* Amara's uniform 👆with a shirt*
I stood in the bathroom after having my shower, staring at my reflection, mostly my hair as I remember what happened yesterday
  " I like your hair" jidenna complimented touching a piece
" Yeah even me too , like it's so silk and straight" Jazmine added
That's the most I've ever gotten close to a compliment , after all the banter we finally decided a group name , and I got to find out they were actually attending the same school as me , which was surprising for them not me , knowing fully well , I know and talk to practically no one in my school.
     Coming out of the shower I placed on my uniform
My skirt stoping directly on my knee , grabbing my bag I walked downstairs
to meet my parents having breakfast, " Ajè Sir , Otôfè Ma " I greeted both of them in my local dialect 
" Amara, did you pray this morning" my mom asked after nodding her head to my greeting , my family was one not to joke with prayer we often did family devotion but I told my mum I would pray on my own today but I didn't.
" Ehm ..."
  " You didn't, you this girl , you'll start joining us for devotion " my mom  said
  " Eat fast , if not I will leave you and go " my mum said standing up from the dinning and going to the parlour , rushing down my break fast I followed her ...
Roseville academy was a very beautiful school located in Abuja , it was among the best schools in Abuja and ranking around the 7th best in Nigeria for their academics , sports, games,
and facilities. Coming down from my mom's car I sighed looking around, while my mom drove off .
       " Amara " a voice shouted my name , turning back I saw Rejoice beaming and waving at me and i slowly made my way to her , " so you do attend this school " another voice said , turning i saw Heritage and Moses walking towards us .
" Good morning" Moses greeted me
" Morning" I quietly replied
   Turning to me as we all walked Rejoice asked " what class are you science or art "
    " Art "  " how have you been in art class and this is my first time seeing you " she exclaimed 
" You're in art " " of course we're the best " she replied flipping her long straight extension
" Ha how will you say art is the best , that's a lie , we science are the best " Heritage exclaimed dramatically placing his hands on his heart
   " Which kind science , we are the best joor " moses replied him
  " God, I'm surrounded by art people abeg where Jazmine let she come and fight, we must uphold the science name "   " here i am , what's going on " Jazmine said from behind us , " ah thank God, this people are saying art is the best , please shame them " heritage voiced, the way he said it with all seriousness got me laughing
   " Ah I cannot oo , four against two , it's a lost battle" Jazmine replied joining in the act
  " Four ? " I asked puzzled
" Yes  you , me , Moses and jidenna" Rejoice replied.
Jidenna ;I had totally forgotten him
" So Una go just back down like that ?" Moses asked laughing
   " Jazmine I can't believe you fell the whole science hands, infact I need to tell the others what happened" heritage voiced walking away from her
   " Heritage abeg "  Jazmine sayed laughing and chasing after him...
   
     " What are you doing after school today ?" Rejoice asked me as I packed my things . I had sitten besides her today and probably permanently while Moses sat in our front , jidenna didn't come to school though Moses said he normally resumes the second day , I felt really happy today ; I'm pretty sure this is the most happiest I've been in my life.
      " Nothing really, why do you ask "
" I want to invite you for this Bible club I recently joined, it's really helpful and trust me you're going to love it ."
   " What club ? " Moses asked turning to face us while I zipped my bag and carried it on my back.  " Just this Bible club I joined it's really fun , you can come if you want to " she replied
  " Yeah sure , Time and place "
" I'll send it to the group" yesterday we had finally agreed courtesy to jidenna to form a group within us for communication and Incase we found anything helpful to the group.
" Okay " by that time we had already gotten to the front of the building and Moses walked away looking for Heritage so they could go home together, surprisingly they lived in the same area.
Walking into my house I walked upstairs to my room taking off my clothes and getting into the shower and for the first time I didn't spend time in the bathroom staring at the mirror. Being the only one home I warmed the leftover spaghetti from yesterday evening and ate it while I called my mum. I usually take the school bus after school cause she closes from work by 4 ,5 pm .
On the first ring she picked
  " Hello "  " hello mum , I called to ask for permission to go out , my friend from church invited me for a Bible study so I might come home by latest six " " of course honey, you didn't tell me you have a friend, invite her over sometime for dinner okay , what's her parents name "
    " Mr okechukwu" " okechukwu, I know that family very lovely people, have fun okay " " I will bye " I replied cutting the call .
From her voice I could tell mum is happy, this was the first time I ever talked about friends in about 6 years. And am currently 16 . Secondary school definitely changed me, a lot.
A/N what do you think about the chapter and the banter between Amara's new friends. Lastly what do you think about her friends .
I also want to add that most times if you feel down check the people around you , if you are always around people with negative energy or you yourself have negative energy you'll always be negative so surround yourself with positive energy , you'll fell a lot better 🤗.
