With a camera cut to Haden sitting upon "his" throne, it cuts again to the large doors to the throne room where we see the doors coming open and Elias in his guard disguise enters.

Seeing a guard at either side of the door as he enters, he turns to the one on the left.

Elias
(Voice deeper)
Hey, you! Captain Heartfelt has ordered we switch places. He needs you for something, didn't explain what.

Guard
(Confused)
Uh, okay?

The guard looks supremely confused by this, but doesn't really question it.

He starts to listen when Haden stops him.

Haden
(Skeptical)
Hold it.

Haden stands from the throne and walks down the small steps.

Haden
And how do I know you're telling the truth? I have instructed that blasted captain to tell me of his decisions

Elias looks over at him, thinking up an excuse quickly.

Elias
I was simply told to come here and do as told. He said it was urgent.

Haden
Is that so? I don't buy it.

He looks towards and points at the guard.

Haden
You, stay where you are. Whoever thinks they can undermine me, be it a random soldier or a captain, they aren't ready for the hell I'll put them through.

He looks at Elias.

Haden
I command your arrest. Boys, take him in for questioning.

The two guards look at Haden and back at Elias, not sure what to do. It shows Elias that they are people who's mind could be swayed.

Elias
Oh, you want me arrested? Tyrant...

Elias looks at both of the guards intermittently.

Elias
Do you both like this wannabe dictator? He wants to be an emperor and all who oppose him to be made to suffer.

Haden
(Furious)
Swine. Watch your tongue when addressing your king!

Elias turns to look at him with a smile. He puts his arms out at either side.

Elias
And why should I hold my tongue when addressing a false king? I mean, you murdered the last one, did you not? And the royal advisor too. Why exactly should I watch my mouth when speaking about a usurper?

Haden
(Infuriated)
That's it! Men! Kill him!

He swings his arms in sheer anger and fury. If he could have his way, Elias would be killed where he stood.

The two guards however, look towards one another from across the room. They nod in agreement over a matter.

Guard 1
I'm sorry "your majesty," but if what he says is true...

Guard 2
(Anger)
Then we can't follow your lead!

Guard 2 draws his sword, ready to charge at a moment's notice.

Elias looks at them both, his handiwork, and back at Haden, who is still angry.

Elias
See? It would seem that they are on my side now. You have no power within this room.

Haden looks at the three men standing against him, angered yet somewhat scared.

Haden
...

Haden scans the room and sees a straight shot through the middle and to the door, which remains slightly open.

He starts running straight ahead as all three, who stand at either side of the room a bit from the door try to block him, Elias unsheathing his sword and nearly cutting Haden asunder yet missing and only ripping the side of his shirt as he runs past.

He books it out the door and down the hall, yelling out for other guards to come to his aid.

Elias looks at the guards.

Elias
Where's Princess River?!

Guard 1
She was taken to her bedroom per the "king's" request!

Elias
Then go get her!

He looks at guard 2.

Elias
You, come with me!

All three run out of the throne room and the camera cuts to Haden's face as he runs before cutting to black.
