Chapter 6: The Meeting
A few months later...
Lightning woke up with a yawn. She stretched and climbed out of her bed, she grabbed a piece of deer and flew out. She had to get to the Queenly meeting with Thunder, she wished Bolt could come, but he wasn't royal. Only Electric could come. She raced down the hill and soon found Thunder, Electric, King Shock and Bolt. As well as Strike (sadly) and a bunch of other Storm Dragons she didn't know.
"Hi Mother," Lightning said as she finished up her deer.
"Hello, your—"
"Your late Lightning..." Electric said interrupting his mother. He turned and nodded to the crowd. "We are going to be leaving right now, we will be gone for 3 days. 1 to get there, 1 to stay and 1 to get back."
The crowd was soon leaving and the King went back to the palace. Lighting was unraveling her wings and was getting ready to fly. They all lifted up into the air and it was soon dark, the three moons rising. As they landed, Lightning let out a giant sigh, "Finally! I'm sooo tired!" She said.
"Well, get as much sleep you can, Lightning," Thunder said." It will be a long day tomorrow." Shock nodded in agreement. Lightning left and curled up in the nearby cave, it could fit 3 adult dragons comfortably, so it was the perfect size. Lightning soon drifted off in to the sea of dreams.
Lightning woke up and stretched.
"Good morning sleepy head," Shock joked. Lightning shook her gray head.
"Whatever." Lightning grabbed a cow and started eating gratefully. The three dragons were soon up into the air and Lightning saw a palace, the WindWing one from all the soldiers. They landed and were checked by a few male soldiers. Lightning let them check her and they let her in, followed my her Mother and her Brother. The CloudWing queen looked like a older version of Gray. Lightning looked around and saw Shock walk over to the other princes, probably friends of some sort. Thunder grabbed Lightning by the shoulder and practically dragged her daughter over to the Queens, and their heirs. They both sat down on the wide, circular table. Lightning was across from the WindWings heir, Tornado, and her mother, Breeze. Next to them was the CloudWings, Queen Cirrus and Princess Stratus. As the queens talked, Lightning didn't pay attention. Or, at lest until one of them asked a question of the StormWing.
"Princess Lightning, how do you feel being the next heir?" The WindWing Queen asked.
Lightning swallowed. "Good." She lied.
The CloudWing growled. "The StormWings shouldn't even be 'Wings!' She hissed.
Queen Breeze gapped. "Cirrus! That's not a way to speak to our fellow Tribe." She said.
The other queen growled at her. "You can tell me that!" She countered.
Lightning looked to both of them. 'No, not now!' She thought, fumbling with her bracelets.
Her mother slammed her talon of the table. "We are rightfully a tribe, and if you don't agree, do something about it!" She said, grabbing her daughter and storming out the meeting place.
