You were in your dad's recording studio, recording a song that you wrote. You sang the chorus. "I'm an empty page, I'm an open book. Write Your story on my heart. Come on and make Your mark. Author of my hope, Maker of the stars. Let me be Your work of art. Won't you write your story on my heart." You sang.

"I want my history, To be Your legacy! Go ahead and show this world, What You've done in me. And when the music fades, I want my life to say!-" you sing but stop when a old man in a white kimono, straw hat, a long beard and with a bamboo stick walks into the room.

You took your headphones off and leave the booth to turn off the music. "Your voice is loud and strong, useful to start a crowd. Useless in the art of stealth." He says and walks over to one of the microphone leaning against the wall. "All tools for an artist. But nothing for a ninja?" He says. You fold your arms, "A ninja? This ain't a dojo. What do you want here anyways?" You ask him. "Did you not know?" He asked you. "Not know what?" "Your mother was a descendant of the elemental master of the voice." He tells you.

You stare at him for a minute then laugh. "For real doe? Hahahaha the only descendant my momma be from is from a long line of singers! Look dude I ain't got no idea what you doin' here but if my dad didn't send you here then you can just leave." You say. "He's right baby." You hear your mother say.

You turn around too see your mom and dad. "Momma?" You ask and she gives you a smile. "Marcy...I was gonna tell you sooner but I got caught up in things..." She says. "What's goin' on?!" You ask. "Marcy, your mother was a Ninja of the Voice. And it's time you continue that path." Your dad says

"Excuse me?! Yo! That ain't fair! How come Marcy gets to be a ninja and I don't!?" Tyler asks coming into the room. "Tyler! Do you really believe this?! Y'all just playin' with me!....right??" You say and everyone gets a serious look. "They don't look like they playin' Marcy." Your brother says.

"Guys! C'mon! I don't even know how to be a ninja! You said I was supposed to be a singer!" "You still can be! But this is something you'll have to do first. You'll train with Sensei Wu." Your mom says and you look at the man and he gives you a smile.

"I-i dunno..." You doubt. "Marcy! What's wrong with you! Ninjas are awesome! You'd have to be stupid to not take this!!! And Sensei Wu is the Sensei of the five famous ninja!! The heck is wrong wit' you girl'?" Your brother says. "Well maybe I am stupid cause I ain't doin this!" You say then grab your jacket and storm out of the recording lounge. "MARCY!!" Your mother calls to you but you keep going down the hall. You put on your jacket and go in the elevator.

Before the doors could close, Sensei Wu uses his staff to hold the doors open. You roll your eyes and he steps inside the elevator. "Ninjago needs someone like you Marcy. You have talent like your mother." He tells you. The elevator goes down, "Yeah, it'll need me on stage! Not in a battle field! My dad and momma said to follow my dreams, well what if I wanted to be a singer! I'm so close! I'm workin' on my Ep! I'm sorry Sensei but I can't be a ninja." You tell him and then the doors open. He follows you out, "Your power will get stronger if you don't know how to control it!" You stop walking and turn to face him.

"Let me ask you this Sensei, will I be able to sing?" You ask him and he nods. You get surprised, "Will I be able to make people happy with my voice? Can they buy my singles?!" You ask him. "You will save people with your power, they do not need a recording of you to be saved." He says and that's when you stop and think.

'Maybe being a ninja don't sound too bad' You look behind him and see your family just arriving from the elevator. "Well...I'll have to think bout' it but I'll get back with ya." You say with a small smile then exit the building.

When you got home you dialed up your friend Mikaela for some serious girl talk. You laid on your bed and she picked up. "Hey girl!" She says. "Girrrlll oh my god. Can you come over? I need you're help with somethin'." You say. "On my way!" She says then hangs up. A few minutes later there was a knock on your door.

"Come in!" You say and your friend comes inside. "Hey girl! Tell me everything! Wait! Oh my gosh! That scarf is so cute!" She says pointing at your scarf. You look down at it and smile. "Girl you will not believe what happened at the recordin' studio earlier!" You say then tell her everything.

"No way! Seriously!?" She asks surprised. "Yeah. Look, what do you think I should do?" You ask her and you both get serious. "Well hey! Ninja need a break right? Maybe when you get your big break you can finish your ep! You can still do your dream while doing something else. And besides! You never tried it! Who knows maybe you'll like being a ninja! Look, why don't you just give it a try. I mean your training under The Sensei Wu! The same guy who trains Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane and Ahhh Lloyd Garmadon! Oh my god please be a ninja!!" She says and you chuckle.

"You really think I'd be a good ninja?" "Everyone else thinks so! Why not you?" You think for a minute then smile at her. "Well...alright, I guess I could try it." You say and she squeals. "Oh my god! When you meet the ninja PLEASE introduce me to Lloyd Garmadon!!! He's just so, Ahhh." She fangirls and you laugh. There was a knock on your door, "Come in!" You say and it's your brother.

"OHHH YOOO!!! MY TWIN SISTER'S GON' BE A NINJA!!" He yells then starts beat boxing. You and your friend laugh, "Have you been standin' there the whole time Ty?" You ask and he stops beatboxing. "Well uh, you guys talk loud! And I uh was wonderin' the heck y'all was talkin' bout'." He says and you roll your eyes

Just then your parents came to the doorway. "I heard yelling! Is it true?!" Your dad says and you chuckle and nod. Your mom and dad cheer and give you a hug. "Oh what the heck! Group hug!!" Mikaela says and everyone hugs you. "Yo! A girl's gotta breathe!" You say and everyone laughs and let's go.

"Wu wants you to meet him at the dojo right away!" Your mom says and you smile. "Ooh!! Lemme take you!!" Mikaela says and grabs your wrist, bringing you downstairs. "Wait girl! I gotta grab my jacket! It ain't summer no more!" You say and she chuckles, letting you go. You grab your jacket and put it on, then follow her to her car.

You both go to the address and make it to some monastery. "This ain't no dojo!" You say getting out of Mikaela's car. "Yeah, hey! What if this is where the ninja live!!!" She says getting excited. "Or! You went the wrong way!" You say. "What is wrong? Something that is different? Or something that is different than you?" You heard a voice say.

You and Mikaela turn around to see Sensei sitting on a rock, drinking tea. You and Mikaela look at each other then bow to him in respect. "Sensei! I uh, I'm here to begin my trainin' as the Ninja of the Voice." You tell him.

"Is this the right place?" You ask and Sensei nods yes. "I knew you would come." He says with a smile. "Is this where you and the ninja live?? If so, where are the ninja?" Mikaela asks and you look at her with a glare. "They are not here right now. They all went off to Ninjago city for a small mission." He answers. "Dang it! We're late!" Mikaela says and you chuckle. "You can go Mikaela, I'll call ya when I'm done." You say and she nods and smiles and says goodbye, then Mikaela drives away.

"Come! Your training begins now." He says and you follow him into the monastery. You gasped at how big the home of Ninjago's heroes was. You Sensei brought you through two double rice paper doors to a training room. "So it starts now huh?" You ask him and he nods. He presses a button and a spinning course comes up from the ground.

You take your jacket off and scarf and put them in your purse, on the floor. "Finish the training course before I finish my tea, then we will see if you are ready." He says. You nod then jump in only to be hit in the face by a pole. The course stops and Sensei gets up. "Fail."

You get up from the floor, "Wait lemme try again!" You say and he shakes his head no, heading for the door. "Tomorrow we will try again." He says. "Well now hold on a second. If I'm this bad then It's better if the ninja don't be seein' me. Isn't there another place we can do this?" You say and Sensei stops walking.

"Well, there is another place...alright, if you do not wish for the others to see you yet until you are a ninja then we will train at the other place, tomorrow." You sigh in relief, you didn't wanna look bad if you were gonna look bad. Sensei gave you the address and you told him you'd meet him there tomorrow. Were you really ready to become Ninjago's next hero?
