English class finally came to an end and me and Rejoice walked to the cafeteria for lunch , standing in the line we both ordered, I picking a plate of spaghetti and Rejoice meat pie and coke , normally I would have gone with snacks but I didn't eat before coming to school. Sitted in the cafeteria was me Rejoice, Moses and jidenna. We were all gisting when Jazmine spoke up.
" Guys don't you find it strange that  we haven't heard from heritage since on Monday and this is Wednesday "
   As if just realizing it we all wore shocked expressions
  " It's true ooo , like he has been off lately, I texted him the day after the program but he didn't see my message" Moses spoke up . He is the closest to Heritage.
  " Why don't we just go visit him today " jidenna spoke up taking a sip of his nutri milk drink, apparently that is he's favourite drink .
   " Yeah that'd be nice " I answered as the others nodded.
" Oh and I think we could also work on our Sunday School project there , you know we haven't even come up with anything for the practical" Rejoice brought up. And everyone agreed with her ...
I stared at the literature teacher as he spoke , we were practicing for the play

"  Acting  is all about dramatizing and feeling the character , when you act as a character you are expected to forget everything about your own self and fully be in the moment and able to feel... " Mr umani spoke on and went on to ask who would love to play the parts . Couple of hands were up , people who usually act and the ones who were in the school drama club .
" Why are they no new hands , come on , we can't keep having the same set of people , you know what I'll just pick the people since nobody new wants to volunteer .." Mr umani  was still speaking when the bell indicating school over rang . Many of my mates were already packing there things preparing to go home.
" Okay , I know all of you are in a rush to go home so I'll just go home and pick the students to act the part , I would then send the names of the selected to your class captain who would then send to you all , class captain! "  " Sir " our class captain temitope answered by then half of the class had already left . I stood up waiting for Rejoice to finish packing her things so we could all leave...
"Wow " Jazmine voiced as we reached the gate of heritage's house . And his house was wow , it's more of a mansion than a house.
  " Are you sure  we are in the right place ? " Rejoice asked facing Moses
While jidenna playfully nudged her
   " What ?  , I'm just saying he doesn't look like ... This " she replied using her hands for  emphasis causing us to laugh.
" Okay jokes apart , let's go in " Jazmine.
Moses walked up to the gate in front was a small flat screen typing in some numbers.
" The gate is automatic ?" I blurted before realizing myself and covering my mouth
     " I know right like can it get any better" Rejoice was still talking when the gate rolled open and oh my
It got better.
  " I can definitely trade anything to live here " jazmine said while jidenna raised a brow at her
  " Not anything sha , but you get .."
She was still explaining herself when a loud bark caused all of us to jump and run in different directions except Moses
  " Guys don't worry it's just tiger , it doesn't harm" Moses reassuringly said but we were having none of it .
   " That big black scary thing doesn't harm ?  Abeg ooo , please hold it " jazmine said  pointing towards the black fury big animal that had yellow eyes. I won't lie it was extremely scary
" I'm serious it doesn't harm "  Moses said holding the dog with both arms bringing it towards jidenna. We all ran in the direction of the black gate which was already shut
    " Guy abeg no use me do example"
" Come on why are you all scared? it won't bite you , I promise. "
" Maybe it won't bite YOU but it will definitely bite US" Rejoice screamed at him
Chuckling Moses  replied " okay fine, I'll hold the dog while you guys go to the door and knock "
  " Okay, but promise you won't let go " I replied him as I looked at the rest signalling them to run to the door of the house
" I promise" and that was all it took for us to run to the door and start knocking.
It took some minutes and the front door finally opened showing a tired looking heritage, his eyes widening as he saw us .
" What are you guys doing here ? " He asked shocked.
But still very conscious of the dog we all pushed him slightly and went in or rather ran in  the house. I could here heritage question Moses  from the front door .
We all sighed as we crashed on the couch.
" Firstly what are you guys doing here and why are you all looking like you just escaped death ? " heritage questioned
" That's because we did escaped death " I responded while he just stared at us raising an eyebrow before turning to Moses  with the same questioning look.
" Their talking about tiger " Moses replied. That was all it took for him to burst out laughing staring at every single one of us
     " Guy Even you ?  " Heritage  sayed turning towards jidenna
" Don't guy me , you wan make I stand there may that thing finish me " that caused him to laugh harder
  " It's just tiger it doesn't bite "
" Easy for you to say " Rejoice muttered besides me while he just chuckled 
" why are you guys here self ? " He asked sitting down
" What do you mean why are we here, you haven't been in school in 3 days , besides that what happened to your face " jazmine said pointing out the obvious which we all didn't notice. There is a  big  red mark on his right cheeks .
As if in cue heritage touched his cheek
" Is nothing really , I just fell . That's why I didn't come to school and I also wanted to have some free day to rest and sleep " he replied
  Scoffing jazmine replied him" Free day kor free day ni , okay Mr. free day I hope you're ready to copy all the biology, physics and further maths notes you missed"
Groaning he replied " I definitely didn't think of that aspect"
  " Of course you didn't" jidenna chipped in.
    " Is that the only reason why you guys are here? " He further asked
  " That and we realised we could also use the the time to do our Sunday School project " Moses  replied him
  " Guy can't you serve us drinks" jidenna asked playfully
  " I don't know oo , what kind of host are you self " Rejoice joined in
" The host that didn't invite his guests " he said and ran to where I presume as the kitchen as Jazmine carried the pillow next to her to stone him  .
  " Also bring your Bible on your way ooo , we forgot to bring ours " I called after him...
