Trigger warning: descriptive description of an actual ass, mentions of intrusive thoughts, mentions of sex

"Make way, make way! Your prince has arrived!" That all familiar, dramatic voice boomed through the auditorium with a mix of his heavy footsteps tapping against the wooden stage. Drama-club members all rolled their eyes fondly; they would admit they were all rather dramatic, but Roman took it to the next level; always.

Virgil, who was back stage looking over sandbags and ropes, even heard the voice and he was wearing damn headphones. Tucking them around his neck, he leaned on the wall and quirked an eyebrow in Roman's direction, the man walked past with a smirk and an obvious sway of his hips.

"What are you doing?" Virgil had to ask, watching as he bent down and rummaged through a duffle bag that always seemed to be in that same spot; pushed against the wall on the way to the storage closets. "I'm looking for my script! I left it here yesterday and lost items are returned here!" He explained, pushing aside random objects until he gasped, drawing out the thick binder of pages.

"Huzzah!" He shrieked, jumping onto his feet and twirling around. "I found it! Oh, mission accomplished, me! I couldn't have done it without you" he emphasised his enthusiasm by pressing kisses across the pages, Virgil scrunched up his face - Maybe Roman and Remus weren't so different after all. At least they were both extremely weird.

"So, pink locker?"

Roman paused, then snorted out a laugh. "That's what the beast gets! My locker still smells!" He whined, stomping his foot in anguish. "Only because you ruined his speech notes"

"Because he ruined my car!"

"Because you dyed his hair green"

Roman went to retaliate but a laughter bubbling in his throat cut him off, he remembered that day over the course of the entire Christmas holidays - in his opinion one of his favourite pranks against his damned enemy. "He deserved it" Roman excused with a shrug, deciding to lean on the stone wall opposite Virgil if they were having a long conversation. The two have never really had it out for each other; they were simply naturally drawn apart due to their status with Logan. Roman wouldn't admit it out loud but he did think Virgil was cool, and had quite the knack for behind-the-scenes action.

Virgil also hated to say it but Roman wasn't bad either. The first proper interaction with him he wondered why Logan hated him so much. He wasn't as bad as described, at least not generally.

"Why... did all this start anyway?" Virgil murmured after a moment, he had become increasingly intrigued by the mystery of Roman's and Logan's repetitive fights and deep, burning hatred for each other. And now... he really wanted to learn more.

Roman sighed, glancing off to the distance, in a trance of memories, thinking back to the first day they met...

"It started-" before he could continue his phone suddenly blared; "you get the best of both worlds!" Which didn't even phase him, unsurprisingly, and he even began mouthing the words before answering and holding it up to his ear.

Virgil couldn't hear the other end, it was a muffled yell, but it sure made Roman's eyes widen. "Disney! I'm late!" He cried, turning to Virgil in a hurry. "I'm so sorry I can't answer right now- um" he waved his hand around wildly, so much so Virgil took a step back. "Let's just say we didn't hate each other from the start, it... it just grew!" He then dashed out towards the stage with his phone in one hand, script in the other. Virgil watched through the gap between the curtains as he crashed through the double doors and sprinted down the hall.

Unfortunately that only brought him more questions; grew from what? They couldn't just hate each other from nothing. Sure, dislike their personalities, but so much hate to the point where they go out of their way to make the other's life hellish? It didn't make sense! Something happened, and Virgil wanted to know what.

Patton hummed a soft tune as he skipped down the quiet hallway, he needed to use the bathroom badly after drinking the rest of his water. He wasn't too upset, it just meant he was staying hydrated! Which he knew was very important. He's always been terrible at caring for himself, so whenever he strives to be healthy and better, it always makes him feel proud and happy. And he loves being happy.

Opening up the bathroom door his eyes landed on Remus sitting at the far end of the bathroom, curled up in a ball, whispering quietly to himself. Concerned, Patton slowly walked up to him, kneeling down a few feet away. He didn't want to overwhelm him by being too close. He was tempted to shoot Roman a text, but when Remus' eyes snapped up to him and he suddenly silenced, Patton thought it best he didn't make any movements.

"Remus? It's me, Patton. Roman's friend" he explained in a soft voice. Remus repeated what he said quietly, needing to a few times before his brain registered his words between the current mixture of dreadful thoughts shooting through his mind. "Patton" he murmured, the boy in question nodded with a gentle smile.

"That's me"

Remus nodded too, slowly bring his hands away from his ears. "Thoughts. Bad thoughts" he explained, eyes fixated on the ground. Patton knew enough of Remus through staying over Roman's house a few times to know he dealt with terrible intrusive thoughts; while over the years he's gotten better at controlling, ignoring, or embracing them sometimes they can unbearable. Mixed with his ADHD he can pass from thought to thought without being able to focus on the world around him.

"Want me to stay here?"

Remus nodded. Patton slowly moved to sit beside him, reaching out to hold his hand but not touching it yet, he waited for Remus' shaky grasp and he clutched it tight. That reassuring hold. "I walked my dog before coming to school today" Patton began distracting him, "we met another dog on the walk! She was lovely but much bigger than mine, it didn't keep him from trying to act like the boss though! He's so cheeky" He giggled lightly, thinking about his pet whom he loved ever since they first adopted him.

"Did your dog kill her?" Remus muttered.

Patton's eyes widened, he then quickly realised that probably wasn't the best way to distract his thoughts. "No, of course not. But um- let's move on. Wanna play eye spy?" Although a game meant for children he hoped it would get him focused on the world around them, rather than being trapped in his mind.

He hummed lightly as a response, Patton took a brisk view of the bathroom, "eye spy with my little eye, something beginning with... S!"

And that was how the two of them spent the rest of the hour, Patton took every turn to ensure Remus' focus wouldn't be broken and just before the bell rang through the school the two were giggling, still holding hands tightly. "And then he fell down the stairs!" Remus cackled, "he told me to promise not to tell anyone, but I've told everyone" his eyes shone as he explained, Patton laughing along with him.

Unfortunately the blare of the bell broke them from their spell, Patton didn't worry one bit about class; he'd much rather miss many more lessons if it meant he could comfort anyone in need. He wouldn't dare want to turn back time and leave Remus by himself.

"You feeling better?"

Remus stood up and grinned, "Yes! Now I can think of porn in peace" he sighed wistfully, Patton blushed and shook his head. Of course, he didn't expect any less from Roman's brother. It was unfortunate he didn't get to spend more time with him; Roman typically kept his friends away from Remus and vice versa, resulting in Patton only conversing with him when he spent time over Roman's house. Still, the time they shared here was... nice. And Patton wanted to do it again, in different circumstances of course.

"I need to get back to my class and grab my stuff- stay safe for me, Remus. And text me if you need me" Patton leaned up to press a kiss to his cheek before darting out the room and down the filling hallways. Remus touched his cheek and smiled; Patton's affections were adorable. He sort of wanted to have sex with him now.

But then he was reminded of Virgil, and his smile turned into a smirk.

He'd much rather have sex with him.
