~Time skip-present day~
I never forgave the Azure Clan, after all, would you forgive the very people who took a father from a little girl?
"Your Highness!" I hear a familiar voice called out from behind me. As of now, I was out in the fields practicing my fire magic.
"Yes, Haru?" I replied the fire around me fading into the air around us.
"There is someone here to speak with you." He grimly replied as he leads me back to the palace. I decided not to ask him who he meant. It's best not to when he's like this. Once we got to the conference room I almost had a heart attack when I saw who was waiting for me. She had black hair with small beads running down the front of her hair. She was wearing a long electric blue kimono with the Azure clan's coat of arms on the back, along with small black lightning bolts.
"Ah, you must be (Y/N)-chan!" The younger girl excitedly exclaimed, jumping up from her seat. "My name is Alluka! It's very nice to meet you!"
"Alluka was just here to finalize the agreement." Mother said, sipping her tea and glancing at our Azure guest.
"Its a pleasure to meet you Alluka, so I guess I have no choice now do I?" I said sarcastically messing with the end of my (H/L) (H/C) hair.
"(Y/N), manners!" my mother scolded, setting down her tea. "You know why we must do this." Of course, I knew why. A few years after my father was killed on the front lines my mother agreed for me to mary the 3rd child of the Azure clan. Killua Zoldyck. Even if he was 3rd in line he was still the one to take over the empire after his father, Silva Zoldyck, stepped down. I hated this. But I would do anything to end this war.
"I apologize Alluka, that was very rude of me" I spiteful replied as I bowed my head. I still hated these people, but I had a strange feeling that I could trust Alluka. And if I was stuck with those blue freaks, then I need a comrade.
"Oh, no problem! If you don't mind, I would like to get to know you better, soon-to-be-sister." Alluka exclaimed with a bright smile. And with that, my mother sent us to the gardens. Here in the Crimson Clan, we associate fire into our everyday life. This garden is no exception. Every pant here is infused with the embers of flame. "Wow," Alluka said in awe, her eyes wide looking at the luminescent flowers. "We used to have a garden, but our guard dog, Mike, destroyed it and we didn't bother to replace it." We walked in silence for a while longer until we reached a small pavilion. I dragged Alluka to a chair and sat down across from her.
"So... what do you want to talk about" I hesitantly asked, honestly wandering her answer
"Oh, well I wanted to talk to you about my family. So you have a small understanding of them before we leave here." Alluka replied as her face fell a small bit. Duly noted: Alluka doesn't like to talk about her family. "First off, there's Zeno: He's my grandfather and the strongest in the family. But he's also a lot more mercifully towards me and Kil." Kil? Does she mean Killua? "Then there my father: Silva. He doesn't really converse with us much. He's more focused on his kingdom and assassination."
"Assassination?" I gasped, kind of worried
"Ya, my entire family is assassins," Alluka replied in a cheery voice as if the thought had never bothered her. "No back to my family, My mother: Kikyo shes very overbearing and she's not a very nice woman. She only cares about us if it will affect her. The Oldest Son: Illumi, he's rather closed off and distant, he also mostly focuses on assassination. Then the second son: Milluki, he's a huge perv if im being honest." Alluka laughed as I let a small smile crack my face. "Then there's the future emporer: Killua." My breath hitched in my lungs. I had never heard anything about the notorious prince, except him being a ruthless fighter. So I listened closely to anything I could use. "Killua is the best user of lightning magic that has ever been seen in our clan. That's why he's going to be king ahead of Illumi and Milluki. Father says he has so much potential in him. He also loves sweets, and his best friends name is Gon. Next is me: Alluka, im not very good at fighting, but at least im nice! Me and Killua are the only nice ones" Alluka says with a giggle as I encourage her to continue. "And last is Kalluto, he's a lot like Illumi, except without eyes that look like they were cut out of a deer."
"Thank you for the information, I'll remember it," I replied with a small smile, I actually enjoy talking to Alluka. Even if her men did kill my father.
"But, I understand if you are hesitant to trust me," Alluka mumbles just loud enough so I can hear. "I wouldn't trust the people you have been at war with for the last 500 years." Alluka looks like she's about to cry.
"You mustn't worry about me Alluka, I actually do trust you," I say, this time a genuine smile on my face.
"That's good, I hope you give Killua the chance that you gave me." Alluka replied with a faltering grin, "Not I must be going if I am to make it back before dark,"
"Of course, let me show you out, but before that, may I see the famous lightning that your soldiers are always sporting around?"I ask hoping not to have offended my new almost-friend.
"Um" Alluka stuttered, not willing to look me in the eye "Not today, I'll show you some other time though" Interesting. Note number 2: Alluka doesn't like using her magic in front of people.
"No, im sorry for asking, Haru!" I yell from across the gardens, soon after he comes sprinting up. "Please escort Princesses Alluka back to her guard."
"Right away your highness," He says in a silly voice that always makes me laugh, Alluka giggles too. "If you will follow me"
"Goodbye (Y/N)!" Alluka yelled as she waves her hand frantically. I just gave a small wave back.
"Well, she had a lot of crap to burn off" I heard a deeper voice call out from behind me. As I turn around I come face to face with Sora and his chest plate.
"Oww, that hurt you jerk" I playfully yelled out, annoyed that I smacked into his chest.
"Well, that life for you," Sora replied pulling his black ponytail to the other side of his shoulder. "Are you ready for tomorrow?" I questioned, myself definitely not ready.
"It doesn't matter if Im ready, why did you agree to this?" Sora demanded with a stern expression on his pale face.
"Why did I do this?" I asked no one in particular. "I did this to stop this meaningless war"
"You know what I mean" Sora retorted his mouth turning into s frown. "Why did you chose the way that will make your life miserable"
"Becuase no more lives need to be lost in this war," I responded with fire in my eyes, also small embers starting to wisp up around me. "Because I am willing to sacrifice everything, even my life, to stop this. Because I care about these people that much. So much that I would do anything for their happiness, even if it means sacrificing my own happiness and freedom." And on that note me and Sora exchanged nods and went our separate ways. After all, Im meeting "Godspeed Killua" tomorrow, right in the heart of the Azure Kingdom.
