The next day you arrived at the dojo and was surprised when you saw Sensei Wu there today with Jay. "Sensei! You're back!" You say with a smile and Sensei smiles and nods. "Yeah a little sooner then expected..." You heard Jay mumble. "Jay has told me that you have improved a lot while I was gone. I'm here to see what you've learned for the past couple days." He says. So you showed Sensei Wu everything that Jay taught you. From fighting to using a weapon and you definitely agree with Sensei, you were definitely improving.

"Wonderful! I am proud and your mother would be proud too." Sensei says and Jay smiles. "I agree with ya Sensei, she's one heck of a ninja huh!" Jay has and you blush. "Oh and Sensei, I was singing yesterday and I may have accidentally cracked my car windshield..." You say and both their eyes popped open in surprise. "But I didn't hit no high notes or anythin'! I just sang softly and quietly and then the next thing you know, I gotta call my car insurance!!" You explain.

"Your power is getting stronger then. We must begin power training soon. I think you are finished with your fight and stealth training. Your final test will be tomorrow." Wu said. "But wait a second! What color ninja is she?!" Jay asks. "Ah yes, but first! Ninja go!" Sensei says then spins in a Spinjitzu tornado.

He comes at you and you spin around for a minute then stop. Sensei stops his Spinjitzu and you both are standing still. You look down at yourself and feel your face. You wore a purple Gi and had a purple ninja mask covering half your face.

"You are the Purple Ninja! Master of Voice." Sensei says. "Woah!! You look awesome!!" Jay says and you smile even though it can't be seen under your hood and mask. You pull it back and show your smile. "Yo this is dope! Haha. Wait hold up! Then that means if I do Spinjitzu it outta be the color purple!" You say. "Most likely." Wu said. "Sweet! But wait, what exactly can I do with my so called powerful voice?" You ask.

"Your voice can do many things, when you sing either high or low, powerful sound waves emit and can take out a field of enemies or just one person. You can change pitch, you can change the sound of your voice to sound like someone or something else. And you can even put others in a trance with it. Your voice is very powerful, and it gets stronger everyday. We must help you control its power as soon as possible." Sensei Wu explains. "My momma had the same thing??" You ask and Sensei nods.

"That's really cool! But if my voice is a weapon and used for battle, well what if I just wanted to just use it to sing along to a song without hurtin' anyone!" "It can be controlled, you can both use it as a weapon and as a regular singing voice. How did you think your mother was able to perform concerts all those years?" "Well I guess that makes sense. When do we start?!" "After your final test tomorrow. My advice is to train and rest your voice." You nod your head and Jay just smiles widely.

"Seriously your powers sound awesome!!" He says with excitement and you smile widely too. "I know right! Maybe bein' a ninja ain't so bad after all!" You say. "Training is over for today, you may head home." Sensei says and walks out of the dojo. "Uh...Jay??" You ask and he smiles at you.

"Yeah?" "Um uh W-would Y-you....would you like to uh....maybe come to my uh, house F-for um D-dinner??" You ask nervously. "How's your mom's cooking?" He asks. "Her food is like the bomb! Well uh it's not an actual bomb I-i was just makin' a uh statement...yeah it's really good..." You say then blush at how stupid you sound right now.

Jay chuckles, "Sure! It was Cole's night to cook anyways and I'd love to get out of it! What time should I come?" You smile and your heart picks up speed. "Um uh...7?" "Sounds good! I'll uh see ya there!" He says with a smile and walks out of the dojo. You sigh in relief then smile widely.

You begin cheering and doing a happy dance. "Hoo-ooh!! Yeaaahhh!!!" You sing and just then the trophy shelf breaks and all the trophies fall to the floor. "Oops!" You say then run out of the dojo.

You arrive home and call your family down for another family meeting. "The purple ninja! Haha look at you!! Your a ninja already!" Your dad says and you chuckle. "I'm so proud of you baby!! I'm gonna thank Sensei when he comes over for dinner tonight!" Your mom says and you freeze. "I was supposed to ask Sensei?!" You ask and she nods.

"Baby I told you before you left the house! Who's comin' over instead??" She says and you fiddle with your fingers. "I uh may have asked my mentor...instead..." You say. "Well as long as it's someone that's training you." "Yo, yo, yo! Guys! Can we just talk about how dope her Gi is?! It's tight! I bet she's got hidden blades on it!" Your brother says and you chuckle.

"Yup I do." "Alright house rule! No weapons in the house." Your dad says and you and your brother start complaining. "Now, now, hold up! I said in the house! But may I remind you we have a backyard! You can do your ninja training outside." He says and you and your brother sigh in relief. "Alright everyone get cleaned up for dinner!" Your mom says then leaves for the kitchen. You check the time and see that it's 6:30 pm! "Whoops! Gotta hurry up!" You say and run up to your room.

You groom up a little bit and check yourself in the mirror making sure you looked casual but cute. As you fixed your hair, you were talking with Mikaela on speaker phone. "Apparently, I won't be singing for awhile till I get this whole voice thing under control." You explain to her while brushing your hair.

"Well hey! You can do it! I mean how hard can it be to not sing for like what a day?! Or two?!" She says and you put your brush down. "Um very hard! Music is my life yo! I sing almost everyday!" "Well just don't! It's for the best!" You sigh and check your hair and smile at your work.

"Fine." You tell her. "Sooooo!!! Jay's coming over huh?" She says and you almost trip over your own feet. "Don't say that...name while I'm getting ready! I might mess up!" You say and apply some makeup. "Oh you mean...Jaaayyyy???" You began to blush. "Girl, shut up."

"JAY JAY JAY JAY JAY!!!" She yells and you roll your eyes and you blush harder. "Oh yeah! Well LLOYD LLOYD LLOYD LLOYD!" You say back then she get quiet. "Fine...you win...but girl! This is like a big deal! Your family is about to meet your future boyfriend and you've got to look spot on ya know what I'm saying!"

You finish up your makeup and roll your eyes at Mikaela's words. "Girl he ain't my future boyfriend!" "Oh that's just pure denial right there." "Shut up!" "Since he's single he is SOOOOO gonna date you next." "Don't make me hang up!" "And besides! He's acting mysterious remember! I read a magazine and it says boys do that to a girl because they like her!!" "I'm gonna hang up!!!" "Jay totally likes you. Just wait till I'm right!" She says and you hung up.

You check yourself one last time in the mirror and you hear the doorbell ring downstairs and you squeal. "He's here!!!!" You say in excitement and run downstairs. You make it to the door then breathe in and out. You smile widely then open the door and your heart beats fast as soon as you see jay's smiling face. "Knock knock!" He says and you chuckle. "Whose there?!" You ask. "Orange!" "Orange who?" "Orange you gonna let me in?!" He asks you and you laugh and let Jay in.

"Don't tell me you practiced jokes to tell at the dinner table." You say and close the door. "Nah! Just that one haha." He says and takes off his gloves and puts it in his coat pocket then hangs up his coat and scarf. "Cute boots!" Jay says pointing at your fuzzy light green boot slippers. "Oh uh thanks."

As Jay takes off his shoes you notice his hair is...different. He looked really hot with his hair up like that. "So! Where's your family?" Jay asks you and you lead him to the living room to see if your dad and brother was in there. Normally before dinner they'd chill in front of the TV.

You nervously walked up to them. You cleared your throat to get their attention. "Dad, Bro, this is my uh mentor Jay, The Master of Lightning." You introduce. All three smile at each other and exchanged greetings and handshakes. "So you and Sensei Wu have been training my daughter?" Your dad asks and you just can't help but blush. "Yes sir! And I'd have to say, Marcy's getting really good! We're both proud of her!" Jay says and you blush harder and you bite your lip to stop yourself from blushing even more.

"Yo Jay?" Your brother asks him with a smirk. You looked at your brother and glared at him. Yeah he knew that you liked Jay after that one talk with Mikaela, he was at the door eavesdropping.  'If you freaking embarrass me tonight Ty I swear I'll kill you.' You say in your head. "Yeah Tyler?" Jay says and your brother chuckles.

"Call me Ty! Anyways..." Your glare on your brother grew more intense. "Do ya play video games??" He asks Jay and you take your glare off him and relax. Jay smiles widely, "Do I?! Video games are my life!!!" "Yo that's tight! Come by anytime!" He says and you chuckle.

Just then your mom called everyone to the dinner table for dinner. Your dad and your brother cheer and leave the living room. "You're family is so cool!!!" Jay says as he follows you to the dinning room. "Wait till ya meet my momma!" You say and you both enter the dinning room.

"Momma this is my mentor Jay! He's the-" you introduce but your mom cuts you off. "The Master of Lightning! A pleasure to meet you!! Glad to have you over!" You mom says and shakes jay's hand. "A pleasure to meet you too! Glad to be here!" Jay says with a smile. "Grab a seat and dig in!" Your mom says and both of them laugh.

'Well ain't he the little charmer.' You think to yourself and take a seat at the table. You really enjoyed dinner tonight! And you could tell that your family loved him too, which made you happy of course. Your brother, and your dad exchanged jokes and riddles with Jay and you all laughed.

You could tell, that Jay loved your family as well! After dinner they urged Jay to stay a little bit longer! And no one was more excited....then your brother Tyler. "C'mon man! I gotta show you my collection!" Ty says and drags Jay up to his room. "Ty!!! Ugh." You say and catch up to them.

You knock on Tyler's door and he opens it and pokes his head out. "Yes my sister? Do thou have a problem?" He asks you in a formal way and you just fold your arms. "Ty! I wanna talk to Jay." You tell him. "I gotta make sure he won't hurt you first. Give us 15 minutes and he's yours." Tyler whispers to you then closes his door. "Brothers..." You say and head to your room across the hall. You call up Mikaela. "Girl,  jay's here." You tell her and she squeals. "Tell him that you like him!" She says happily.

"Uh girl no! Have you lost your mind!?" You say. "Nope I'm serious, tell him how you feel!" "No. I'm not ready." "It's the perfect time!! Just make sure you both are alone! Don't worry you can like leave your phone on so I can hear what's going on!" "Mikaela I said no! I'm not doin it." "Oh but you will one of these days! Admit it Marcy I'm right most of the time!" She says. And just then there was a knock on your door. "Girl gotta go he's here." "TELL HIM!!" She says then hangs up.

You go for the door, "Knock Knock!" Jay says on the other side. and you chuckle at his cuteness. "Who's there?" "Adore!" "Adore who?" "Adore is between us! Open up!" Jay says and you chuckle and open up. "Big room!" He says as you close the door. "Haha thanks." You say and sit on your bed.

"Wow you really like the color purple." He says, looking around your room. "I guess. I don't know, I just thought it looks pretty cool! But blue's really my favorite color." "Really?!" "Haha yeah." You say with a blush.

You gesture for Jay to sit down on your bed and he sits across from you. "Jay, you don't have to exaggerate to everyone how 'good' of a ninja I am." You tell him. "I'm not exaggerating, you are a good ninja! I've seen you! I trained you and I really am proud!" He says honestly.

"Really?" You ask him and he smiles at you. "Really. I mean after all those cool moves you've done, even you have to admit that your pretty good." You chuckle then smile. "Fine, you got a point." You say.

"Hey, I what'd you and my bro do?" You ask him and Jay chuckles. "We played fist to face 3!" He says. "Oh boy." You say and roll your eyes. "Cool! You've got a guitar!! Can I?" You smile and grab it and give it to Jay. He plays a couple chords then plays the first verse to Kiss Me. You start to get butterflies again as you remember teaching him how to play it and how you almost kissed him.

Jay stopped playing then looked at you, "Hey, teach me how to play the chorus!" He says and you smile and scoot closer to him. You tell him what chords to strum and he does as you instruct. He learned pretty fast nod he was able to do both verse one and the chorus.

"Yay! Almost through the whole thing!" He says to you with a smile. You smile back and notice again, how close both your face was to his. And this time he looked at you again as if he was the one who wanted to kiss you.

You blushed and looked down, pulling you hair over to the side. Jay lifts up your chin, making you look up at him. He smiles at you and slowly brings your face closer. Your heart races and you close your eyes as you feel your lips get closer to his.

But! Just then the clock struck 9. You opened your eyes and Jay gave a mysterious smirk to you and got off your bed. "I uh gotta go. Hope you pass the test tomorrow." He says and gives you a wink before leaving your room.

You stay frozen on your bed trying to process what's going on. You were confused and yet surprised. Maybe Mikaela was right, maybe Jay does like you. Or maybe he was just messing with your head. You got off your bed and ran downstairs to catch up with Jay but you were too late.

His coat, shoes and scarf was gone! He had left. You opened the door and looked outside but Jay was no where to be seen. "Yo sis!" Your brother calls out to you. You turn around and face him. "Somethin' wrong?" He asks you and you look up at the night sky and look at the moon. "Yeah, everything's....fine." You tell him then sigh.
