Chapter 14
The soldiers were all hanging out in the jail house, two soldiers leaning against the walls next to the front door, some sitting down on the desk chair relaxing while others stood just pacing around or watching the others. They were enjoying the silence, well was enjoying the silence, that's until the screams started up and the banging began. A man, holding a Ak-47 in one hand leaning against the door, ran into the building screaming.
"Get your ass out here!" The man yelled, "We need your help!" he takes a look outside and taking a shot, "Now! We have a major problem!"
All the soldiers immediately ran to grab their guns, along with extra bullets and a few knifes, before running out the door following with the man who just came in. The last man turned around and looked back at a man, who was standing behind a desk just looking at men leaving.
"Vincent, catch!" The man tosses him the keys to the cells, "Stay here and do not let anyone in, you hear me?"
The guy caught the keys and rapidly nodded before watching the other man respond with one nod and rushed out. As soon as the man left, Vincent ran to the door and closed the doors properly. He stood there with one hand on the handle, the other leaned against the door and his forehead as he listened to footsteps running by, gunfire and screams coming from the other side. He listens to his breathing as a wicked smile appears on his face. He turned around and leaned against the door as he looked at the people hanging. He pushed himself off the door and walked towards the cell as he looked for the correct key. When he opened the cell door, he walked up to the brown wavy haired girl before let her down. When her feet touched the ground she stood straight up and looked him straight in the eyes not letting him intimidate her.
Vincent lowered his mouth to her ear, causing her to back up into the wall, and he keeps her there, "I've been wondering what it would be like to be with someone like you." He told her and she could almost hear the smile that crawled onto his face, "Now is the perfect time to do so. No distractions or interruptions." He said soothing and quietly.
The voice he tried making made her feel disgusted and it sent shivers down her spine as his breath tickled the crease of her neck and shoulder. He pulled away to look her straight in the face and a smirk was splattered on his face while he got a cold hard stare in return.
Before anyone could call what happened, she smacked the keys out of Vincent's right hand with hers and instinctively smashed her head into his causing him to stumble back and lift his hands up to his face.
"You-" he leaned forward as she didn't give him a chance to finish before she met her fist with his stomach.
She then smashed her fist into his face before he could react. She took a step towards him to make another move but once she was close enough he swung his elbow back connecting it with her abdomen, causing her to lean forward and started coughing. He recovered from the blow and stood up, continuing to hit her. He threw a punch to her face, making her twist to the side and her holding her cheek. He then shoved her to the wall, lifting her a few inches off the floor and holding his forearm against her neck. She uses one arm to try and push him away while the other hand is gripping his forearm.
"Don't ever try anything like that." He growled at her, "Do not ever try that again do you hear me?" he questioned as he barked at her.
No reply.
"Answer me." He yelled at her.
She just stared at him.
"You will not disrespect me." he told her, "I will not hesitate to blow your head off. Now I'm going to ask again, do you hear me?"
She spit at him, "No."
Without any warning he grabbed her by her hair and tossed her to the other side of the cell where she hit her back on the bars and fell to the floor on her side. She lets out a moan of pain.
"Adira!" A little voice screamed in worry.
This caused Vincent to take his eyes off of the girl on the floor to the little one hanging. When he saw her he made his way over to her making her scared. The little girl closed her eyes and turned her head trying to stay away from him. Adira got up off the floor and rushed towards him smashing Vincent into the wall between the girl and the boy on right side of her. Vincent turned and smacked Adira in the face making her fall to the floor again.
"Get up!" he yelled at her as he grabbed her hair and pulled her out of the cell closing the cell behind him, "I'll show you what happens to misbehaving twats like you." he growled.
He tries to drag Adira to a hallway that leads to the back room but before they get close Adira starts to move around and elbows Vincent in the ribs then pushing him to the side. She turns around and takes a few steps when Vincent wraps his arm around her waist and she quickly grabs hold of the last bar of the cell and holds on to it as he pulls her so she could let it go. She looks at the rope tied right in front of her and she quickly takes hold of it and lets go of the bar allowing Vincent to pull her back. This causes the rope to untie and when she lets go she's pulled up into the air and a hand ends up holding her legs.
"Let go of me!" she yells, "Leave me alone! Put me down!" she screams as loud as she can as she wiggles in his grip but he doesn't budge.
He drags her through the hall and unlocks a door and throws her to the floor. The room they were in looked as if it was the interrogation room. There was nothing but a small table in the corner of the room and chairs each of the longest sides of the table. Adira looked up at Vincent with a deadly stare as he looked at her with a smirk plastered on his. She plopped up on her hands and started scooting away as he walked towards her. She scooted all the way until her back was straight against the wall. Vincent grabbed her by the throat and lifted her up to her feet and pushed himself so close that there was hardly any space between them.
Adira took in two deep breaths as his face was a few inches away from hers. A wide grin pulled at the edges of his lips as he made intense eye contact with her. His hand had a grip on her hip to hold her in place and uses his thump to caress her hip bone. He begins to move one of his hands up the side of her body before going down and sticking his hand under her shirt. While his hand gets closer to her chest, his lips are closing the only space between the two.
Adira keeps her eye contact with Vincent, as she puts her hand on his forearm. Her action causes him to do a one sided smile. He pushes his body against hers even more. As he reaches the middle of her rib cage, she smashes her head against his again before grabbing his head and smashing against the wall behind her. She makes a run for the door but before she gets close to the door, he grabs her wrist and waist pulling her back and smashing her onto the table as he holds her head down. She tries to wiggle out of the new position she is in but he's too strong to get him off.
She is now bent over the table as he stands behind her with one hand on her back, holding her down and her arm behind her back, while the other one is by his zipper. The room is silent and the only sound they could hear is the sound of their heavy breathing.
"You just never listen, do you?" Vincent growled at her.
"What can you say, I'm a rebel." She smirks.
As he starts to unzip, a bunch of banging comes from the other side of the door. Both eyes turn to look over at the door only to see a bunch of infects on the other side looking in. Vincent smirks to himself before bending over her to get his mouth near her lips.
"Looks like we have an audience." He smiles before standing up straight.
Adira looks around for something she could use to help her but she finds nothing in the room. Adira rolls her eyes and drops her head to the table as she closes her eyes.
"Again, Adira." A male voice told her.
"Why?" Adira whined, "This is so stupid."
"Baby, it's for your protection." He told her, "You need to learn how to protect yourself."
"You taught me how to already." She said, "You taught me how to not get in that kind of position."
"And now I am trying to teach you how to get out of that position just in case you do get into this kind of position."
"So stupid." Adira whispered.
"Let's go." He said, "James?" he nodded to a slim guy, who was a few inches taller than Adira, "Ready?"
James nodded, "Yes, sir."
"Go for it. Oh and James don't get too touchy with my daughter." He said getting a nod from James, "Adira, remember try pushing back then use your-"
Adira laughed to herself and shook her head.
"What's so funny?" Vincent asked her.
"Nothing-" She said, "Just remembered something."
"Which is what?" Vincent eyebrows pulled together.
"This!" She yelled pushing her butt back into him before raising her foot and smashing it to his left foot, causing him to let out a groan.
She then swung her leg back and kicked him in the chin earning another groan and enough room for her to do a 180 and taking his head and smashing it to the wall. She didn't waste any time because as soon as his head hit the wall she ran to the door and putting her hand on the handle.
"No don't open that." Vincent yelled as he noticed her near the door, "You're ganna get us both killed."
She let a smile crawl on her face as she watched him get off the floor and stumbled towards her. When he was close enough, she swung the door open and hid behind the door squeezing the door as small as she can to herself.
"No!" Vincent screamed as the infected stumbled in and all pounced on him as he tried to get away.
Once Adira thought it was safe, she quickly got to the other side of the door kicked in the last infected, to make room for her to shut the door all the way, and looked inside. She saw Vincent on the table looking at the door before he jumped off and made his way the door and banged on it. Adira looked at the door knob and took it in her hands just to keep him from opening it back up. When she looked up, she saw Vincent pressed against the door screaming as blood came out of his mouth and onto the squared window. Adira walked back her head to the floor and started to walk to the front of the jail where she once was. As she looked up she saw shadows on the wall and heard voices. She immediately turned around and ran into a random room and hid in there.
"Vincent!" A deep voice called out, "Vincent, where are you?"
"Where could he have gone?" Another voice asked.
"I told him to stay in here and let no one in." the deep voice sounded angry, "N-" he was interrupted.
"Oh my god, is that Vincent?" The other voice asked.
"Shit." She hears one say, "Come on lets go see if we can find the others since our prisoners escaped."
Did they really leave me? She thought to herself they're probably just hiding somewhere.
With that she hears footsteps running in the other direction from her. She lets out a sigh of relief before getting out of where she was hiding and opens the door and takes a step out into the halls looking behind her then when she's about to turn around she's met with an infected right in front of her. She jumps a little before the thing jumps at her. Adira backs up causing the infected to hit the ground on her face but that still didn't stop it. Instead it started crawling towards her causing Adira to frantically back away from the thing but trips on herself.
Adira starts kicking the thing in the head knocking it backwards onto its back. She gets on top of the thing and starts punching it and smashes its head to the floor. Adira stops thinking the infected is done with but as soon as she stands up it does to, pushing Adira into the wall.
"The hell." Adira looked at it in question as she held it back with her forearm.
Before she could react a gun went off and the infected fell to the floor sideways taking Adira with it. Adira looked at the infected lying next to her before looking down the hall to find a slim boy, aiming a gun, and a slim short girl next to him to his right and another even shorter girl to his left holding the boys shirt. Adira lets out another deep breath and puts her hands to her face.
"You didn't think we left ya, did ya?" The boy said with a slight smile as he walked up to one side of her and the girl to the other side, helping her up.
"No." She breathed out letting a smile cross her face as she let out a tiny laugh.
"Look what we got." He told her holding the gun up to her so she could see it.
"Where'd you find it?" She asked.
"I didn't." He told her, "Madison did." He pointed to Madison, who had a smile on her face.
"Found it in under the desk that Taylor told me to hide under." She informed her, "It was taped on the board, you know, like the people in the movies have their guns under their desks."
Adira nodded, "Okay come on." She limped between them as she hear growling and hissing noises.
She looked down the hall to see multiple shadows getting smaller and smaller as they get closer to the wall. She grabbed them by the shoulders, "We gotta get out of here." She turns around and they hurry out the back door, "Nice shot by the way."
Taylor just looked at her with a smile and back down at the gun.
