(You've to adapt to the medium in order to reach the best of the reader population. This might be an uncommon thing to mention, but our attention span is getting shorter and shorter. Since Wattpad carters to Mobile Readers, I think the optimum Reading Time is somewhere around 5-10 mins. The ideal word count per chapter should be 2,000-3,000 if you seek to appeal to the majority of the audiences. This is not the key to success and is severely discriminate to traditionally-required long chapter genres, but it helps on Wattpad.)
