a harsh winter so far. Thanks to Jack."
"Hey, it's my job, don't blame me!" He floated up, with his hands in surrender mode.
"Well you could have cut them some slack."
"It was orders, no I couldn't!"
This is where he got me.......Classic me, always getting on the wrong side of an argument. So I did the most mature thing to end this that I could think of.
I stuck my tongue out at him.
"I'd love to sit here and watch you two lovebirds argue adorabley, but um, we've gotta go." Raine grabbed my arm and we flew off, Raine talking to herself and me...a little confused.
"What do you mean lovebirds?" I said after about an hour in the skies.
"This is a conversation for another time." She replied blantantly.
"But Rai-"
"Amber." She said sternly. "I said it was for another time."
She was pretty much my older sister.
Beep beep. My stupid annoying cyberwatch beeped. I looked down at it and realized it was from Nat (who else?) saying she had a new waterproof watch from the tech geeks who pretended to be mortals long enough to get a degree in human tech-y stuff and that she needed her to come try it on at the Pole.
"Rai, Nat needs you at the Pole." The second I said that, her eyes lit up and she stopped arubtly, causing me to crash into her.
"Why?" She asked giddily.
"To try on the new cyberwatch...why are you so excided about that?"
"Um...Haha...Psh, no reason...just excited about the new watch, that's all."
"Sure."
"Now's my chance..." She said under her breath as we started going our different ways.
"What?!" I turned on her instantly.
Something is up.
