Chapter 4: And then there were Two
"Congratulations Tsuyoshi Satsuki, your injury managed to heal completely. And you seemed to have recovered your lost strength." The doctor said to the blue haired boy. "This is definitely some sort of miracle, I've never seen an injury like yours heal so suddenly."
Tsuyoshi nodded as he stood up from the hospital bed.
"Yeah, though I have to catch up on a lot of training and schoolwork." Tsuyoshi said, grabbing his bag.
"And that's where I come in Onii-chan." A familiar female said.
Tsuyoshi looked in the direction of the voice. Calmly walking into the room was Satoko. She wore her usual warm, calming smile as she walked over to him and gently hugged Tsuyoshi's tall frame.
"Imouto-chan... I didn't know you'd show up so soon." Tsuyoshi said, hugging his sister back.
"I heard about your recovery and showed up for my volunteer work early." Satoko replied, releasing her brother from the hug. "Since you recovered, I can catch you up on all of your classes."
Satoko dug threw her school bag, pulling out some notebooks.
"I made some notes of all the lessons you've missed in a way where you can understand and learn everything quickly." Satoko claimed with a smile. "You'll catch up in no time! It'll be as if you never missed a single lesson!"
"Knowing you, you're probably right." Tsuyoshi agreed, patting the bluette on the head. "How did I end up with such a smart sister?"
"Satsuki-san, you always seem to be putting others ahead of yourself." The doctor said to the female. "Aren't you also a class representative at your school?"
"I am. Helping others is my strength, so I don't mind." Satoko answered with a smile. "Though Onii-chan will have to ask a member of the soccer team to get his physical strength back. I'm afraid archery and soccer have different training procedures."
"That's alright." Tsuyoshi reassured the bluette, messing up her hair a bit. "You've done everything you can for me."
"Thank you Onii-chan..." Satoko said, smiling at her brother.
While this is going on, a familiar apple green haired girl lazily stood in the corner of the room, watching the two siblings.
"Heh! He has no idea!" The greenette said to herself, knowing that only the other female will hear her.
Little does Tsuyoshi know how true his statement was...

"The school festival will be held two weeks from now. I highly encourage the entire class to start preparations now." Satoko said to the class. Her tone consisted of seriousness and calmness. "Does anyone have any suggestions?"
"Please, please, PLEASE!!!! Let no one suggest anything where I'm required to talk to strangers!" I desperately thought, praying to every god I could think of.
"Why don't we have a butler and maid cafe?"
Kill me now! End me!!!
I whipped my head around, looking for my most recent killer. That's when I realized who was the one that pretty much suggested my death:
Haru.
....Why must life be so cruel?!
I let my head hit the desk, crying in misery. I could feel my soul leaving my body.
"You're overreacting...." Hoshiko said, only heard by me and yet it fell on deaf ears.
"I want to die..." I muttered under my breath in German, head still face planted on the desk.
No one in class but me speaks German, so no one could understand me.
"There there..." Hoshiko comforted me, gently stroking my pink hair.
"So who votes for the butler and maid cafe?" Satoko asked.
I snapped back into reality, lifting my head from the desk.
"Please let no one raise their hand! Please let no one raise their hand! Please let no one -!"
...More than half of the class raised hand...
I immediately took off my glasses and banged my head on the table.
Please someone just kill me...

"Do you feel better now Ai-chan?" Satoko asked, holding a warm cup of tea.
After me spending the day mentally dead, Satoko decided to treat me to some strawberry cheesecake at my favorite cafe. I insisted that I had more than enough money to pay for my own slice of heaven, but Satoko stood her ground, saying she had something to tell me anyways.
"A-A bit..." I mumbled, savoring each bite. "S-So what did y-you want t-to tell me...?"
Satoko took another sip of her tea, carefully holding the tea cup like an elegant princess, and gently placing the cup back on the saucer.
"Right. I wanted to tell you that Onii-chan has just gotten out of the hospital. It will be about a week before he can come back to school, but he's made a complete recovery." Satoko explained.
My pink eyes widened in surprise.
"R-Really...?! Tsuyoshi onii-chan i-is out of t-the h-hospital...?!" I asked.
While I haven't been friends with Satoko for as long as I've been friends with Seiki, I've developed a sisterly bond with her and her older brother. Tsuyoshi is only a year older than us, he was on the soccer team before the incident. Earlier during the first term back in May*, Tsuyoshi ended up in an unfortunate accident that left most of his limbs severely damaged.
"That's right. Onii-chan is currently catching up with all his missed lessons and he's planning on getting back into shape." Satoko confirmed, taking another sip of tea. "I do hope that the soccer team let's him back on. If not this year, then next year."
"Y-Yeah...!" I shyly agreed, taking another bite of my strawberry cheesecake.
"You should come to my house with me to visit Onii-chan!" Satoko suggested.
"O-Okay...!" I agreed with a smile, excited to see my older brother figure out of the hospital.
Hoshiko, who was standing next to me in silence, suddenly bolted up from the cream colored wall she was leaning against.
"Ai-chan, there's a demon pretty close to this area." Hoshiko said. "We have to go!"
Of course a demon comes when it's most inconvenient...
I quickly shoved a giant piece of my strawberry cheesecake in my mouth -trying to make make it look as normal as possible- and stood up from my seat.
"Is something wrong Ai-chan?" Satoko asked, surprised by my sudden actions.
"U-Um...I-I..." I stuttered, trying to come up with an excuse. "...P-Phone call...! I-Important...! U-Um I'll be back...! S-Stay here...!"
I dashed off before Satoko could question my poor excuse. I exited the cafe and hid behind the building.
"You need to work on your excuses..." Hoshiko stated.
"I-I panicked...! W-we were i-in a rush...!" I cried, taking out my crystal. "L-Let's j-just transform already...!"
Hoshiko connected her hands with mine, fusing the two of us together. After that was done, I extended my wings and flew off to my destination.
One I got there, I witnessed a demon that resembled a scorpion. Its tail striked down everything in sight. I noticed that there was a small girl who was unconscious under a pile of rocks.
I flew to the girl, without the demon's attention on me. I casted a levitation spell on the pile of rocks to remove them from the little girl. I checked her pulse to make sure she was okay - thankfully she was - and moved her to safety.
Once that was done, I made my way over to the demon to fight it. Summoning my sword, I direct the demon's attention towards me. I attempt to strike it, however it kept trying to strike me with it's tail.
"It's tail is laced with poison." Hoshiko stated. "Avoid its tail at all costs!"
"I'll try..." I responded, eyes locked on the demon's tail.
The demon attempted to attack me with its tail some more. I jumped around to avoid it, not using my wings so the demon cant strike me down with them. I attempted to attack the demon with my sword, but every time I turned around it would swing its tail in my direction.
I eventually found myself trapped in a corner. The demon's tail towered over my head so flying wasn't an option. Not to mention the moment I try to attack it, the demon will strike down.
For the first time in awhile I found my heart pounding in fear. I was scared, no, terrified. I considered detransforming and letting Hoshiko take care of it, but Hoshiko's attacks could destroy more than just the demon. My brain was also filled with too many thoughts of dying to cast a spell.
"W-What... do I do...?" My voice cracked.
Just when I looked like the demon was going to strike me down, it was hit with three large green flaming arrows.
What...?!
The force of the arrows sent the demon flying back and crashing into a wall. I quickly move from my spot and looked around the area.
That's when I saw her. A girl with a bow and arrow. Not just any girl, it was obvious that she was a magical girl.
She had a look of determination on her face. One half of her hair was green and the other half was blue. She had blue eyes and a freckled face. She wore a long blue flowy shirt with green buttons, green polka dots, and a dark blue ribbon with an aqua colored spade charm. She also wore a white off the shoulder puffy sleeved under shirt with green ribbon and blue spade charm on her chest. She also had long blue fingerless gloves. She wore white capris with a little blue bows on the ends, and white heels with a white pearl anklet with a mini blue spade charm on her left leg. Wrapped around her neck was a golden choker with a blue spade charm.
Then I took a another look at her hair.... Besides the dark blue butterfly earrings, mini dark blue hair pins, and dark blue bow with an aqua blue spade charm that held her hair in a ponytail, there was one thing that stood out to me....her blue and green butterfly hair pin. I recognize that hair pin anywhere, after all, I did say it was quite unforgettable.
"Satoko-chan...?" I questioned.
"I apologise for my tardiness." The girl -or Satoko - said with a small bow, moving her bow to the side. "I'll explain later, right now, there's a demon we need to finish."
Remembering the demon, I turned my head in its direction. Its tail got stuck in some rock and it was currently trying to pull it out.
I finally took some time to study the demon and found it's weak spot, ironically it was its tail.
I took this chance to cast a spell on the demon to keep it from escaping and ran towards it, sword in hand. Jumping up, I lifted my sword above my head, letting it glow with a pink light.
"Heaven's rage!" I shouted as I swung down, slicing the demon's tail off.
The demon turned into dust, allowing the two of us to strengthen our magical power.
Speaking of two of us...
I turned myself towards the blue and green haired female.
"So, now would be a good time for an explanation Satoko-chan."
To be continued.
