When Gerard woke up the next morning he actually felt pretty well rested. Usually his insomnia was a bitch, and would leave him tossing and turning all night. But, apparently Frank was not only a beautiful specimen, he was also a miracle worker.

  With a groan Gerard forced himself to get out of bed, so he could start working on his new video, painting David Bowie. Painting was one of his favorite things to do, so he was itching to get started. The only problem was he wasn't sure where to start.

  As he was trying to picture what he should paint, he remembered Frank's cover of 'Life on Mars'. Gerard smiled, and his excitement began to grow. He knew exactly what he wanted to do. He checked the time which read '11:54 a.m' and decided he'd make lunch (and coffee of course), and then get started.

  After eating a quick sandwich, and gathering all the art supplies he would need, his camera, and Tripod; Gerard settled in to his kitchen table and turned on his camera.

  "Hello, my loves!" He waved to the camera with a big smile.

  "Today I'm going to be doing a speed painting of the one and only David Bowie!" Gerard does jazz hands after his announcement, because who doesn't love jazz hands?

  "Before I get started I just want to say that I've been wanting to paint Bowie for fucking forever, but I just couldn't figure out where to start. He is such an icon that I wanted to do him justice, and take my time on planning how I want it to look." Gerard explains to the camera.

  He knows realistically there will probably be very few people watching his video, as it's only his second one, but he still wants them to get to know him and feel like he's talking directly to them.

  "But last night I found a cover of 'Life on Mars' by frankieromustdie, which I'll leave in the description by the way, and it inspired me. So, I hope you guys enjoy the painting and go check out Frank's covers." Gerard says smiling, as he finishes up his intro.

  He pours himself into the painting, mixing blues, purples, and blacks, to create a perfect galaxy scene. The painting consists of Bowie sitting on top of Mars with his eyes closed, head tiled towards the sun with a serene smile on his lips.
Gerard tried to capture the feel of Frank's thumbnail in his painting, and he was so proud of how it turned out.

  By the time Gerard was completely finished painting it was already 7:57 p.m. He's no stranger to losing track of time while painting, he's just glad he made himself get up when he needed to pee. Let's just say he's learned from experience that you can only hold it for so long... yeah, that wasn't a good time.

  His mom was less than impressed when she came home and had to throw away one of their good chairs because of Gerard's Piss Stain™️. In his defense he was distracted painting, and he sneezed after holding his pee in for an unholy amount of time, and it just kinda.. fell out. What's worse though, is he didn't notice, too caught up in perfecting his project. So, Donna Way came home to her son sitting in his own piss at the table for god knows how long. Gerard shutters at the memory. His mom is a god damned saint.

  Shaking off the disgusting childhood memory, Gerard decides he should record a quick outro and show his painting.

"Ta Da! Here's the finished result!" He says, panning the camera over so you could see the whole painting.

"I'm so in love with how this turned out, and I hope you guys love it too. I was super inspired by Frank's thumbnail for his cover, that I had to bring it to life in this painting. Gerard blows a huge kiss at the camera as he ends the intro, and stops recording.

'Today was a pretty good Saturday.' He thinks to himself with a smile. He decides he'll call Lindsey and Mikey later tonight while he's editing his video, and tell them to come over soon so he can show them the video before he posts it. He's really excited to see if the video turns out as good as he hopes, and get some feed back from his friends.

Gerard snaps a quick picture of his painting for Instagram and posts it, putting a few hashtags in the caption to hopefully get more views on it. He realizes it's well past time for supper and decides to just order a pizza. Feeling content with how his day has gone and excited to start editing the video, Gerard relaxes into the couch and turns on the tv. Letting the sound of 'Adventure Time' drown out the rest of reality as he waits for his pizza.
